A Welcome Change

First of all, I'm interested to know, so you'll have to you know, posted on social on threads or on the Brokedown Twitter app. How many of you actually tuned in for the Elon Musk Donald Trump interview, Because I, for one, participated in the blackout. I was not interested at all in being on the app during that time. I was also suffering from an incredible migraine, so couldn't

be on anything at that time. But even if I hadn't been, the last place that I want to be is listening to two egomaniacs who people have decided because of their wealth or perceived wealth in the case of Donald Trump, that somehow that that makes them geniuses. That makes them worthy of attention and adoration. And I just want to remind folks that Elon Musk much like Donald Trump, because these are the things that these two inflated, you know,

white supremacists a holes have in common. Is that they both come from extraordinary wealth. They both got their start because their daddies afforded them the ability to do so. That Elon Musk, what he is good at is seeing other people do really good work, decide then to use his resources to buy said companies over and then take over and pretty much run them into the ground again. Another trait that he has in common with Donald Trump. Elon Musk did not invent Tesla. Tesla was already created.

He bought the company. That's what rich people are good at, buying other people's companies and usually cutting costs right in order to bring the shareholders and bring the CEO their newly anointed selves in more money while they get rid of the people that actually made that place tick in the first place. It has happened with Tesla, it has happened with Twitter, and I'm certain with other things. Anything that Elon Musk himself touches, like the cybertruck implodes and

I mean that literally. So you know, when the announcement came out that this quote unquote interview was going to happen, you knew that it was going to be bullshit. But what you couldn't have expected, or maybe we could have at this point, is that it was going to be filled with glitches and be a spectacular technological failure, as was Ron DeSantis's announcement that he was going to be

running for president. Remember that, Yeah, Elon must said, Hey, come over to spaces and do your big announcement, and then it was like, uh uh, can anybody hear me? And it was the same thing that happened. Donald Trump's interview was I think roughly forty minutes late. And because Elon Musk can't be honest much in the same way as Donald Trump, he said that there was some type of cyber attack. There wasn't. A cyber attack would have

taken down all of Twitter. It didn't. The reason why Elon Musk deterred the beginning of the interviews because ain't nobody was there right and he needed to have a quote unquote impressive number. Then I'm certain that he had the ability to inflate. There were one point one million people that tuned in for this space's interview, half of which I assume were there to watch a train wreck live.

And Donald Trump, even knowing right that all of us can actually see the amount of people that are on spaces when they are there, said that there were sixty million people there. What are you talking about? But much in the way that NPR showed us most recently after Donald Trump's you know, mari A Lago presser, if you could call it that, the press was there but a

press conference, it was not. It was more so a stream of consciousness bullshit that the press went running for and fell for once again because they've learned nothing over the last nine years. But of course they haven't wanted to learn anything. I digress. NPR, in their recent coverage said that in that hour event at mari A Lago, Donald Trump lied one hundred and sixty seven times. One hundred and sixty seven times. Friends, that is two and a half live per minute. If that is not compulsion,

I don't know what is. If that is not DSM five worthy, I don't know what is. I am not a medical doctor or a psychologist or a psychiatrist, but something is fucking wrong. With that man, and somebody who does not have the ability to form a sentence without expressly using a lie should not be president of the United States. I mean, there are so many reasons why Donald Trump shouldn't be president of the United States, but

being a compulsive liar pretty much up there. He also was talking about Kamala Harris and her recent Time cover and said that it looked like Milania. Oh, attractive, and look like Milania. Milania is an Eastern European white woman. Kamala Harris is a woman of Indian and Jamaican descent. Sir,

how how do these two things look alike? Also, I've come to the conclusion that Donald Trump actually does not know what any of his wives look like, because if you recall back during the deposition for the Egen Carroll case, the first one, when shown a picture of Egen Carroll during the time that he had attacked her, he thought that it was Marla, one of his many ex wives, and was then rightly told that no, this is not Marla,

it's Egen Carroll, And he said, oh, looks like Marla. Right, So now he looks at the Time magazine cover a sketch of Kamala Harris, that looks exactly like Oh yes, Kamala Harris and says that it looks like Milania, sir no, and maybe you should spend a little more time looking at your wives. But I'm sure that they would not like that. Nonetheless, it was a spectacular failure and it was basically, as I've said, a fluff fest that happened where the two of them could just you know, pat

each other on the or stroke each other. I have no idea and just say how amazing each of them are. It was ridiculous, it was stupid, and it was two hours of wasted time that you all will never get back. So I really hope that you all did what I did and chose not to watch it. I really do. Though. I have to tell you my new favorite Twitter account is, in fact, Kamala Harris HQ. It is really getting things going.

