So join us for an amazing collaboration with our friends , and don't forget to follow them wherever you get your podcasts and social media . What's going ?
on . This is scolarius , I am john olsen , and with me , as always , is dw , the dwarfism warlord serene . What's ?
going on . Hey uh , how's your car ?
let's uh start off that way he's my car is absolutely fine , okay , for now .
For now , yep , for now .
Yeah , we'll see I haven't taken it anywhere other than work . So you know , it's a thing . You know we might as well just kind of go with everything , like we're recording . Basically , this is the second one in a row , yeah , we did one , that's . You know .
Whatever , this is number two and we're doing this on a different night at a different time , and it's fine , I'm cool with it .
But you know , I got to admit , dw , I'm kind of lonely , like you didn't come over here , you're , you're , you're over there don't you have like a house full of people , like just you've got a betrothed , you've got uh children , uh half well , it's funny you should say that yeah I do have a betrothed and she happens to be right across from me right now .
Okay , kind of a special guest co-ghost as , as you might say .
So two against one is . And once we introduce our guests , it'll be five against one . No wait . That's not right . Sorry , my math is off .
All right , man hey . All right , okay , so obviously my betrothed is here .
Yes .
Say hello beautiful .
Hello beautiful .
There we go , see that's how it works , okay . And then , dw , you're drinking . So what are you drinking , man ?
so I've got another cider boys . This one is the apple orange hard cider . This one's pretty good . Yeah , the cider . Hey , we drove by them on our road trip a while ago , so I always like to endorse them because I think it's pretty tasty .
Okay , fair enough . Is there any alcohol in that ?
Yes , it's a hard cider . I'm not that much of a sissy that I can't at least drink a little bit of alcohol . I'm not that much of a sissy that I can't at least drink a little bit of alcohol .
So but , you had to do it at home though well , yes , because the hope is that I get loopy enough to make a good podcast , which therefore means I shouldn't be driving , so I can't do this whenever I'm there .
DW has been during times that I drink . It takes me a lot to get drunk . Yours would never do it .
It wouldn't take me a lot , and it's been ages since I've been like actually like really plastered , so yeah .
What year was that ?
Ah geez . Oh wait really . Yeah , it was . It was a long time ago .
Really plastered . I think was my Ooh really plastered .
My 39th birthday , yeah Well no , there is that time you OK , yeah , you're going to argue with me anyway .
No , because I wasn't that drunk . I ate a whole pizza and passed out .
And see , you know exactly what I'm talking about , so don't deny it .
I'm just you know it was not .
I was not that drunk All right , I was not that drunk , alright . So if your betrothed is there , are we even going to disclose her name ? We always refer to her as betrothed . Are we even going to say who she is or what ? We'll leave that for her .
If she wants to .
First name only .
First name only .
Well , the last name .
It's not right anyway , but you know . So it's Melissa .
You know you could . There's a way you could change it , Just saying I know that's what I said .
It's not right anyway , but you know , whatever it's , it's cool , I don't . So what ? Go ahead .
Why is she joining us ? What motivated you to invite her ?
Well , because you know , we just happened to disclose on the last episode that we were going to have a betrothed episode for Valentine's Day , have a betrothed episode for valentine's day , and I just thought it would be really cool to give our listeners a little , you know , a little peep or a little glimpse into , uh , into the betrothed voice and everything .
She's very , um reserved tonight . She wants to unleash on me but I'm feeling that it's . I don't know , we'll see , we'll get there .
It's my first time .
Maybe she should have a hard cider , loosen her up a little .
You guys probably don't have any .
You do a hard cider , loosen her up a little . I mean , I know you guys probably don't have any . You do the hard liquor right , the hard cider's for the kids .
We drink real alcohol here .
All right , well , melissa , turn around . There's sure to be a bottle of vodka not far away .
Probably no , it's rum . We'll just check the kids' room . Oh gosh , well . Well , you know what ? Honestly , you know what you could have is you could have yourself a thc drink , but I drank them all . Um I , I I did partake in a gummy before we started today . So that's good . I was looking forward to having a nice THC beverage but I forgot that .
I drank them all up until like yesterday , so didn't have one for recording this week . So maybe next week we'll see . We'll see how it goes . But you know there is something that you could do and that is , if you wanted to , if you wanted to get something to drink , you could have yourself some dubby . That's right .
