Good morning, keats and welcome to look at up daily with Meet your Girl Danielle Moody recording not So Live
from the Long Island Bunker. Folks, I hope that you actually got some time, maybe the whole twenty four hours daring your Thanksgiving holiday to not think about our impending doom, to not be woken up at a sleep with a series of alerts that came through on my phone, as I'm sure they did with yours, to alert us to the fact that not even twenty four hours after gathering with our family and our friends for the first time since right the beginning of the pandemic for an actual holiday,
that we would get the grand old news on Friday that yes, amy kron has hit the world. And what is that, Well, it's one of the scariest letters in the Greek alphabet. It is not a transformer, but it has transformed the COVID nineteen vaccine into thirty little nods. Thirty different mutations have now been discovered by scientists and epidemiologists in South Africa. And guess what gift they get
for detecting yet a new variant in the world. Oh, they get banned from the United States and multiple European countries. And what I find really troubling about all of this is that it's bullshit. It's not actually based on anybody's fucking science. It's based on politics and racism and money. So let me take a step back, folks, and let
us start from the beginning of the announcement of this news. Now, look, here's the thing is that until everyone and I don't mean everybody in your family, and I don't mean everybody in America, but I mean everyone in the world, until everyone is fully vaccinated, we are going to continue to
get different variants of COVID nineteen. Because what we've learned through our time with our friend doctor Jonathan Metzel and other doctors that have come on the show and scientists that have been studying this over the last we're headed into two years of living in a global health pandemic. Is this is that when there is a lot of virus that is still floating around in the air, what happens well that virus is then looking for different avenues
and different hosts. And what will continue to happen is that what viruses do, they mutate in order to get stronger so that they can claim more victims. That is what viruses do, they look for hosts. And so here is an example where this new variant is discovered in
South Africa by epidemiologists there. Now, instead of being hailed right for their transparency and the fact that they are continuing to do this work, and why is it discovered there because some of the world's best epidemiologists are in South Africa And why is that? Because they have dealt with other very serious viruses, some of which have never made it to the shores of the United States or
other countries. Right. And so instead of right us deciding that we're not going to ban a virus because you can't fucking ban a virus that by the time this was discovered, let's say now at this time, it has been about a week since this discovery, that guess what, that virus has up and gone around that country, multiple other countries, gotten on multiple flights, right, and is already gone.
And what many of the scientists and doctors that we're saying over the weekend as we are learning more about omikron is this is that these bands from countries are nothing more than political maneuvers. They make actually no scientific sense. And for an administration that claims to be following science.
It seems to me that the Biden administration was once again politically swayed by what it was other countries were doing instead of actually deciding that, hey, we're going to follow the CDC, We're going to follow the wh show. And what they are saying is that the measures that need to be put in place are not banning fucking nationals from other countries, right, but still accepting your US citizens, still accepting those that have permanent residency. What difference does
it make. The most important thing to be doing at this moment would be to do a couple of things. A have a quarantine protocol that is place for all travelers coming into the United States, regardless of where they're coming from. If you're coming into the United States, that you need to be quarantining, whether or not you fucking live here or not. If you are coming from another country, you need to quarantine for whatever it is. If it is a week, if it's ten days, if it's two weeks,
that's what you need to do. And fuck the economy and fuck dealing about politics and not actually paying attention to the health and the science around this, Right, Maybe instead of playing politics, we should do that. So that's
number one. Number two, having a uniform policy with all all airlines in the United States that, guess what, in order to fucking fly internationally or domestically, you need to show proof of vaccine, right, instead of once again continuing to fucking cater to the twenty five percent that are never going to get vaccinated in this country because you know they would rather follow the Rogans, the Joe Rogans
of the world than the actual scientists. Right, So instead of doing that, we're just going to decide to ban full countries. And again, I just want folks to be clear that when news of this new omicron variant hit and the United States announced that at midnight today that they were going to be banning South Africa and several other African nations, why the fuck didn't they ban Hong Kong.
