Being pressured to have children because “that’s what women do” and what about your girlfriends who says you’re single because Men find your confidence intimidating. Toxic femininity is promoted on every social media platform we consume. Let’s talk about how it affects our mental health as well as our physical health.
“I want a lady in the streets, and a freak in the bed” is a common phrase that most Men use to describe their lady. what is being described is a balanced female, someone you can bring home to meet your parents, and someone that can keep it mysterious in the bedroom. In the words of Ludicrous “we want a lady in the streets, but a freak in the bed”
June is Men’s mental health Month. We are in a mental health crisis; yet Black men are less likely than than their white peers to seek out therapy. Research shows that black men who experience feelings of anxiety or depression are about half as likely to seek counseling as their white peers. Let’s have an open discussion and talk about how we can close the gap!