All you got to do is go to dubbyGG , order up as much W as you want . If you want to get the Calio cream , you can do that . A little taste of California . You can get the Galaxy Grenade . Taste that space . You know what I mean . You can have what I know . I know . I know it's my betrothed's favorite because she loves peaches .
You can get the beach and peach If you want to . You can maybe get a sampler pack which is five different flavors . With the shaking thingamabob you can get all that . There's also like what is it ? There's cans now , which is strawberry , banana and mango . There's also hydration drinks Me and the dubs we did that .
You could also use it after today , dw , after your really hard cider there Tomorrow , when you're really , really , really needing that water , the hydration . You can do the hydration drink and all you got to do is go to WGG and then order up whatever you want , put in ScalariusPod as the promo code and boom , it's 10% off .
All of that at WGG the weirdest email address I mean mean website I've ever heard of , but it is what it is wgg , scolarius pod . But you know , here's the deal . We we have a lot of stuff going on today , so we need to really get this show on the road .
And you know , one of the cool things about being a podcast is you start to network with other podcasts , other shows , and you know you do some ad swapping and so on and so forth , and we have done that . We've done that for months now , and one of the shows that we ad swap with is wicked wanderings podcast and they are our guests tonight .
It's hannah and it's rob from wicked wanderings . How are you guys doing today ?
hey , we're good hey yeah , guys , we're doing great , we're good absolutely I just I have to add , though , honestly , from when you were talking about the drinks , beastie boys did not fight for our right to party right , unless we were drinking card liquor . So that's all I had to add . That's true .
DW the Beastie Boys is a rap . I know , I know .
I'm not that much of a square .
Who are these ? What now ? What boys Backstreet ?
Backstreet .
Oh geez , no , I had beastie boys cds , so I I that I got from uh , from the columbia record company so you know , it was only a penny , it was quite the deal yeah , I never paid for mine .
So , um , columbia records is . I mean , that thing is no longer around because everybody got a whole catalog of CDs that they did not pay for , absolutely .
Yeah , that's the reason . It all started with Napster .
Oh yeah , yeah , Napster was a thing . Yeah , wow , Look at us going back to the 90s .
I'm liking this , this is this is cool .
Yeah , a little bit . The 90s is actually the last . I mean that . That might have been the last time I bought a shirt , to be fair , so I mean you know , I think it's great .
You still fit into your shirts from the 90s . I know I can't , so bravo .
Well , I mean to be fair . I haven't grown since like the eighth grade , so I mean . I'm legitimately the same height . I actually lost a couple inches since then , but honestly , you know , whatever it's because I'm old and Just old . Thank you , I have discs this year .
I like her . She needs to show herself on camera more .
Oh well , need a little bit more spackle for that . Suggestion noted .
Well , okay so no , you don't need spackle , but anyway , we're using the old trusty laptop here here and only has the one camera , which is me , and you know honestly , nobody's going to see this anyway .
At least I hope not for the .
You know this doesn't see the light of day , but people can listen to it all they want . That's , that's all .
You do have a tick tock right .
Yes , but I you know it's bad enough . I put myself on TikTok .
I'm not putting anybody else .
You know DW just stays the hell away from it as much as possible .
Yeah , yeah . Well , since I don't know who the Beastie Boys are , I can't figure out the new social media that they've come out with these days . I got to get my cassette out of the car before I can do that .
Are you still kicking it with MySpace ?
No , no , I don't think I ever did MySpace . No , I don't think I ever did MySpace . No , I well and I . The thing is , I was in college when Facebook started up and was like this big new thing , and so I was into Facebook and that that's it . That's my capacity . So I do Facebook and nothing else .
We thought it was the coolest shit ever .
Yeah , when I was in high school had my space and then , uh , I graduated high school in 04 , and that's when facebook came out . And so when I went into college , um , I got my first facebook account , because you could only get a facebook account with , oh yep with a college email .
Email yep yeah yeah , I remember that . See , like it was back when it first started . It was like oh , because we're all going to go our separate ways and if you're on Facebook , this way we can connect and stay up to date with each other and what's going on .
And that is .
Right right .
