How do you welcome in the weekend? Because those of rituals and routines I think are really important. And you know, the amount of stress, anxiety, anger, grief that we are all under

and consuming on a regular basis. It warrants like lighting a candle, taking a walk, doing a meditation, you know, doing a prayer, buying yourself some flowers, right, like you know, playing with your pets, like just doing something that when you shut down your laptop or you put down your badge or you clock out that what's the next step?

If I never have to worry about a fascist takeover about you know, whether Donald Trump is going to incite World War three or whether or not he's going to be the general

in the Civil War two point zero. Like I just if nothing else comes from this election, aside from a major loss on his part, if I never have to care about Donald Trump again, you will never have to get me another gift. Do you know what I'm saying?

I will never need anything else but that because I will gain so much space in my life and in my brain, right all of us will like, what was the last time that you didn't think about Donald Trump, whether it was a headline that flashed up on your phone or conversation you know, over dinner, like it's all the time. And you know, I think it was Larry David.

I forget who was interviewing him, but he was just like asked about Trump and he went off for like a good two minutes and then said, oh, yeah, no I'm not I'm not bothered at all by him, right like it, you know, it's just humorous. Nonetheless, Donald Trump's lawyers tried once again to delay the hush money case.

The hush money case, you know, for all who have been playing at home, is when you know, this devout bible selling Christian all with quotation marks, decided to sleep with a porn star, cheat on his wife, lie to her, and then pay said porn star off with campaign funds. I wonder if that's included in his Trump Bible. So that judge has denied the delays, that case is supposed to begin later this month, and so we will see

if that actually unfolds. Right now down in Florida with another one of his cases, you got Judge Cannon who is now going head to head with Jack Smith because she's in the pocket of Donald Trump. Why is this motherfucker even allowed to hear this case? I don't know. She has no experience, right, And also we know that she's in the bag for Donald Trump by every move that she's made, and that her own colleagues call into question write her intellect, right, and her legal prowess or

lack thereof, And so I don't know. Again, I'm not a lawyer, So I don't know if Jack Smith can appeal, continue to appeal her decisions up to a higher court, if he can ask for recusal. But then, of course, again, judges can do whatever the fuck they want in this country. Enter into the chat Clarence Thomas. So it's up to her to decide if she's going to accuse herself, and of course she's not, because Donald Trump put her there

for the very thing that she's doing. So who ever knows if we're going to ever hear that document's case, if the jury is going to be instructed in a way that totally has them, you know, living in never never Land and not really understanding the details and the issues around the stealing of documents and government secrets. Like you know, I throw out my hands at that case as well as I do all of them, because I continue to say to all of you that the courts

are not going to save us here. The courts are not going to save democracy. It is going to be us who decides to vote for Joe Biden. So let me talk about where things are with Joe Biden for a moment. Joe Biden has put himself in white the pickle as it pertains to his allegiance to Benjamin Netanyahu

and Israel. And if you listen to my other show, Democracy Ish, then this week, Wajahat and I go into detail on the horrific crime that the IDF, one of the many horrific crimes that the IDF has perpetrated against humanitarian workers with the killing of the seven humanitarian workers from the World Central Kitchen, Jose Andreas's humanitarian food effort.

And for whatever reason, and this is not it hasn't been new policy with Israel, but the United States has been interlocked and intertwined and essentially the and you know, the major country that continues to keep Israel afloat. And this is before the war, right, this is going back

since its establishment seventy five years ago. But here's the thing, folks, Times change, people change, right, And I don't know how over the last six months you look at the war crimes that are being committed because they are war crimes, folks. And why do I call what is happening in Gaza a war crime? Oh, I don't know, because develop nations sign a pact around how you operate in war. There

are rules for engagement in war. Now. While I would love war not to exist at all, and we just you know, use diplomatic means to establish relationships and deal with acts of aggression and what have you. The world is still ruled by men and that's how men operate us through war and violence, right, Like, that's just facts. And you agree to certain things like creating humanitarian corridors, to not weaponizing food, medicine, the basics, to try and

minimize the loss of civilian life. Well to this point, within the last six months, over thirty two thousand Palestinians have been murdered, mostly children. And now we have reached a stage in this war where as every outlet has said, Gaza is on the brink of famine. People are starving to death. Why is that because the IDF is blocking humanitarian aid and food and resources from being able to get into Gaza. They also have lied countless times on where the safe zones are. They tell the people in

the north to go to the south. They bomb the fuck out of both places, right and invade both places because guess what, there is no safe fucking zone. There is no humanitarian corridor. It was an open air prison before and now that's just an open air prison that they're bombing the fuck out of to eliminate an entire group of people. Folks, I don't need to have a foreign affairs degree to see with my own eyes what is happening. So this attack happens Netanya, who says, well,

things like this happen in war. As of the time of this recording, Joe Biden has been on the phone with Netanya, who's saying that we need an immediate ceasefire for how long? Who the fuck knows? Right, Jose Andreas is calling for an independent investigation because, oh, I don't know. For whatever reason, we think that the people that do the horrific crimes and the dehumanization and the decapitation and the bombing and the rape are somehow going to investigate themselves.

