Have you ever told someone they did a great job, but in the back of your mind, there were some things you could have helped them improve?
Most of us want to feel good and we want other people to feel good too. So they will often only give you positive feedback and leave off the things that could make you better. It makes everyone feel good, but it’s not making you better.
That’s why it’s important when you’re trying to improve, to ask for honest feedback with what you did well and what you can improve upon.