Why not people from Germany? Why not motherfucker's from the Netherlands, Right, because again, it had already been announced at the same goddamn time that the variant was in these other countries. So again, if I'm a reporter, if I'm a White House correspondent, and I'm sitting and I'm waiting for my
Monday briefing you that's fucking believed that. I'm asking Jen Saki, and I'm asking whoever is going to be the spokesperson on this day from the COVID nineteen task force, how the decision to have a band for African nations but not the other nations where the variant was already discovered, How that came to pass, and how it doesn't make sense because several doctors and scientists that have been on the Sunday shows and been on all the news stations
since it was announced have said that your travel bands are nothing more than political maneuvers. What do you think about that? That's what I would wait for, But of course we won't do that because our mainstream media is just as racist as every other fucking industry, and so you can justify, oh, well, it was discovered here, which means that there must be more of it, So we're going to put in a racist, xenophobic band, That's what
we're going to do. I am just so fucking sick and tired of the bullshit, and I wish that people would just say what it is right like lying to me, stop pissing on our legs and telling us that it's fucking raining when you know exactly what it is that you're doing, and you know why you are making these maneuvers, and it has nothing to do with keeping people quote unquote safe, Because if you wanted to have real safety right around around this virus innovating on itself every couple
of fucking months, then you would put together drastic measures that need to be in place in order to keep people safe instead of worrying about these fucking twenty five percent nut jobs right who would rather beat up school board members and punch out their child's pediattrition for saying that they should wear a mask. They're the reasons why
we are never getting rid of COVID nineteen. You know, I was sitting around the table on Thanksgiving, and you know, thankfully I will say this that my family is not crazy, So I did not need to figure out, you know, all the ways to tiptoe around not talking about politics and not bringing up COVID and all of these things. Now, my family were all Democrats, right and of sound mind,
and so I'm grateful for that. That was one of the things that I was very grateful for over Thanksgiving the holiday, But the reality is as I was saying to my mom. And I went on MSNBC over the weekend as well, and Aim and Mohadeen, the host of the show, asked, you know what people did in order to divert conversations around politics or not have those uncomfortable conversations with your answer uncles who may think differently than you. And I was having this debate with my mother, and
I want to know what all of you think. I said. One of the reasons that I believe that we elected a Donald Trump, And by we, I don't mean me and you because we were to staying for that, I
mean the rest of America. The reason why Donald Trump was elected president and the reason why people were so shocked that their neighbors, that their friends, their pta neighbors, their kids school teacher, The reason why people were so shocked that they would fall for the ropadope of Donald Trump and literally degrade themselves into a party that is nothing more than a cult of white supremacists is because
we don't have those conversations. We actually have no idea how to have conversations with people whose opinions may differ from us. Now, I know that that you may think that That is a rich coming from me because I utilized my rage for my work. But trust and believe that when I am in small groups or gatherings with people, that I'm one of those people that will dig, that will ask you your why, right, Like what made you
think this way? What made you vote this way? What it is about the course of your day to day life that made you believe or that makes you believe that a Donald Trump or Trumpism is going to be better for you, your family, in your community than anything else. You See, we don't know how to engage in conversation, nor do we teach people how to engage in conversation so that we can come to a level of collaboration, right if that is in fact your goal right to
be able to work with people that think differently. And I'm not talking again about rampid racists, because I don't want to work with those fucking people. But I'm talking about the people who were either middle of the fense right, or they started out at actually believing in economic anxiety and then that just turned into them having somebody to blame for their lat in life. I'm not saying that I am trying to sit down and cajole racist. But I do believe that there was a point in time.
I think we've fought passed that, But there was a point in time when if we were having conversations about political ideologies, policies and themes that we want to see in our own lives, and we start to ask people there, why why is it important to you that trans kids are not able to use the bathroom that they identify with? Why is it important to you that gay people should
not be allowed to be married? Why is it important to you that everyone that kills an unarmed black person should be able to get off and have the reasonable doubt right? Like again, asking these questions, because then you understand or you force people to articulate their positions right, and then we can figure out, well, what is they're there?
