When emergency medicine physician Lisa Maurer, MD, recently experienced an increase in her clinical responsibilities due to growth in her practice, she thought she had a plan for managing the added workload. But, it soon became clear that she was “drowning in work and losing contact with [her] ‘real’ life.”
