to go along with your episode . So Hannah found this really cool quiz to do of infamous cults , and I have to admit that one you can't see the questions like until you answer the first one . So that's not a thing , but just looking at the first one , I'm like shit , I know . Great . So you can ask me the first one and this is good .

We're gonna go back and forth this time , so I don't feel so bad about myself , but we can both answer our own Because it has three multiple choice . I like the multiple choice . Multiple choice is a new thing we're trying here . Alright , here we go . You ready , courtney ? I am sort of ready .

What is the name of the cult that believes humans were created by aliens Called Elohim who pretended to be angels when they appeared in the past ? I'm going to go with realism , go ahead . Yay , I was right , I said Heaven's Gate . Wow .

Ahead , guyana , guyana , guyana . I think that's right . The People's Temple commune in Guyana , called Jonestown , was the site of the massacre .

How many people died in the People's Temple Jonestown massacre ? This is going to be a tricky one . All right , I got it . I got it wrong . All right , so I got it right 918 people died , the worst cult-based massacre in US history . To be fair , I guessed 1,212 , which was also close , worst , but close , yeah .

What cyanide-laced substance was given to the people's temple members to facilitate the Jonestown Massacre ? Is that right ? Obviously , grape Kool-Aid . The incident gave rise to the phrase . Drinking the kool-aid often used to mean believing in something because someone told you to , that's good .

I just seemed really culty .

But the answer was brand new nike sneakers . The nike sneakers were a strange detail of the mass suicide scene that the media focused on at the time . Well , well , it should have been birkenstocks . It should have been birkenstocks , just see . You know , the jesus sandals . Right , that's what had me . Oh my god .

I guessed 100 years , because 35 000 just seemed too far-fetched for me . But apparently 35 000 years . I didn't get that . So night channels , a 35 000 year old ascended being named ramtha seems a little far-fetched for me , but okay , I agree . The town of yerba buena in northern mexico was home to a cult in the 1960s , led by a former prostitute .

Go for her . Who did what to those who tried to leave the cult ? Okay , killed them and drained their blood in a ritual , had sex with them to convince them their life in the cult would be better , or cut out their tongues so they couldn't tell anyone about the cult . I feel like this is a trick . It really is . I got it wrong me too .

Magdalena solis possibly suffered from delusions that she was a reincarnated inkin goddess and needed to drink blood to maintain her immort may go for her .

Please tell me it was Margaret at least . No , I guessed Ozzie . No , you did not . Poor Ozzie , I was poor . You haven't fed me all day . True , this is a cult .

Crowley was once described as the weakest man in the world . The establishment of a caliphate and an apocalyptic battle in the Middle East are the goals of the terrorist group known as ISIS . Wrong , no , isis is correct . No , I said Hamas , I'm sorry .

While other Islamic terrorist groups have political goals alongside their religious aims , isis cult-like goals are primarily based on a religious prophecy my turn or your turn . It's your turn , okay . A far right cult active in the US in the 1970s

and 80s that advocated white supremacy was called the Covenant , covenant , the sword and the blank . I got it wrong , me too . What did you guess ? A flame . I guessed righteous path . It apparently was arm of the lord and the covenant . The sword and the arm of the lord fell apart after a peaceful fbi standoff ended with the leaders being arrested .

Well , sounds like such a lame name . It is Adolfo Constanzo . That's a great name . Leader of a cult in Mexico in the 1980s that was popular with drug cartels , kidnapped and murdered 15 people . For what purpose ? I got it right , me too . He used various body parts to cast dark magic spells .

Constanzo's reputation as a black magician and spellcaster was reinforced by the grisly body parts , including brains and spines , that he extracted from his victims . I like him Interesting . I like the idea of him . I like it . The Church of Satan , here we go , people found in 1966 has a notable relationship with Satan . What is it ? And here we go .

They believe each member of the cult is a child of Satan . They believe their high priest is Satan born in human form , or they don't actually believe the supernatural being called Satan exists ? I know the answer . Okay , go ahead . They don't actually believe that a supernatural being called satan exists .

The church of satan doesn't worship a literal demonic entity called satan , which I think is really important to understand , because a lot of people , I feel like , have the wrong idea that the house of god is worshiping a god and the house of satan worships . You know satan as this demonic . What'd you get ? Oh , I didn't look at the score at the bottom .

That's a great . We should look like mother God wasn't in there . Mother God , I thought , was a cult . I feel like we might need to find more cult-like questions .

The Davidians , obviously , the Waco there were a lot in there . I mean they did comprehensively cover a lot . It wasn't like some of the other trivia that I've seen , where they pick like one thing and then they ask you 16 or 17 questions about just one where you're like okay , come on , that was a good one , hannah . I mean , sometimes you got to do what you got to do , but I do think that looking up the cards and figuring out , kind of , where these people are and thinking about them , because I have to believe in my heart that something , something gets updated , that the cards being out there , and especially for the cases that aren't the top media cases there's several in

our area . I won't mention them for respect to the families , but they get tons of media coverage because they're in your face and because they have connections or whatever , and that doesn doesn't make those family members any more valued than the other family members .

Really , honestly , race comes into mind , it does , and the member that I'm holding here in my hand is an African-American male , yeah , and so I'm sure that his case has been based off of where he lived and his race pushed to the side , but I do want to start posting pictures of the cars . I love it . The more coverage the better .

That's kind of the way that I'm looking at it . So yeah , wanderers , that was an interesting trivia . I feel like Hannah and I are getting a little better at trivia . I mean , maybe not , but we try . We tied , which makes me feel a little bit .

I don't know if that should be a good benchmark for Hannah , but I feel really good about the fact that we tied , because I've been really bad the last few times we've done it .
