It is said that 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual assault in their lifetime. It's not a fun subject, but it affects so many people. Being a survivor of sexual assault can alter the way we experience birth and birth can very often trigger trauma. Today we interview Chelsea, a mom of 3 and sexual assault survivor. We hope to help other survivors to have the best birth possible for them. We also want to try and bring some education to other providers about how they can be supportive to survivors...
We are back at it today talking about postpartum. It is hard and messy and moms need a lot of support. In our me first world many people focus on their rights surrounding your baby before thinking about what mom needs the most. Setting boundaries can help you get the support you need while removing some of the drama you don't. Cheers!!

Transitions are hard!
