But you know, on Friday, when I had our friend the Reverend Mark Thompson on to talk about and reflect on the good things that have happened, it has occurred to me as I talked with my friends about the release of Brittany Griner. I want us to reflect as we head into the end of this year on the things that we thought were going to be disastrous that actually ended up not being so bad, or even better, illuminating the things that we actually need to be working on and continue to work on as we go into the new year. And yes, I'm going to tap into some current events like that absolute fucking Trader piece of shit Kristen's cinema and the news that broke

at the end of last week. But I want to reflect on the fact that the reality that we did not have a red wave, a red tsunami. The fact that, for the first time I think that people have said and I believe that Mark said this last week. The fact that Joe Biden is the first president to gain governorships, for the party, to gain the majority in the Senate, to only have lost the House by a handful of seats when his predecessors lost in their terms twenty thirty

sixty right seats. That the work that Joe Biden has been doing. And look, folks, I give credit where credit is due, and when it's time to criticize people, I will absolutely criticize them. But let's take a moment to talk about Joe Biden and Joe Biden's wins as president and the things that he said that he would do on the campaign trail and the things that he is doing. First off, Joe Biden came in and assumed office a couple of days after the insurrection in twenty twenty one.

He comes in as a healing figure for the nation at a time when we had just gotten our hands on the vaccines and did a massive undertaking that this country has never seen in order to get shots in arms and people out of harm's way from COVID nineteen that the prior administration allowed to run fucking havoc over this country. Right, Joe Biden does that. He provides relief checks COVID checks to people that lost their jobs. Joe Biden said that he was going to provide student loan

debt relief. Joe Biden provided student loan debt relief. And it is Republicans right now that have the debt relief tied up in the courts because they want to make sure that Americans suffer as much as possible, because they are not about It is not even about progress. It is about suffering. It is about oppression. It is about owning the Libs, even if you are spiting your own

fucking people. Joe Biden delivered for Generation Z while I and in many conversations with our other good friend, doctor Jonathan Metzil, have had conversations about the need for a critical gun reform gun safety legislation in this country to stop the shootings that we have seen in Buffalo and in Colorado Springs and in Uvaldi and in all of the other places that have happened that I am forgetting at this moment because there have been so many. He did pass some kind of bipartisan bill. Now do I

think that that bill has teeth? No, I don't. But he said that he would do it, and he did it. Joe Biden staved off a railroad workers strike. You know from this show, from my other show The New Abnormal on the Daily Beast and with democracy issue that I have talked very openly about the fact that we live in a greedy, fucking society that makes workers choose between higher wages and their healthcare while we're still living in a global health pandemic that is disgusting. Is that just

Joe Biden's fault? Absolutely not. Did he divert what could have been an economic nightmare? Absolutely? The bigger question that I keep posing is why is profit more important than people? Right? But that is he is working within the confines of the system that he didn't built. He is leading, and folks will say, well, then he can change it. No, we know that that is not how government works. We

don't have a king, regardless of what it is. The Republican Party and Donald Trump would like to think so Joe Biden got that done. Gas prices were through the roof. We got those down. The Supreme Court said that women and people with uteruses no longer have control over their bodies.

Joe Biden has passed executive orders to ensure and to and have passed regulation, federal regulation to ensure that in cases of emergency that women and people with uteruses will still be protected because federal law in this case will supersede state law. He got that done. We just signed

right last week. The Respect for Marriage Act. The Respect for Marriage Act was put together after Clarence Thomas, that piece of shit signaled with the dab's decision that every right that has been one to expand right justice for all Americans, what's going to be on the chopping block, including same sex marriage. So what this bill does, the Respect for Marriage Act, which says this, if you were married in a state that recognizes same sex marriage, that if you were to go from let's say from New

York to Alabama. I don't know why you would do that, but let's say you did go from New York to Alabama, that regardless of whether or not Alabama a state, that if Oberfeld were to be repealed by the Supreme Court, your marriage would still need to be recognized by the state of Alabama. Now, if I lived in Alabama and wanted to get married in Alabama, if in fact Oberfeld were to be rescinded, that couldn't happen. But I could fly from Alabama to New York, get married, and go

back and they would have to recognize my marriage. So that was done. Joe Biden signed that into law. Joe Biden told Jim Clyburne, right House Representative and fourth in leadership in the Democratic Party, who won Joe Biden the presidency by delivering South Carolina in the primaries. When everyone was counting Joe Biden out, he said, I want a black woman on the Supreme Court. Joe Biden delivered with the appointment of Katangi Brown Jackson, the first black woman

to serve on the Supreme Court. So in every case where Joe Biden has been counted out, has been overlooked or disparaged. And hey, folks, I'm being honest. I have done so on this show as well. You turn around and you realize, oh, this motherfucker is delivering dark Brandon is actually showing up and doing the goddamn thing, and what he told Brittney Grinder's wife that we are going to work to get Brittany out of this hostage situation in Russia because they are using her as a political pawn.