And if you are not following that Twitter account, I really really implore you too, because it's just so good. And what's happening is that every time that Donald Trump does something, they're just able and really quick with it to come out and drop a statement or just do what they did with this entire diatribe that they were on and just dropped the audio. They just dropped audio of Donald Trump praising Elon Musk for firing workers who were striking to get better pay and working conditions. And

what did they do? They just pulled a picture of Donald Trump and Elon Musk and just play the audio. Do you think that the man that praises another man for firing workers for asking for better pay and better working conditions is going to be fighting for your workers protections and rights if he's president of the United States, I don't fucking think so. So again, they don't really have to do much. And they posted another clip where

they're like, they said this. The United Auto Workers have filed federal label charges against both Trump and Musk after their interview, saying Musk and Trump threatened and intimidated workers who engaged in protected activities like strikes. They also Kamala HQ put out a infographic that says, here is Trump's

Project twenty twenty five plan for workers. Let's just go through some of the bullet points that they put up, because we want to spare you from having to read the nine hundred page manifesto on how to destroy America, which is Project twenty twenty five Donald Trump's Project twenty twenty five. But here are some of the bullet points that Kamala HQ puts up on Twitter. One, allow employers to stop paying workers for overtime work, so you get to work extra, but you don't get any benefit of that.

Cut social Security and Medicare, reinstate student loans of millions of Americans. Raise taxes on the middle class through terrorists while cutting taxes for billionaires. Raise pscription drug costs by repealing Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, institute a new tax on health insurance, repeal protections for Americans with pre existing health conditions, go after birth control, and ban abortion nationwide. All of

these things will affect workers. Make it more expensive to buy a home by increasing mortgage insurance premiums, and eliminate the US Department of Education, and end more affordable student loan repayment plans. Those are just some of the highlights, and this was their overall statement that they released. Kamala HQ a statement on Donald Trump's interview with Elon Musk

and let me read it to you. Donald Trump's extremism and dangerous Project twenty twenty five agenda is a feature, not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen tonight during whatever that was on x dot com. Trump's entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself, self obsessed, rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a live stream in the year twenty

twenty four. For what feels like my entire media professional life, I have been begging Democrats to get into the messaging game, to actually punch back, to instead be on offense right, instead of being on defense. And it is as if this campaign has been listening forever, because every action that they have been taking has been punching back with humor, with joy, with wit, with none of the things that

Republicans actually have at their disposal. From forever, we have been told how savvy Donald Trump is on social media, how good he is, and since the announcement of Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee for the Democratic Party, this man has had the worst three weeks that he has had in nine goddamn years. Now, you all know that the media is still going and running to Donald Trump. They are still lapdogs of fascism where I can't turn

it away. But at the same time you were witnessing in real time the Harris Walt's team be able to do what no one in the Democratic Party has been able to do before, which is punch back, and do so strategically, and do so smartly, and make them the joke that they are right. It is welcomed, a welcomed fucking change from where we have found ourselves prior to

this massive, massive change. So, folks, if you are not already following Kamala HQ, which right now has one point two million followers, I implore you get on the bandwagon because it is a wonderful place to be. One of the other things that Donald Trump has been doing, you know, with his continued lying spree, is to say that Kamala Harris's crowds that we have seen absolutely historic numbers and just explode over the last couple of weeks, are quote

unquote aied. He went on a truth social fucking meltdown where he said that these images are all ai generative. Well, let me tell you something, people, thousands, tens of thousands of people are on the ground. There is social media going around everywhere, particularly of the hangar in Detroit, which was amazing. The videos don't lie, and they're not aied

because AI. Still it's not that sophisticated, as seen by some of the pictures that Donald Trump's team has put up, where he's just like surrounded by a bunch of black women that all look the same but not in the same dress, and then their hands are all over the places if they are octopuses or OCTOPI, I don't know how you say it, but nonetheless it's not AI. Donald Trump just doesn't have the range and hasn't had the

range for a really long time. And now he is the oldest person that is in the race right now, he sounded old and tired. He hasn't been on the campaign trail because he doesn't have the stamina and the endurance. And I continue to wonder where the fuck is the media that was berating Joe Biden for his age, for his agility, and not one thing has been said about Donald Trump since Joe Biden has removed himself from the race.

