Good morning, peeps, and welcome to woo Kate app daily with me your girl, Danielle Moody recording from the home Bunker. Folks, we have made it to the end of this good, good week, and happy fuck it Friday to all who celebrate. There are so many people, but my number one. If you guys caught my TikTok video, which I also posted
across my platforms because I'm just so fucking tired. I'm just so tired of giving white racist, grown ass men the benefit of the doubt and giving them the opportunity to backpedal on shit that they mean when they say it the first fucking time. Who am I talking about? Senator Tommy tubber Bill from Alabama, who found himself needing to backpedal after both Republicans and Democrats this week admonished him for his comments about white nationalists being inside of
our military. Now we know that white nationalists are pretty much every fucking where, including the US Senate. Looking at you, Tommy Tuberville, And when as by a reporter right about this very fact, he said, well, you may call them
white nationalists, I call them Americans. Then Tommy Tuberville, sixty eight year old grown ass man has to be provided with a definition of what a white nationalist is because you know, in his sixty eight years, apparently he does not know, which is why we need to be fucking teaching history in schools and not the whitewashed version of history. But here's the thing, you're telling me that it's sixty eight year old white man doesn't know what a fucking
white nationalist is. He absolutely fucking knows, you know why, because he is one. But I'm so sick and fucking tired of watching mainstream media reporters fucking tap dance and say to this man, are you sure that's what it is? You mean, it's what the fuck he said, isn't it right? So it's like, my god, unless these people are saying the N word repeatedly on a regular basis, somehow we must give them the benefit of the doubt, because at sixty eight, at seventy five, at eighty something years old,
it seems that they never mature. We're just waiting for
them to grow into the job. It's absolute bullshit, the perpetual adolescence that we allow white cis hetero men in this country to have and to hold on to and then we're gonna accept Tommy Tuberville's you know, bullshit apology, which, by the way, came in the form of when I was a football coach at Auburn, I dealt with a ton of minorities, dealt with like you mean, in the way that I deal with an unruly child, the way that I deal with taking out the trash, the way
that I deal with cleaning my bathroom. That doesn't actually sound like you think with the equity in mind, right, that doesn't actually sound like you give a fuck about people of color so far as you can manage them or deal with their presence. But once again Tommy Tuberville, he offers up the fact that, yes, now that I understand at sixty eight years old what a white nationalist is, that's not what I meant. I'm not racist, and then mainstream media gobbles it up and where good to go.
It's absolute fucking bullshit. Speaking of bullshit, next up on my fuck it Friday list is also Ran Paul another Republican senator who has said time and time again he was one of the biggest opposition against college athletes being able to make money on their names and likeness. Now this has been something that was pushed for a really long time, finally made it through, And now college athletes are able to make money off of their name and likeness.
And why is that important? Then I'll get to what ram Paul said. It's important because colleges and universities make tens of millions of dollars a year off of their athletic programs. The coaches make millions of dollars a year off of the athletic programs. And do you know who doesn't make any money but whose bodies get used for these programs? The actual athletes, you know, the actual athletes
that are largely black and brown people. But rand Paul's pushed back against that, said, well, now we're just gonna have a bunch of college athletes riding around in rolls, voices and you know and whatever other luxury cars. We're gonna have a bunch of rappers instead of athletes. I'm sorry, what, because this is the quiet part that these motherfuckers say
out loud. They do not want black and brown people to be able to First of all, I don't need to justify how I spend my fucking money right that I earn to you, white man, number two, what he is saying is that you should not be able right to benefit on the fruits of your labor. Only those white people that are in charge of said programs in said universities should be able to benefit from your labor.
That is what ram Paul is saying with that statement is that when you give black and brown people access to be able to make money off of endorsements and partnerships, off of the work that they are putting in on the field, on the track, and whatever programs that they are in, it takes away from what exactly the white people's bottom line. And so these two men, they are not anomalies within the Republican Party. They are the Republican Party.
They are the white nationalist, white supremaist party. And continuing on this train of just overt racism, let's head over now to the Moms for Liberty conference that was held that showcased a bunch of the Republican candidates for president.
But there is one thing that stood out among the fact that, mind you, the Southern Poverty Law Center has referred to Moms for Liberty as a hate group because they are and I have spoken about this before and I actually sent out a thread around it earlier this week where I said, you know what's really interesting because I was listening to a really fantastic podcast and it
was what was really good about it. I was listening it's like a two years old it's a Brene Brown's podcast that's actually no longer running called Unlocking Us, but all of the episodes are still there. And what I really enjoyed about it. She was interviewing Clint Smith, and in this interview, Clint Smith is talking about his new book and the new his book was about racism in America, Racism in America as it pertains to really understanding slavery.
And you'll have to go to my thread, which you all should be following me if you're not following me, because that is where I am most of the time. He talked about in this interview with Brene Brown. The Daughters of the Confederacy, now the Daughters of the Confederacy were a group that popped up right following the Civil War and essentially their role as the daughters and sisters
and wives of those Confederate soldiers. Their goal was to erase what it was that the Civil War was fought over, which was the ability of white slave holders in the South to be able to continue using free slave labor right to perpetuate their growth and their wealth and the growth of the economy. And what the Daughters of the Confederacy did was come in and kind of, you know,
rewrite how this actually played out. They're the reasons why there were Confederate statues that in the twenty first century were still coming down because they wanted to claim it as a part of their history that should be honored and recognized that you were taught in schools that were named by Robert E. Lee and other members of the Confederacy. And as I'm listening to this interview, I thought to myself, holy shit, the Daughters of the Confederacy did exactly what
it is that Moms for Liberty are doing now. Moms for Liberty right are the daughters, the sisters, and the wives of the Oathkeepers, the Proud Boys, and all of the other white supremacist groups that are led by men. And what is their goal. Their goal is to ban books, to rewrite curriculum, to create this white nationalized identity by
using school boards. They may wear lipsticks and bake cookies, but they are just as dangerous as the white male counterparts that are storing the capitol buildings, that are using AR fifteen's and just standing at school bus stops. Because by the way, that actually happened. And so when you think about what is old is always new again, this is not something that was created out of thin air. They've had models for how they perpetuate their white supremacy.