And I wonder how many fucking mistakes and accidents need to happen in order for us to see the pattern of intentionality. Just a fair question. And for those people that were quiet at the beginning of this war are now starting to speak up in mass across stations and say, yeah,

we need to stop this right the fuck now. Because my question is, folks, if it had been Putin in Ukraine that intentionally dropped not one, not two, but three missile attacks on the World Central Kitchen, then after they had provided their coordinates with the IDF, what the fuck do you think the White House would be doing and saying about Putin in Russia right now? Right? What do you think they would be saying? What do you think what action do you think that they would be taking.

So when the shoe is on a different foot, in a different country and the victims are different, then we can make up excuses as to why we're gonna continue on with business as usual. When the business is killing and murder and famine, it don't make no sense, folks, which is why the Muslim community did not show up for the White House's if Tar that they have done every year under a Democrat, under most presidents outside of

Donald Trump. So they turned what was supposed to be this grand gathering that happens right for various communities at the White House into just a gathering where you know,

people ended up walking the fuck out. And so at what point do you recognize if you are Biden and you are the Biden campaign and you say that tying our fate to Netanyahu, which is not popular in his own fucking country where people are out in the streets and eat even the families of the hostages themselves are calling for a fucking ceasefire, how do you continue to think that linking your fate with his is going to serve you well or serve democracy well in November? Why

are you willing to gamble with this? Now? I have told people before and I will tell people again that things will get absolutely, unimaginably worse if Donald Trump were to become president. So, to my anger and frustration and just disgusted at what this administration has done in Gaza, I know fucking goodwill that Jared Kushner, donald Trump's son in law, said this looks nice for beachfront property. Let's

just bulldoze the joint. So I know, folks, that we are right now between a rock and a cliff that goes into a vult hano that is currently erupting in the bowels of Hell. I know this, but I still know that, like Biden, is a parachute that doesn't have a hole in it, and that maybe we can find some safe ground somewhere once we land. But folks, we got to fucking land first, and by land, I mean land this election plane in a place that is safe

for our democracy. But Biden keep playing fucking games like he's not paying attention to what is happening on the ground. It ain't just people who are Muslim that are fucking done with this war. It's just so I don't even know. But let me switch gears to talk about the corporate media real quick. So I am so like just there

is no journalistic integrity. There hasn't been right like for a long time, because newsrooms are run by white men who are systs, who are middle of the road, and who don't like to attack other white men because apparently that's like attacking themselves. So instead of putting out headlines that say Donald Trump is lying about the current state of the American economy. They put out headlines like Biden and Trump have differing opinions on the economy, the data

is clear, which is what CNBC did. And I'm looking at this headline, and mind you, I click on it and it would take me about five six paragraphs down to get to the place where they say that Biden's account of where the economy is is correct and on par with the data. But they never called Donald Trump a liar. They never call out what it is that he's saying. They never say that America's economy and bounce back after COVID is pretty much the envy of the

world right now. And it's all because of the decisions that the Biden administration made when they got into office in twenty twenty one, after woeful neglect that was the reason behind half a million Americans to that point dying from COVID. You look at these things. I saw another news article that was about, uh, the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, and it said Mike Johnson tricked by news

article about religious Easter eggs. Mike Johnson decided to retweet and share an article from the racist white supremacist outlet, the Daily Caller, that said that Biden was at war on Easter and not allowing religious images on the White House Easter roll eggs. Mind you, that has been the rule since nineteen seventy eight, well before Biden became President of the United States, and at a time when we all agreed that there should be a separation between church

and state. But let me not get let the truth get in the way of a good misinformation tweet coming from the current speaker of the fucking House. Why would the headline say that he was tricked? Did somebody force him to go to the Daily Caller and not to go to any reputable news outlet to verify before he shared with his followers, he wasn't tricked, right, Like, this wasn't the Scooby Doo episode. He made a conscious choice, and then when the Daily call retracted their own story,

he didn't take down his tweet. Folks, it is things like this that drive me fucking crazy and make me not want to watch the news and just go and get what it is that I need from the places that are reputable ish. But I mean, that's all fucking relative, because there are some people that are allowed to write op eds in these legacy papers and in these legacy places, and I'm just like, so, you're just courting dictators, liars and fascists, all in the vein of both sides. I'm

so over it. What I will say as I close out today is this election is so important. And I was asked earlier this week on the Tavis Smiley Show, Danielle, you know, people are told every election is the most important election, and they're tired of hearing this. What do

you say to that? And my response was, if you care about freedom, if you care about your rights, if you care about bodily autonomy, if you care about the environment, then you have to understand that you don't get to just do your job every four years and hope that things will be good right when there are people that are actively trying to undermine our country and they are in positions of power, they are not on the fringe.

So yeah, I'm gonna say it every fucking election until our elections are back to a place where it's not between democracy and authoritarianism. I can go back to the days where it's just a fucking bad Republican or a mediocre Democrat. But when it's between essentially life and death for everyone that is not white, Sish, straight, and pseudo Christian. Then I'm going to tell you that it's the most important election of your life and you should vote like that.
