Here's our conversation about the album — an emotional, boundary-pushing companion piece to a new documentary film based around Tetyana’s interviews with Ukrainian war refugees.
It’s heavy subject matter, but focusing on the impact of war on individual civilians… and then translating their anxiety, fear, aspirations, etc. into a motherfucker of a great jazz record… you just gotta hear it.