And that is not what it is used for today .
I remember all the jungle juice we drank out of the bathtub at that party . Right , please don't tell me I'm the only one , guys .
A jungle juice party in college , oh yeah .
Did you do ?
that in college GW .
Are you sure that's not prohibition you're talking about ? That doesn't sound right . No , I drank out of plastic cups from the sports stadium . Prohibition you're talking about that doesn't sound right . No , I drank out of plastic cups from the sports stadium . I didn't need the bathtub .
Come on , come on .
So so .
Good show , everyone . See you next week . Well , dw started talking about his partying and I'm like , okay , this is Sesame Street , so we gotta we gotta get going nothing what are you implying ?
that I partied with Elmo and that was my party .
Yeah , I'd go , mr Rogers , but that's just me .
Son of a bitch . I know , yep . Aw , Mr Rogers Son of a bitch , thank you . Thank you , hannah .
Okay . So there is this . Okay , we're just going to address this again . I feel like I have to address this . All the time . I always have to like stick up for myself because nobody else will do it . They always think that or whatever else .
No , I ran into things when I was a kid , growing up or whatever , that irritated the hell out of me and they just kind of stuck with it . Okay , so when I was younger , there was only three channels on the tv until you got cable , right .
My parents didn't get cable until I was I don't know , I was probably 10 okay , so the in those three channels , especially during christmas time . You could you have your choice of three things okay , it's . It's the Grinch who Stole Christmas , right , it's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer . Or it's the stupid Charlie Brown shit .
Okay oh , charlie Brown okay , so then I always end up with the Charlie Brown stuff and I just , oh , I hate it , I hate , I can't stand it , I can't like . How many times , sincerely , dude , how many times can you try to kick a football ? And you fall for it yes , every time see like that kind of stuff . I don't know , it's just no , I can't do it .
And that's .
That's what you have the problem with .
No you haven't lived in minnesota long enough , you'll get used to it I don't like charlie brown because he tries to kick the football .
That's your defense .
No , it's okay . Okay , all him and all of his stupid friends . But the thing is is that you know , I mean , oh , you got me all flustered . Now See that , that's , that's what's going on .
And then , okay , so forget about Charlie Brown's dumb ass for now , and then you move on just a little bit , okay , and then it was like the pbs times , right , like , I mean , he's been on forever , but like I , I wanted to watch cartoons .
I've said this before dw , I don't know why I have to say this again , but I'm saying it again I , I like to watch cartoons .
¶ Rogers, Tim Allen, and Entertainment Standards
And mr rogers had to sit there and put his I don't know all his propaganda on before the cartoons .
Like all you , he would come home and he would take his shoes off and it would take forever , and then he would put his sweater on and a new pair of shoes .
Yeah , and all that stuff . Like okay , nowadays it'd be edited out . You just go straight to the cartoon . It'd be like mr rogers walking in the door . You'd be like hi , kids . And then it'd be like boom , scooby doo there . That's how it should have been . I know scooby doo wasn't on there .
It's not the point but how many of us like took so long to put our shoes on , to put our coat on ? Our parents were bitching at us like you gotta hurry up it's , it's like . Well , mr Rogers does it this way . He takes his time .
I mean to be fair . My parents didn't even know if I had shoes or anything on .
Well , if you were the same size , you know , back then I don't know , I was an adult .
That's how it works .
You're an adult , needed help with your shoes .
Still does Get some loafers .
Rocks would be easy to put on .
Here we go . We're just going to go through all the tropes , huh , all right , so you ?
don't like . You don't like Charlie Brown because of his sports abilities . You don't like Mr Rogers because he pushes democratic ideals on you or whatever .
What was it ? Democratic ideals what ?
propaganda is he pushing ? I'm not clear on that part .
You don't know what propaganda he's pushing . Be kind to others .
That's the propaganda you have trouble with .
Yes , because not everybody is nice . Dw , you should know this for somebody who's like oh , I hate people , you know , like that's not something that mr rogers would be teaching , is it ?
I don't like people either . That's why I started a podcast there we go what do you have against tim allen ?
nothing , nothing . That's honestly okay we're . I just did a show on YouTube . It was a YouTube live show . It was like a month ago and we were just discussing the entertainment values of the stuff that we do . Obviously , we had the paranormal stuff and everything .
