Max Amini's European Tour Experience

Hello, hello! Another episode of Wild Truth. This one I'm recording from far away. I'm currently in Berlin, Germany. I finished my show two hours ago and uh first and foremost I have to tell you it is cold and when I say cold I cannot emphasize how ridiculously freezing it is. You can squeeze a cow's nipple, ice cream will come out. This is abnormal.

Mm i it's below zero. Um I believe at some point it was minus six degrees. And for somebody who lives in Los Angeles or someone who's just a human, this is unbearable. Um I got to the theater tonight. Show was incredible. Tour started from Brussels. I played Brussels and I played then I came to Germany. I played Hamburg and I played Dusseldorf last night. And I gotta say something. Which is really wonderful. Stand up comedy is growing so much in Europe.

uh Germany, they're really truly becoming a fan of stand up comedy. They appreciate the art form. Through the last twelve years of me touring this area I'm I I see a massive change and um the crowds get it, they're with it. It's just really amazing. And and tonight, particularly Berlin, they're they're a lot more, uh I would say, international. The the crowd is very with it as far as um uh pop culture, et cetera, and and they really, really um on the same wavelength. It was it was a joy.

New Comedy Specials and 2024 Vision

Now, um, to give you guys a bit of a scope of what's coming, et cetera, uh, for twenty twenty four, I think this is a wonderful time to share some, you know, new things that I've been doing. I am uh finishing this tour by the end of this month. It's the month of January. I'm pretty much on tour the whole time. I'm playing um, you know, twenty six or twenty seven shows. Uh, you know, and I and I return back to Los Angeles on the twenty second of January and then I play Pasadena.

four or five nights in a row. And that pretty much sums up this month. But moving forward this year, There's a couple of really exciting um things that um I wanna see how it pans out. I've shot two comedy specials In twenty twenty three, end of twenty twenty three, w uh two weeks apart actually, I shot one special in San Jose. um around uh Thanksgiving weekend. And then December sixteenth in Los Angeles I shot another um comedy special, two completely different shows.

Now we're in post production now. We'll see how these shows come on where they land. You know, it's it's exciting um to see the reaction, to see and to learn, to learn what resonates, uh how people take things, how the industry reacts to the shows. So I'm I'm currently working on those. My entire team is r you know just putting so much love and effort into this. So it's regardless gonna be a product of love. And uh twenty twenty four.

It's already been a great start. And I say this because it's important for me to put out this. positive energy. Um I hope everybody, no matter what obstacles, they can truly see the good. Yeah, because we can all w I mean there's tons of stuff I can start complaining about, but really I wanna focus on the positives, on on the good things that that this year could bring and it's already bringing

and the things that I need to focus on in order to attract into twenty twenty four. So I hope you guys also started with a really good energy.

Farsi Special and Podcast Updates

And uh let's see, what else? I I dropped a Farsi comedy special for my Farsi speaking fans. And um that special is already um, you know, on the internet, ready to go for anybody would like to to watch it. It's the first Farsi comedy special that's ever been made. It's it's really beautiful. I feel I feel good about that because I feel like it could really open the door for so many more comedians. Uh to release comedy specials in the future.

And um And it's been it's been a joy um doing these Farsi shows. which is something I started uh a few years back and it's only been it's only been a wonderful thing and and and I started it with this pod with this, you know, good intention um, which I wanted to just do it to to create an opportunity for kids in Iran to do stand up comedy.

And my good intention actually brought a lot of good things for myself and and sort of like created this beautiful I never pictured it this way, but now I put on these incredible massive tours in Farsi in countries that their English is not, you know, their strength. uh like Germany uh or France and um and it's it's been it's been wonderful. Anyways, uh I just wanna hop on, say a few things, share what's going on.

And uh tell you guys um that I am definitely keeping my podcast moving. I am excited about this platform. I love the idea of being able to share. um to my subscribers here things that they would not hear anywhere else. This is a very, very um uh personal and and I feel like a very cl the closest bond I have with my fans, it'll be here on iTunes. So um every week while I'm on the road I will record um a quick update, send it to you guys so you know what's going on.

And as soon as I return back to Los Angeles, uh obviously we will bring in bring on guests on the show and dive in and dive in deep and search for the wild truth. Again, happy new year guys.