What's the thread that we can pull that would have their entire ideology that isn't made on anything collapse right, and be able to show them something that is better, right and offer that up. But because we've always been taught not to talk about politics and not to talk about religion, right, that we're just mom on these most important topics, these topics that actually dictate how we live our day to day life, which makes absolutely no sense
to me. But I can understand from a politicians point of view or the clergy that so long as we keep people right isolated within their tribes, never to venture out, then you can continue to have control over them. But you see, if we learn how to coordinate, how to collaborate, how to be in conversation, and we no longer see each other as the enemy, right, then these other people that are above us don't have the power to rule
us underneath their thumbs. This is what this all comes back to, folks, money and power, right, And I don't understand why we make everything so damn complicated. Why is it that we are going to continue to see new variants pop up all over the world. We'll let me
tell you. Because the wealthiest fucking nations, right, who had their pledge to help the lower income nations, right, the lower the lower wealth earning nations, decided not to Right, They're gonna get theirs right, much in the same way that the fucking wealthy in this country and in all countries around the world don't pay their fair share, don't you know, don't don't have their income tax, but have this tax and blah blah blah, and literally have all
of these loopholes that were built for them right to continue to build their wealth right while everyone else arounds them suffers. It's the same way that these wealthy nations think, oh, well, we've got the vaccines for our people, So what difference does it make if we don't send over the vaccinations to lower wealth countries. Well, because it's a fucking virus. And until all of us are safe, none of us
are safe. So until we have nations like Haiti, like South Africa, like Greece, like these other countries Austria, right, let the wait until we have these places right, have the amount of vaccines that they need, have the help with their rollouts, right, and so we know that we are doing all of our fair share. Right. You again, because there are people that I mean folks. Let me tell you something, small island Martinique right over the weekend,
massive protests, shootings at journalists and shootings at cops. Why because of the COVID nineteen protocols that are being put in place, that are being forced on them, because they are still colonized by the French. Right, And so I'm saying that you're never going to be able to force people, while in some countries you actually can, but in democratic or at least democratic presenting countries, you're never going to
be able to force people to take the vaccine. But if their government doesn't even have enough vaccine to pro by, that means that then they are the ones that are playing any meany miny mo and saying, well, we'll get you folks vaccinated, but not you folks over here, because guess what, they don't have enough. Meanwhile, in America, we have more than enough vaccines to get everyone in America vaccinated more than once, right on top of all of
the booster shots that we're giving out right. And so my whole thing is that we are paused in this country at roughly fifty nine to sixty percent of the whole entire population of adults being vaccinated. Right. So if that be the case, and you know that you have a certain expiration date to be able to utilize these vaccines, then why aren't they being sent to the places that
need them the most? And it is because of capitalism and because of racism, all of the reasons that if you look at where the fault lines are in this country and where most of the fault lines are around the world. That's what it comes down to, those two very things. Now we can right pretend that it's all a bunch of other issues and all a bunch of other things. Oh it's economic anxiety. Oh it's family choice.
Oh it's this that there thing. No it's not. It's capitalism and racism, right, the two things that make this world go round or will make an implode, you know, pick a side. And then I saw something else over the weekend that literally made my skin crawl, which was
this number. And again I'm not one hundred percent sure if this number is correct, but I'm going to throw it out there, and I'm going to say that it would cost this is what was being tweeted out when it was retweeted by a couple of news outlets, twenty five billion dollars to vaccinate the world. And again, I don't know if that is actually the right number, if it's so low, but let's say that it was a
hundred billion, right, Let's just throw that out there. Let's say that it's a hundred billion dollars to vaccinate the world.
Jeff Bezos is worth one hundred and fifty billion, right, and do you know what we did for the last couple of months, would celebrate him and Richard Branson and others, right with their billion dollars dick measuring competition that they're doing into outer space, celebrating their vast wealth that they can just shit away tens hundreds of millions of dollars so that they can take a little fifteen minute trip
to outer space. Right meanwhile, we have a virus that is ravaging the planet, and people want to say, well, if we just had enough money, then we would be able to get people vaccinated. No, there is enough money. There's just not enough will, there's not enough interest to actually get those things done. But then we want to
turn around and we want to celebrate greed. We want to give it wall to wall coverage from multiple days in a row, and then we want to blame the lower income countries that don't have the resources, and then we want to ban them. It's just like when you look at the picture that is continually painted, it's so disgusting and it's so hard not to look at it.