Joe Biden got Britney Grinder released as well as another marine that was released and was being held up during the Trump administration because they don't give a fuck about people. So, folks, when we take a look at our current state, our current political state, and you take a look at where things are as we make the move into tw twenty three,

Joe Biden has delivered four Democrats. He has delivered for this country and I have no doubt that as we tee up into the twenty twenty four presidential election that

Joe Biden will deliver again. And so I say all of this as we head into this week that it is really important for us to pull ourselves out from the misery, talk from the destruction, talk from you know, the consistent pull of existential disaster, and recognize the wins and celebrate those wins when they happen, because that's what gratitude looks like, right, And what Joe Biden has done

is put that into action. Is put what he has said and what he has promised that he would do, he has put into action, and he is quietly been working and toiling away, even as the media has tried to make him out to be this feeble minded old man that needs to just be put out to pasture by posing questions of is he too all to run? And is it too much of this and blah blah blah. Why don't you watch his record and listen to what

he says and stop with the catastrophizing. Right. That is not to say that we are out of the woods when it comes to the threats that our democracy is under on a regular basis, because the Republican White supremacist Party is absolutely unrelenting in their desire to overturn our government and to turn America into an authoritarian, fascist regime.

But let's pay attention to who's been doing the pushback and who's been delivering for America and make sure make sure that that message is what is clear and delivered to the American people and not this, oh, nothing is getting done and everything is bad, because that is not the case. So let me switch gears and talk about what the political climate has been with regard to the

release of Brittany Griner. Now, on the day of her release, I made mention very briefly to how elated I was and am at the fact that a wrongfully accused and convicted black queer woman was used as a political pawn by America's sworn enemy Russia and putin to get the

release of a convicted arm stealer. And the bullshit coming out of the right is so disgusting and dripping with racist and massage in war and homophobia and all the things to basically say that her life, much as we know that they think about black lives in general, don't fucking matter. And oh, why didn't you get the white man out? Well, let me ask you this. He's been in prison for the last four fucking years. Why didn't

Trump get him out? Why instead of working on pardons for Mike Flynn and Joe Arpaio, who you know, tortured undocumented immigrants, and Mike Flynn, who is actually a fucking agent of Russia and the navy seal who raped and

murdered innocent people in the Middle East. Why instead of pointing to the release of an innocent woman and saying that that somehow shouldn't have happened when if we all remember that before Donald Trump and trumps Um and fucking Magadum, that the release of him, an American citizen that is being held as a political prisoner by our sworn enemies, was not a partisan fucking issue. It was something that everyone in the country cheered and celebrated and wish them well.

So it just goes to show you how fucking depraved the Republican Party is at this moment and will continue to be. There's no going back, folks, There's no going back to a time when we could come together and all look at an American citizen and the American flag and say yay for our president. Those times are long gone. And what I want instead of people trying to defend Brittany Grinder, I want people to fucking call out Republicans

for their unpatriotic, depraved bullshit. That's what the fuck I want. I want people instead of saying, oh, well, it was only this amount of a vape oil, and oh it was this or that or what. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck if Brittany Griner was like moving fucking bricks. Okay, of cocaine in her fucking luggage. If she was taken hostage by a hostile dictator, an enemy of democracy, it is a victory to get her

fucking home. So miss me with the bullshit. When we look at the hot shit that Donald Trump did while he was president of the United States. Oh, I don't know, Like stealing nuclear documents in order to enrich himself. Maybe that maybe making deals with NBS so that his son in law gets two billion dollars post his presidency. That seems fishy. Maybe the fact that Donald Trump negotiated the release of members of the Taliban, you know, the regime

that beats and kills women. Maybe the fact that Donald Trump almost tweeted us into nuclear war not only with Iran, but also with fucking North Korea. Don't talk to me about all the ways in which you don't care. You show your fucking ass and your white hood every time we allow Republicans to put us on the defensive for something that should be celebrated nationwide. Britney Griner is a two time Olympic gold medal winner. She is a WNBA

champion and superstar. The only reason why Britney Grinder was in Russia in the first fucking places, because we do not have pay equity, not anywhere in this country for women, let alone in sports. She shouldn't have needed to go to Russia. No female athletes should have to go to a foreign country in order to make ends meet because as the top the leaders in their sport, they're not paid the same amount as men. That's the larger story.