Yeah .
But then there was like what's entertaining or whatever , and I was was like , oh , there's a bunch of like runners that we do throughout the show and I was like , unfortunately , like my car was part , it was a runner , unfortunately , you know , like it was just an unfortunate thing I said you got your car back .
By the way , I did yeah yep , yep , car's , cars back for now , for now but um yeah , for now . Uh , but the other thing was I was like , well , and then there's this thing with tim tim allen and the host is like what's that ?
That's like okay , honestly , it just started with like a one-off joke in the very first episode of scolarius and we just kind of brought it on the whole time and it's me basically going like well , you know something about tim allen , and then dw saying go ahead , dw oh for the record .
Tim allen , if you need an opener for your next show , please contact me , yeah so I I really have nothing against tim allen .
He's actually really good friends with a good friend of mine , oh really yeah . So yeah , I got , I got nothing on him . But I mean , if he wants to serve us a cease and desist or something like that , whatever , we would be honored .
¶ Podcast Start-Up and Equipment Discussion
I just feel like it'd be good publicity if we could put in the you know in the news like podcast is told to stop by tool man because of because of come on , guys jokes , or yeah , santa claus is one of his best things ever .
I like home improvement , but santa claus movie I watch it every year , every single year and that's actually the joke that we use , because , um , very first episode was Randy and Carlo and he took this picture and I think we showed it on Facebook or whatever , and the picture looked like Tim Allen's Santa Claus and that was like so that's where it all began ,
right there , and it was right off the first 15 minutes maybe of the very first episode and that's kind of where we went with this , that's awesome . So we got all the overview and everything of Sclerius . We got to mess with each other and everything .
But I want to know and I feel like the listeners want to know , like so wicked wandering , tell us about it , like , how did things like go ? Why did you decide to do what you do ? All of that , go ahead and then if we have any questions or anything , we'll , we'll , you know , get in there yeah , well , first question is actually for you .
So have you've never gotten a cease and desist because we have here at wicked wandering ?
yes , we did , oh gosh that's a story .
I feel that should be yeah , who probably wasn't ?
tim allen , but who was it ?
no , unfortunately not .
So I didn't know that you couldn't use the news . Their audio on our podcast and send it out to the world .
And so it was the Stuart .
Weldon case . It was a local case , and so I used Western Mass' audio from one of their stories that I grabbed from online . I also used a bunch of other ones , but we haven't got any cease and desist from them , Knock on wood .
But I got a email from one of the corporate lawyers from somewhere else in the country and said take this down or you can pay $3,000 for a license . And I said fuck that . I'll just take it down and he said please let me know so I can listen and see if you did take it down . And so I just took out that section . It was really easy .
I re-uploaded the audio . But I was hannah and jess was with us at the time . I was like , uh , girls , we , um , we got a cease and desist and like if we don't , if we don't do something about it , we're gonna get sued . And so it was pretty easy .
We took it down and and and that's that wow and see , that would suck for us because , like I said , you know , we're just one take , we just go .
So if they take it down , they're taking it down like yeah the episode no longer exists right but for you lucky enough , you know , you get another listen in there too , because you know that's just another download for you , you know absolutely so .
How do you even found that like ?
so we we post them on different local forums like , hey , take a listen to our episode , and I think it just went through the right channels and they ended up finding us not in a good way , obviously , yeah , someone someone at western mass news probably listened to it and you know what I probably put it in the source notes um , in the show notes as a source .
Yeah , we try to source everything we read or any articles we use . You know , to keep it ethical , right .
I mean , we don't want to steal people's stuff , so right right yeah , so that was the last time we ever used audio from the news .
Yeah , Wow , yeah . But to say how we started it really was you know , me and my friend Jess , we would meet for coffee and we would go to Barnes Noble and we'd talk about different true crime documentaries we were watching or different books we were reading and we're like , hey , why don't we make this a podcast , Like that'd be really fun .
And then I was like we totally do this . Rob has this great background with knowing how to do all this electronic stuff that I don't yeah , when I was in college I did , I did college radio . Uh , nichols college radio uh , no one knows what nichols is , so don't feel like you have to know . I didn't't know what Nichols was .