And so when we look at Moms for Liberty because they have the word moms, because they have the word liberty and their name. But these people at their conference, folks were cheering for Hitler because in one of their local chapters in their first newsletter, they quoted Hitler up top, and they doubled down on it when they were called out. And so when one of those moms took to the stage at the conference and said the name Hitler, they let out cheers. I shit you not. These are the
types of people that we are dealing with. Speaking of things that we are dealing with, I want to draw your attention to something that is not getting as much attention in the news as I think that it should. So just recently, and this is pretty fucking wild, but just recently, there have been multiple insurers that have said that they are leaving the state of Florida, pulling out completely. A couple of weeks ago, the same happened in the
state of California. And so I want to read this to you from Newsweek, because this is what the fuck happens when you deny reality, when install ytead of creating policies that will fight against climate change, you just pretend it doesn't exist. Because you know who's not pretending it doesn't exist, fucking businesses and insurance companies. So this is
what Newsweek is reporting. Farmers Insurance has become the latest insurance company to pull out of Florida, despite repeated efforts by Republican Governor Ron De Santis and the state legislator to shore up the volatile market. On Tuesday, Farmers informed the state that it is discontinuing new coverage of auto, home and umbrella policies, a move that will reportedly affect one hundred thousand policies. And I want to bring your attention to what was said in their statement right quote.
With catastrophe costs at historically high levels and reconstruction costs continuing to climb, we implemented a pause on writing new homeowners'
policies to more effectively manage our risk exposure. Folks, Ignorance is fucking expensive and the only people that are going to continue to be harmed by Republican politicians refusing to do anything to actually help their constituents and instead instead go along with the gas companies, go along with the coal companies, go along with everyone that is continuing to perpetuate harm on our environment so that they can increase right,
their fucking wealth. It is going to be middle class and working class people who are going to lose out. Why do I say this, Well, because homeownership is still the best way in this country to build Well. What we do know is that because of climate change, storms have gotten worse. Tornado seasons have started earlier and run longer. We are seeing fires like the one that is burning in Canada that is affecting our air quality all across
the United States. We're seeing these things happen repeatedly. Where you see headlines that say historic tornado season, historic fire season, historic hurricane season. They are already predicting that there are going to be multiple hurricanes that hit the Florida Gulf region right at a category five you're talking Katrina levels, You're talking Maria levels that have devastated entire states that run into the millions in damage. I've said this before
and I will say it again. We cannot afford to be ignorant about taking on climate change. We cannot afford it. But who is going to be harmed are those people who do not have the ability to rebuild, because guess what when they're let's say, three hundred thousand dollars home is completely demolished by the floodwaters that are caused by a hurricane. Flood insurance, by the way, they already don't
have that in Florida. They've already done away. But when your home is taken out and you don't have any insurance and what the rebuild is coming out of your fucking pocket. A majority of Americans can't pay a four hundred bill four hundred dollar bill that comes due. You think these people are going to have what just another three hundred, four hundred thousand dollars laying around in order to buy a new fucking home or to be able
to relocate. It is going to be the middle class and the working class and the poor that are gonna be the ones that are most adversely affected. And the thing that kills me is that there are things that can be done. There are decisions that could be made in order to mitigate the effects of climate change, but they are choosing not to do it. And not only are they choosing not to do it, they're choosing to
lie to people about it. The very people that are voting for the Republican Party are the people that can't fucking afford to rebuild. But they're cheering on Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis that want to cut all social safety nets. I mean, talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. So what I want folks to realize is that this is happening in California, it's happening in Florida. It won't be too soon before it comes to a
state near you. Because what we know just recently, right there were tornadoes that were said to be touching down near O'Hare Airport in Chicago, where people needed to shelter in place at the airport. This is a fucking city, folks, This ain't We're a rural area. So what happens if tornadoes, all of these tornadoes touched down. You're talking about hurricanes that are staying over land masks for hours upon hours in places that we don't normally see those types of hurricanes.
So what we know, oh, is that California and Florida are just the first of many. So who is going to be most adversely affected? When insurance companies say, you know what, you buy a home, You're on your own.
We don't have your back, So you know for that, I say, you know, fuck it to the entirety of the Republican Party that has us in this place, but also right the Joe Mansions and the cursing, fucking cinemas of the world, who, without their obstructionism, we would have been able to pass historic climate change legislation in this country. Ignorance is not blissed. It costs fucking money and it's gonna cost people's lives. And the reaction from the Democratic
Party should not be finger waving. It should be talking to the American people about their bottom line. Say we as a party, we care about your bottom line, We care about your ability to access the American dream. You can't do that with this Republican Party because they are not looking out for you. They do not care about you. And as a matter of Pact. They are voting against you.
That needs to be the response. This is going to be a first line of many that we are going to see happen, and it is going to be the ninety nine percent that bear one hundred percent of the catastrophe. That is it for me today, Dear friends on woke af as always, tell me, if you are my Patreon what you are saying fucket to in the comment section, And if you follow me on threads, which is where
