Today is day 159 , rooted Through Doubt . We'll be in John , chapter 6 , verse 68 from the New Living Translation . Hey , there , it's Sunday and I'm so glad you're here for Weekends with Lauren . Today I want to talk about something most of us are afraid to admit out loud Doubt , not doubt in the sense of walking away from God .

I'm talking about those quieter moments , the ones where you feel unsure , where your prayers don't get answered like you expected , where you say Lord , I know you're good , but I don't feel it right now . There's this powerful moment in John 6 . Jesus had just taught something difficult and it says many disciples walked away .

He turned to the 12 and asked are you going to leave too ? And Peter says Lord , to whom would we go ? You have the words of eternal life . That line undoes me every time . It's not the confidence of someone who understands everything , it's the faith of someone who's chosen to stay , even when it's hard . Being rooted doesn't mean you never wrestle .

It means you wrestle with God , not away from Him . When doubt creeps in , don't panic . Let it drive you back to truth . Let it deepen your questions , but even more deepen your roots , because the strongest trees aren't the ones that avoid storms . They're the ones that hold firm in spite of them . Let's pray , jesus .

I don't always understand , but I trust you Help me stay rooted when answers don't come quickly . Let my doubt turn into deeper faith . You alone have the words of life and I'm not walking away , amen . Now one last thing . If you're still holding on , even with tears in your eyes , that's called faith . I'll see you next weekend .