You know. I tell folks like no rest, like get your rest recharge, and I tried desperately to do that and for the most part, I was successful until I got the breaking news alerts coming across my phone and I looked at my mother and we said, God damn, we had one day, one day and we still couldn't not talk about COVID because we're having our Thanksgiving in the shadow of what Thanksgiving looked like the year prior, you know, when it was just many of us with
just our pod with the windows open, like, you know, probably washing our turkey with fucking bleach to make sure that there was no coronavirus on it, because that was where we were in terms of our understanding. Look how much we have learned? Well, you know, I would say seventy five percent of us. Look how much we have learned? Right while the twenty five percent continue to listen to you know, Tucker Carlson, who by the way, is vaccinated
and boosted. It just pisces me off. You know. At the end of the day, I just get to a place of such a deep aggravation because I realize it's never going anywhere. We're going to be wearing masks. That is our future. I was looking at my local stations here on Long Island, and they have segments that they run every day called the New Normal and it is your latest coronavirus up day, which again, folks, we are going to be changing calendar year the calendar year in
just a few short weeks. We are right now the last four weeks to go of twenty twenty one, and I can't help but think, and I'm sure all of you are doing this too, is thinking about the last year one. Where the fuck did twenty twenty one go? Right? And then also as we're heading into the new year, I'm like, oh my god, we are we are, folks, two years, two years into this with no end in sight.
And my fear, as is everyone else's fear, is that we will continue to have this virus and at some point we're going to get a mutation that is going to get around our current vaccines and then what right right now, I just want folks to realize everything that transpires in Europe, for the last two years, we have been a month behind. They are on lockdown once again in Austria. As the TAO was tanking on Friday at news of the latest mutation, the latest strand peloton prices,
we're going through the roof right. Their stock was up about six seven percent. Why is that because people are anticipating that all of this return to work in January, which for a lot of places right there are still twenty five percent twenty to twenty five percent of businesses never went back, and there were more that are like, okay, well we're going back in January of twenty twenty two. And now you see Peloton prices up. The rest of
the DAO is crashed because we have no idea. There's now a new strand, right, and there's always going to be a new strand because you are always going to have this segment that until we have uniform rules across this country right, vaccine protocols on all public transportation, restaurants on indoors, this, that, and the other thing you're seeing.
Austria is shut down. The UK has just issued now that you need to wear masks indoors outdoors, it doesn't matter where you are, and it is uniform all across the UK. Folks are instituting new policies because what they are seeing is fucking grim. What they know is that these could potentially be that strand that is working around the vaccines, but we won't know for a couple of weeks and in that time you were going to watch Omicron take over Delta as it has already done and
set in parts of South Africa. And then what we're back to square one and again we can, much like the Democrats, continue to cater to the middle of these people that they think are going to vote for them once again. Once again, we continue to cater to the
lowest common denominator. Because if you were to tell a majority of this country, right, not the fucking loud minority, not the loud crackpots of Trumpism, but if you were to say you can no longer fly, take a train, rent a car, right, if you are not vaccinated, you can no longer right fly in and out of the country without quarantining on either side, then you are going to seriously mitigate the issues that we're having, not putting
together arbitrary, racist and xenophobic fucking travel bands, but following science and understanding, how do we mitigate this by making it almost impossible for people to live their lives without getting vaccinated. You know, I want to tell you the difference between what it's like an hour and a half where I live in Brooklyn at versus out East Summong Island where my family is. Out east Oumong Island, particularly Suffolk County. So Long Island has two counties, Nassau and Suffolk,
and Suffolk County has always traditionally been more Republican. It's more rural the further out east that you get. And yes you have those poets of the places that people know about the Hamptons and this that weird thing where the wealthy are, but those are their summer homes. Nonetheless, it is mostly republican out here, and through redistricting it
will be republican for us some time to come. But when you go into the stores here, right, and again just an hour and a half away from the city, they have in Suffolk County, no mask mandates, indoors, no vaccination mandates, indoors that they need to show. Right, the people, the store workers, whether it's the grocery store, clothing store,
they're wearing masks. And I share is fucking wearing a mask, right, But ninety percent of the people in stores when I was going grocery shopping for a Thanksgiving no mask whatsoever. Now an hour and a half into the city, New York City, densely populated seven and a half eight million people. Right, you cannot eat indoors, workout indoors, shop indoors without showing proof of vaccination. Also, it is more likely than not that all of the stores also, on top of that,
have mask mandates. You can't get on the subway. Now again, when I've been taken the subway over the last couple of months, you maybe have one or two people in the entire car that are not wearing a mask. Okay, go with God, is what I say to those people. But a majority of folks, what are they doing masking? Because it is the rule. So my whole thing is like, why do we have different rules an hour and a half apart? Right? Again, you want to keep every rate low,
then have uniformity, have some fucking stability. This is what this new administration had told us that they were all about, We're going to follow science, except they're not following science, except they are continuing to follow politics and be afraid of the twenty five percent instead of doing what's right for the seventy five percent. How does that make sense?
