We discussed our experiences with body image, self esteem, & fat-phobia, grieving the loss of a close loved one at a young age, how poverty traumatizes the minds of kids & adults, and some healthy practices Ashlyn incorporates into her financial life. I am inspired by Ashlyn's determination to make quality education equitable and accessible for all, especially her commitment to empowering kids and restoring their agency to choose their own professional path.
This conversation was so healing, just like every conversation I have with Ashlyn is. You used to tell me that you knew when someone had an 'anointed soul'.