So do not waste your breath or your finger muscles tweeting at the fucking trolls on the internet and trying to defend Brittany Griner. Put them on their asses about how they are cheering on a dictator and cheering on right a murderer who is putin who is blowing up civilian apartment buildings, blowing out power grids. That's who the conservatives quote unquote are cheering. Not for America, not for democracy, and not for the betterment of the country or for

our celebrated athletes. So shut the fuck up. And also just a reminder that living in a democracy means that you have the right to criticize your government. So Brittany Griner using her platform to talk about the killings of unarmed people, unarmed black people by police officers doesn't make her unpatriotic. As a matter of fact, it makes her the most patriotic because she believes that her country can be better and she wants it to be How about that. I needed to get that off my chest. Moving on

Kirsten Cinema. Mmmmmmm, where does one begin? Do we begin with the denim vest? Do we begin with being a trick for the spotlight? Do we begin with needing to be pat on the back by the likes of Mitch McConnell. Do we begin with her dalliance in Europe with donors there and not giving a fuck about the people of Arizona. So when Kirstin Cinema decides to come out and say that she's going to be an independent because she doesn't care for political fighting and the like, here's what Kirstin

Cinema is actually saying. What she is saying is that she doesn't stand for democracy and that she stands for and with the people that are trying to overthrow the government. When she talks about political infighting, there is only one party that has made the opposition the enemy of the state and has said that Democrats are trying to kill us. That is a quote directly from Marjorie Taylor Green. There is only one party that is turned to political violence.

I look at oh, I don't know every single Trump flag that was flying on the day of the insurrection January six, twenty twenty one. There is only one party that mocked the attempted murder of the husband of the Speaker of the House. There is only one party who has literally put the faces of their colleagues in crosshairs on their website or created anime videos that show their murder.

So don't use some both sided bullshit to cover your ass, because guess what you are an intention fucking whore, and I will say it. I will name what it is, because that is who the Fuckkerson Cinema has been. Her announcement changes absolutely nothing. Would have voting rights. We would have codified abortion rights if not for her and fucking Joe Mansion. So miss me with your independent woman bullshit,

And think that by making this announcement, oh, that means that people are gonna come and court you more. you're good at being a senator. You heard it here, folks. It is really interesting the infighting that we are seeing right now within the Republican Party.

And while we all love to revel in fuckery, and there's nobody that loves to revel in fuckery more than me, I want us to recognize that what Republicans are in fighting about is who can actually be the worst right Kevin McCarthy may or may not become the next Speaker of the House, and if he does, he's basically a hostage of the Freedom Caucus and Donald Trump. And I don't feel bad for him because he has no spine, he has no soul, he has no brain. He just

wants to be able to hold the gavel. He doesn't care who's actually wielding the power behind him. He just wants to feel important. He's kind of the worst type of person. But don't get caught up in the rhetoric that I'm starting to hear the chatter I should say that I'm starting to hear with regard to the Republican Party imploding, because you see, this is what mainstream media loves to do, is like they like to create this level of drama that then people who are paying attention.

Democrats who are paying attention begin to tap out because they're like, oh, the Republicans are going to eat their own So I don't need to activate. I don't need to be activated or conscious or vigilant about my democracy and what's going on, because they're going to implode. Have

we seen the Republican Party implode yet? No, we haven't, and we have watched them delivered to the people of Georgia herschel Walker, delivered to the people of America, Donald Trump, deliver to try and deliver doctor Oz, Doug Mastriano, Kerry Lake, all of these fucking crackpots right to try and destroy our government from the inside out. So we cannot sleep on these people and think that they're going to destroy themselves. No, no, no,

that's not what's going to happen. And trust and believe that if Donald Trump doesn't end up actually running for president of the United States, I mean, we know that he announced that he is running, but let us also be clear that the Trump organization was just found guilty on seventeen counts of fraud, right, all different types of fraud and tax evasion and all of these things, and that the Special Council has been appointed, and that the

January sixth Committee is about to provide criminal referrals to the Department of Justice. All of these things signal a closing end of the walls on Donald Trump. But we've seen this play before just alike. We've seen the Republican Party do a quote unquote autopsy to see where they are headed. And guess what, folks, they are like a cat with nine fucking lives, They keep coming back. So in order for us to actually see the destruction of the Republican Party, we have to be the ones that

are wielding the swords ourselves. Now. I know that those swords get heavy, and every once in a while, folks, we do need to put them down or pass it off to the other person so that we can rest and stretch. But here is the reality. Do not get caught up by the mainstream media's quest for ratings, and they're bullshit in thinking that we don't have any more work to do. What twenty twenty two the midterm cycle has shown us is that people are woke as fuck.

People are conscious to the ropodope that the Republicans are trying to pull right, and we have staved off disaster. But we are not out of harm's way, right. They are still coming, and we have enough time and now enough people to regroup and to strategize about how we

take them down once and for fucking all. So just be prepared and continue to be vigilant, because what the mainstream media is going to do is what they did back in twenty sixteen, which has pulled a lot of hot shit, the same thing they did in twenty twenty, the same thing that they did during the twenty twenty two midterms. Republicans are not going anywhere. They are multiplying

and getting worse. But more people I personally believe are waking up and becoming conscious right of their power and their purpose as citizens of this country to defend it against enemies foreign and domestic. Because let me tell you that there is no greater threat right now to America's democracy. It's not Putin, it's not China, it's not North Korea. It's the Republican Party. So let's all remember that.