But that is where we are. So what I believe is for you all follow the news, not the news that is in the United States, but the news everywhere else and understand that the United States is about a month behind where Europe is. So the UK wants to announce new COVID protocols. Austria's on lockdown. Germany is looking around trying to avoid a recession because if they shut down then all hell is going to break loose in
the EU. But you want to battle the economy against the Kilo virus again and see what happens, right, Because if you're dead, you can't work. If you're dead, you can't pay taxes. Right. Shifting gear as folks to the other stories. At the end of last week, we had the verdict in the McMichael's trial for the killing of Ahmad Aubrey, and the McMichaels were found guilty on all charges and as well as the third person that murdered
Ahmad Aubrey. And I don't want people to be confused and think that somehow, because the McMichaels in a very obvious, very clear cut case of lynching and racism, we're convicted, that that somehow means that our criminal justice system is working. It isn't. And the reason why it isn't working is because we all collectively had to hold our breath to see if the same bullshit that unfolded with the Written
House case was going to happen with the McMichaels. Right, the belief is that, oh, so long as people follow the law, then everything will be fine. So long as the jury came back and they say Written House isn't guilty, right, so he can be a murderer of two people and then get a congressional internship after the fact. That that
is justice, right, the jury has spoken. But if you paid attention to that case, which I told you I was not vigorously paying attention to because I care more about my mental health, was that the judge told from the jump when he did not allow for the victims to be referred to as such. The judge told us
from the beginning. When then he decided to throw MSNBC out of the courtroom, when then he would admonish right the prosecution and not the defense and basically give the defense a roadmap right to overturning the verdict if it
had come out guilty. We knew exactly where Judge Schroeder was in this case, right, But you want to tell us that this is justice, that an underage teenager can buy an AAR fifteen or get one bought for him, drive across state lines to say that he's protecting property, murder two people, fatally injure another one and get off. And then you want to tell me that because then, in another racist, fucking case, right, that three men decide that they have the ability to stop a black man
in his own community shoot him dead. Two district attorneys refused to prosecute them, And if it had been left up to the fucking Georgia police, those men would have been sitting at home. No guilty verdict would have happened. The only reason why those men were found guilty, the only reason why those men were put on trial, was
for public outrage. If you remember, we did not learn collectively about the killing of Ahmad Aubrey until months after it happened, Months after those men who had blood all over their clothing were sent home. Right, nothing to see here, folks. So if it wasn't for the marching, if it wasn't for the phone calls, if it wasn't for the constant attention on mainstream news, then guess what the McMichaels would
have been let off Scott free. And now I want folks to think about how many Mick Mike goals there are around this country in your community, a living on your block, how many written houses have now been newly activated because they know that all they have to do is say, well, I'm protecting property right over people and be able to get off. That's who this country is.
Privilege looks like white people having the ability to stop a black person in their tracks and then essentially say show me your papers, show me where you're going, show me that you have proof to be here, and thinking that that is justifiable. That was their fucking defense to try and utilize the law that was just recently taken off the books because it was racist. Do you know how many community across this nation still have sunset laws
on the books. Do you know what those are? The ones that would provide white mobs the cover to lynch, murder, rape, brutalize black people that had the audacity to be in out out of doors in their community after the sunset. Oh, you could be there as a domestic worker, but lord knows that if you were caught out on the street trying to get home from point A to point B, you could be murdered by a white mob and they
would be justified in doing so. That was what the McMichaels used as their defense for killing Amad Aubrey, a twenty five year old that went out for a jog and never came home. And what the written houses of the world they're trying to do as well, is to ensure that even our allies, because it was white people that he murdered, that even our allies should be terrified to show up and to declare that black lives matter
because they too can be taken down. And I want folks to remember that while black people were being lynched and murdered right at alarming rates, names that we will never know, mass graves that probably still are yet to be discovered. But we have cemeteries, honorary cemeteries filled with
Confederate fucking soldiers in this country. But we put those that wanted to abolish slavery, those that were fighting for their freedom, We burned their communities into the ground and put them into mass graves alongside those people, those white allies that were also fighting for liberation. Kyle Rittenhouses was just a throwback to that error. I'm just so sick and tired of the lies of our criminal justices and just follow the law. Oh why don't these people just
follow the law? The laws were not built for us. What law did a mod Aubrey break? Hmm? What law did Brianna Taylor break? What law did John Crawford break? What law did to me or Rice break? What law did tray Von Martin break? And that's just the ones that are on the top of my mind right now. There are tens of thousands, if not millions, of others.