WNRC Nichols College Radio . Yeah , so they approached me and I said , absolutely . And I reached out to a couple of friends and I said , hey , we're thinking about doing this , what kind of equipment should I look into ? And they sent me one of our friends , eric , to .
And , uh , they sent me , um , that's one of our friends , eric , he sent me a link to uh the board and we use the ? Uh the roadcaster pro , um , so that was a big investment . Um , we started out with some cheapo mics and then , uh , we upgraded to uh the shore . Um , I forget what those are , but we actually just upgraded to the ?
Uh the cadillacs here , the shore sm7b , and this is the first time we're using them and I'll tell you what they sound amazing I love these already , so seven hundred dollars later , holy crap .
Yeah , so the patrol right now she has a sure I have a um , I don't know what the hell it is . It's just like you know , stuff we picked up because you know it was quick , we had to .
You know , I wanted to start this podcast , so kind of get things going , so I just picked up a bunch of stuff and the coolest thing I and the thing that we use is the , the zoom P4 , which is that's your board , right . Yeah , that's the board . It's badass , you know , it's a little . I could take it wherever I want .
You know what I ?
mean yeah .
So you know , we did that minnesota , minnesota , ha the minnesota minnesota yes we did the minnesota in uh , in madison , and yeah , like I said , just boom , just put it right on the table and plug everything in and then it just go yeah , that's what's good about this and , uh , you know , when we recording , I mean it looks like a studio in here but everything
packs up and we put it in one of those paper boxes and I just slide it right underneath this bookcase and then we bring it out anytime . We we want to record . Thinking about starting my own podcast it's going to be called beers , that fits and I want to go out to breweries .
I'll start locally , but I want to talk to , like , the brewmasters and the owners and , you know , just have a conversation like this .
Uh , your podcast actually inspired me , uh , with , with your style , your interview style , um , so , yeah , maybe , maybe it's going to be coming out this fall , so , but , but being able to to pack this stuff up and bring it to a brewery and just set it up and , yeah , it's the , the equipment and technology nowadays is is so compact and it's amazing I , yeah ,
it is really cool .
I obviously you know the idea for for this is to get bigger and better , like every you know , every day , every week , every show , um , you know , better equipment , eventually a a cool spot to record . Uh , right now , me and the betrothed . They're sitting in the in the dining room of casa de betrothed and uh and doing the uh , doing the thing right here .
So I mean all this stuff , I mean I understand it , you know , it's always a work in progress , you know , and uh , there are times where it gets , you know , difficult because maybe it , you know , the growth maybe doesn't match what I , you know , what I feel you know it should 100 and that's nothing against anybody or anything .
It's just you know um where , you know where I envision it compared to where it's at you know putting .
So much of your , your heart and your soul into what you're talking about and it's like why aren't more people feeling what I'm feeling ?
well , you know , I have some really good people . You know obviously that um that are along the ride here . Uh , bw obviously is one of them , right ?
oh yeah yeah . I , I'm , I'm a good person . Is that what you're saying ?
No , I'm just saying like this is good , like the , our chemistry , whether you like it or not , works perfect , you know um , I don't think we have it and that's what makes the show is the fact that we are like you know , we're like mr rod and you know , uh , iron maiden , you know , kind of just maiden two very different and yeah , yeah so okay , so no ,
but that that's what works
¶ Die Hard Chemistry and Podcast Partners
, man , it's .
It's no different than you know , playing a villain and a hero on on screen , right like obviously you , anybody who's anybody has seen Die Hard absolutely one of the best Christmas movies ever Christmas movie here we go , we're going to get into this don't have time for that .
I agree with Rob it most definitely is a Christmas movie , but but the chemistry there you wouldn't think there would be right , but there is , because you know John McClane , you know trying to survive , essentially , but you have , you know Hans Gruber , just that little , you know sticking that knife in him like every step of the way and you would sit there and
think there's no chemistry there . But there absolutely is . Dw . You are my Hans Gruber .
So why'd you have to make me the bad guy ? Couldn't we have ? Been like couldn't we have been die hard with a vengeance , and one person is Bruce Willis and the other is Samuel L Jackson well , you wear , you do wear the hat .
It's not a Kangol , but okay , I'll give you that . All right , I'll give you that . Alright , I'll give you that . That's where we're going to go .
