Episode description

Mark Butcher, Jo Harman, Phil Walker and Yas Rana look back at the last week in English cricket, one that saw Haseeb Hameed return to form as he scored twin hundreds – his first and second for Notts – against Worcestershire. There's a look back at the third round of the County Championship as well as Ed Smith's tenure as England national selector which came to an end last week. They also discuss the IPL and whether they think it should, or will, continue without postponement. The final 20 minutes of the show are devoted to England's series defeat at the hands of New Zealand at home in 1999, a result that consigned them to the bottom of the Test rankings. The series saw Butcher captain England for the first and ultimately only time, one Test before he was dropped from the side.