And oh, by the way, we just saw Joe Biden riding a bicycle in Rehove Beach and relaxing on the beach. Things that you will never see Donald Trump do. I'm certain Donald Trump can't ride a bicycle and you won't see him doing so, just like you never see these Republicans with their fucking kids like enjoying their time, as we've seen video and video time and time again of both Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Waltz with children

and enjoying themselves. One of the most beautiful things that has come out of this campaign to me is this renewed sense of joy and this renewed sense of energy and being inspired. I've had people and I appreciate it so commenting on social media saying that they are genuinely happy that they are seeing me moving from a place of joy and Folks, it's not because I wanted to be joyless. It's because the conditions that we were in,

you know, a month ago, were spelling doom. And what I know to be true now more so than ever, is that doom and gloom and existential crises don't sell right. People tune out. There's only so much angst, there's only so much depression that people can take before they just ultimately tune the fuck out, and conjuring joy is so

much harder than conjuring fear. And so I say that to say that, that is how you know for certain that what we are seeing is authentic, because if it was something that was manufactured, it would not be catching right flight in the way that it has over the last three weeks. You cannot create lightning in a bottle, and that is what we are witnessing right now. And look,

you know this to be true. I have been one of the biggest critics of Kamala Harris and the Biden administration because I'm like, you were not utilizing, had not been utilizing this woman to the fullness of her potential.

It was like they wanted to be awarded and applauded for their historic nomination of a black, Asian, AAPI woman to the ticket, but then they wanted us to readily then forget that she was in fact a woman of color that was vice president of the United States, and so they hit her right or gave her, you know, appointments that did not align with her actual strengths. And now you were getting to see this woman in the

fullness of her power. And it is extraordinary, right, and even so much so that fucking Nancy Pelosi, who wanted to have an open primary, who wanted basically to send our democracy into a fucking tailspin by having an open convention, has had to say now publicly that pretty much Kamala

Harris out fucking smarted her and out strategized her. Because as soon as Biden left the race after pressure right from people like Nancy Pelosi, Schumer and others, and quickly endorsed Kamala Harris, that woman spent the next ten hours calling everyone and anyone and getting them on her side. She whipped the fucking votes in her favor, and Nancy Pelosi and others that wanted this quote unquote open convention, which would have absolutely been the dagger in the heart

of our democracy, had egg on their face. And so when you see Nancy Pelosi with the video that is going around, and you see Kamala Harris, and there are so many black women that are saying, oh, we know this face and we know this posture. It is when you show graciousness to people that do not deserve your grace, when you show kindness to people that do not deserve your kindness. And in all honesty, Nancy Pelosi one of those fucking people because she didn't want Kamala Harris. They

didn't want Kamala Harris. And you know what, Joe Biden said, Fuck all y'all, because you're pushing me out, and so I'm pushing for my choice, and that's exactly what happens. So I just, you know, I remain in awe of what the Harris Walls campaign has been doing, a actually excited about convention next week. I will not be there live, but I will absolutely be getting reports from folks that

are on the ground. And why am I not going to be live because, frankly, folks, even though I did not want Biden to pull out of the race, and only because I thought it was going to be a detriment to Democrats, I wasn't excited about going to convention.

So I was like, I'm not spending the money to go to Chicago because I've seen all these people give speeches, I've seen them all live before, and I really didn't want to be in the mix of it, to be honest, And so when the change happened, I'd already missed my opportunity. So I'm excited to hear from folks on the ground. I'm excited to watch it live and I will most likely be doing that with the nerd Avengers and you know, coming to you on the New Abnormal with my thoughts