I feel like that's kind of a similar situation where those are two people who normally would not have associated with each other , would not have worked together at all , but then they're forced to work together , whether they like it or not ?
wait no , are you saying okay ? So what you're telling me is is that you hate they're both bald , by the way . That's another uh you're telling me that you hate me but you'll learn to respect me by the end of the movie . Is that what you're telling me ?
yes , and right now we're in the car . We haven't found uh the , uh , the bomb yet .
So yeah , it's all right cool just remember , I know the shortcut through uh central park , through central park so tell , tell me this how did you two meet ?
wow , actually . Well , that that's .
This is funny , the patrol that is here , so gas this question , isn't it ?
patrols . Why don't you ?
I melissa , I forget we can say her name now , yeah go , you can tell it . Well , DW and I work together and I've been with that group almost five years now . So it was right before COVID hit and we had just started talking and he'd come on over to my cube and we'd make a little laugh . And then we didn't see each other for two years .
And , yeah , I went through a little bit of a divorce and met John and I was like I know another comedian . And when did you guys first meet ? I don't even remember .
It was actually we first met , oh it's like a love story we first , we're not , we're not a couple , we're not a couple .
Guys , guys , we're not a couple we have to say that every episode leaves the chat so um it was , it was house of comedy . No , it was not house of comedy .
I think you had my laptop , like they delivered it to you because you were working in the office and I'm still working from home and I brought him in and you guys met , wearing masks , standing around , social distancing , and that was the first time and then eventually , like as restrictions , um , lightened up a little bit .
Here in minnesota you guys went to was it the um ?
it was the House of Comedy the funniest person with a day job yeah , I think it was , wasn't it just ?
maybe just an open mic .
I don't think I recognize you because we hadn't seen each other with masks off .
I mean , that's a thing , that is totally a thing . Do you totally a ? Thing ?
you have a mouth . Actually you didn't . You didn't catch , um , who I was . We were actually in the same room , didn't notice each other , and you didn't catch it until I put my name on the sign-up sheet . Yep , and you saw dw and you're like , oh , you're him .
So , oh , like I said you know , yeah , a true , a true love story right there and then .
So then john was like I have this idea for a podcast , um , with comedians and we talk about scary places . And I was like that's a stupid idea , that's not gonna work .
And he was like I'm doing it anyway and I'm on board and and I , well , and the thing is I said like I'm , I'm not a good co-host for this , I don't know about paranormal stuff , and he's like no , that's the point I need someone skeptic .
I love it exactly . Yeah
¶ Ghost Hunting and Haunted Theaters
, yeah , it's so . You know what my my favorite episode so far was ? When you guys had the , the uh , the animal whisperer , the dog was yes , yeah just your reaction was amazing when it was , it was talking about your dog .
It was the first time like anyone had ever convinced me , because up until then it was like I saw a shadow and I'm like , did you really ? I you know I can't say that , but then when she was talking and she said stuff that I I think it was the fact that it wasn't just one lucky guess , it was like several things in a row .
That's like , how did you know these ? Because you know , other than , like , my immediate family , no one knew some of these things , and so , yeah , I was . I was , uh , uh , pleasantly surprised with that episode , which is why I was the one before we ended .
I was like we got to do this again because I've got another dog and I want you to tell me what this one is thinking absolutely
so that's kind of where I want to go into . I want to know about the ghost hunting I I'm so fascinated like , was there an evp that you got ? They were like , oh my god , that was definitely someone from the other side are you talking about me like ?
yeah like dw's never really been into it , but me personally yeah yeah , you , yeah I have , um , oh , there's a lot I had , I okay .
So a lot of my , a lot of the evidence that I ever collected , um , well , the first , uh , three or four years of me investigating went to the atlantic paranormal society , so you guys are a lot closer to it than what I am right now .
Yeah , I mean you really should come out to the east . I don't know if you have , but Massachusetts has some of the best haunted locations .
Absolutely .
In the world Honestly like it would . It would be a great location for you guys to come out .
Me and the betrothed . We'll we'll Sun Country . What the hell is that ? You don't know . It's an airline .
I've never heard of them . Yeah , very cheap flights .
I think yeah .
It's like a velo . I'm guessing yeah okay .
