Episode description

In this loooong-anticipated episode of Wild Life Unschooling, I’m honored to welcome Leonardo Wild—an extraordinary adventurer, and alternative education enthusiast. Leonardo is the son of Mauricio and Rebecca Wild, pioneers who left Germany to create a soulful, learner-led educational community in Ecuador.

Leonardo has lived in five countries, traveled to over forty, and embraced adventure at every turn: from skippering a yacht through a Category 4 hurricane to crossing the Andes on foot alongside indigenous communities. He’s participated in gold exploration expeditions, led a four-month, 5000 km bike journey across South America with both children and adults, and written since the age of twelve, publishing eleven books (both fiction and nonfiction), over 200 magazine articles, and 42 scripts including documentaries and TV spots.

In this conversation, we dive deep into his fascinating journey of unschooling, adventure, creativity, and the transformative power of living a life led by curiosity and passion. Whether you’re an unschooling parent, an adventurous soul, or simply someone who wants to be inspired by a life less ordinary, this episode is for you :)
