Mr. Wright was born in St Catherine, Jamaica to presenter DJ Flight's grandmother, Muriel Martin, who left of the the UK in the late 1950s to work as an NHS nurse.
He was brought up by his grandmother for nine years before joining Muriel aged 14, in 1967. He has worked various jobs and has four wonderful children.