So no, I did not celebrate the verdict of the McMichaels, because if we had a justice system that was actually just, then it was a foregone conclusion that they would have been found guilty, not a bunch of finger crossing on a hope and a prayer that the law would come out on our side, because the law we were told was supposed to be applied equally across the board. But we know that that is not the case. Everyone always loves to play on social media, well what if Kyle
Rittenhouse is black? You don't have to what if because he would have been shot dead the moment that he was seen within a R fifteen over his fucking shoulder. What if the insurrectionists were But you don't have to wonder, because all you would have seen in Washington, DC were chalk lines and blood splattered all over the pavement. Just in the same way, and let me bring it back us, in the same way that this country will decide that
we're going to punish and ban black and brown countries. Right, but ignore the fact that the virus is already spread around, the new variant is already spread around. But no, it's those nations that we're going to ban. You want to tell me, right, You want to tell all of us who pay attention that the problem that we're having right now is wokeness. The problem is that people are too conscious, or is the problem that the lies that have been told since the formation of this nation are now beginning
to unravel. That the thread has been pulled, not just nared, but actually pulled, and the whole fucking guilt is falling apart. And we're just seeing, right, many people for the first time, Wait a minute, this shit ain't new, but they keep trying to dish it out to us like it is. It is, folks. And as we're coming to the end of this year, a year that has taught so much but also taken so much. And that's how I feel that these years continue to go and just will be right.
That I don't know how to tell you that things may not get better, that they may actually get worse, but that if you are not taking care of yourself right, your health, your well being. You know one of the things that we were going around my family's table and we're staying you know what we have deep gratitude for? Or you we're playing this game that my mother loves. Which of these conversation starters like what gave you your biggest laugh this year? Like what brought you your most joy?
Like if you could do something over again, what would it be? And I love these things because I love reflections. I love reflections on the lessons as well as on the joy. And you know one of the things that I say, and it's again, it's not about selfishness. It is about self care. That when everything around you seems to be going wrong, it is not only revolutionary, but it is necessary to ground yourself and what is going right? To ground yourself and find and ask yourself, what is
my center? What can I hold on to as these storms around me? Build up speed right, and continue to linger that. If you are following every single Arbory case, if you are following every single written house, then what is it that you were doing to recharge? What is it that you were doing to remind yourself that all of humanity isn't ship? Because if you marinate and ship, there is no way for it not to seep into you.
And again, this is why I say to all of you, take breaks so that you do not have a breakdown, right, But that I mean that on a daily basis. Not just to store up your anxiety and depression and frustration right and trauma for a day and a half over
the weekend. No, I'm saying to find the ways, the healthy ways, every single day that allows you to have a collective deep breath, that allows your shoulders to relax, right, that reminds you that all is not lost, because think about it, this world has been through so much, so many wars, so many lives lost, so many diseases, so much cruelty, And still art is created, Still songs are created, Still babies are created, and love is created. And the sun rises and sets and the moon still comes out,
The leaves still fall and regain right. So we have to find a way each and every day to reset ourselves right, to maybe dip our toes in, but then pull our entire foot out to understand enough ask those
questions and then wait for the answer. You know. For me, I tell you that it has been my daily walks or workouts that just allow me to take some time to be grateful for my body and its ability to move and still gain strength, you know, for my moments in nature to look how the sun is hitting the trees or the grass, and to be able to take in full, deep breaths and be grateful for that. For the opportunity to spend time with my family, to spend time taking care of plants, and you know, catching up
with friends and family. Find joy in each and every day. It's all we have because if you look, I tell you the last thing that I'll say is that my mother and I one day we had this joke over the holiday where we had decided that we were going to turn on the news for roughly about fifteen to
twenty minutes thirty minutes max. Because we were having such a good day, but we wanted to see what was happening with the latest five variant, and in fifteen minutes, my mother was hysterical because she had said, oh, we should just take a sip of wine for every bad news story. And I'm like, are you trying to get wasted? And she just started laughing because she's just like, if we don't laugh, we will just cry. And frankly, Danielle,
I don't feel like crying.