You're a radio flyer , but with wings , that's .
Sun Country . Keep your arms moving everybody Do .
they come to to hartford , which is the closest airport to us , that's in uh , that's in connecticut .
Are you a whalers fan ? Are you a whalers ? Fan up until 1997 okay , all right , that was gonna say , wait I shouldn't be surprised .
You guys like hockey , because you guys are minnesota well , you know , yeah , yeah how do you like ?
all right since we're speaking about hockey , because we'll continue with what you're saying . But , uh , we have season tickets to the local ahl team over here , which is a springfield thunderbirds , and their affiliate is the st louis blues .
Yeah , so we literally , we walk down , down , we get pissed drunk , we watch the game , we walk home . It's the best thing ever .
Yeah , it's like , since we live in downtown Springfield , it's literally two blocks over .
It's literally a three-minute walk .
Oh nice , that's really cool . See , I'm a Pittsburgh Penguins fan , so yeah , I'm a pittsburgh penguins fan , so yeah , yeah , we love the bruins . Okay , I was gonna say this east coast hockey thing it's not gonna work out too well , is it ?
it's okay , it's cool we can still be friends , don't worry continue um , well , so , like I said , a lot of the evidence from the first part is in possession of the Atlanta Paranormal Society .
But you know , there was times , man , we investigated this house where there was straight messed up stuff happening , like that's where the doll touched me which I'm not a big fan of dolls anyway , and it's dolly this . There's video of it .
It's like I'm pretty sure we put it up on it's either the sclerius page or there was a link that we did , uh , put it up .
But there's a doll , like a door of the explorer doll that gets closer and closer to me on this bed as we're like , as I'm sitting there , and then all of a sudden , like it like flops over and touches me and I look , look back , and I was like okay , that wasn't there before , you know .
And then um , where was that house that ?
was in Sioux city , Iowa .
That is awesome . And then awesome for you , but do you know ?
where that house is .
No , no , I just oh okay the same same house , same time , same investigation . I was sitting there with a radio in my hand and and unseen entity or whatever slapped it right out of my hand and that's actually on video too . I might repost that stuff , you should .
Yeah definitely so that kind of stuff and you know the really messed up part about this and I don't know I'm I'm saying this to literally a lot of people in a lot of different States and several countries right now , but the parents of these of these little girls used to lock the little girls in the bedroom , wow , like from a lock on the outside , because
they got so scared that . Yeah , so there was some issues that we had to partake with . Yeah , with that . But , um , yeah , so there was , there was a lot of cool . I mean that wasn't cool , but we investigated a theater in Sioux City called the Orpheum .
Everybody has an Orpheum theater , but Sioux City Orpheum the coolest part about that I mean there was a lot of activity that was happening . But my favorite band is the Doors and Robbie Krieger Love me some Jim Morrison . Minus Jim Morrison .
But Robbie Krieger , john Densmore and Ray Manzarek did a tour , I think in the early 2000s , with I can't remember who the lead singer was at that point . I think it was . I can't remember it was a lead singer of at that point , um , I think it was , I can't remember it was a lead singer of another band .
Obviously it wasn't jim orson , because he couldn't have done that if he wanted to , but anyway .
So they , everybody who performs at the orpheum , signs the wall behind the stage , and it was ray manzarek , john dense , more robbie krieger , and it said you know the doors , and right above john densmore and next to robbie krieger , I signed my name , um , because I we investigated the whatever , so my name is in with the doors behind there .
That's awesome .
I always thought that was pretty awesome .
I'm a huge Zach Bagan fan from Ghost Adventures .
Oh no .
Oh man , early Zach Bagan . Maybe I should make that clear , but I love hearing actual people that I kind of know . I'd rather hear your guys' stories and Zach Bgay being like oh my god , I feel something . It's like okay , no , you don't .
Every episode . Now he's possessed . He relies on feelings , not the science .
Yes , exactly 100% . I think he started off really strong and then , just after that , even my friends . I think he is possessed and he's just feeling things randomly .
So , like I was going to say , you know , I obviously do . You know , both me and DW do jokes on stage to get paid for , to get paid for . And so I recently put into my set , thanks to , in part , to my creative juicer across the table here .
That's me .
Based on watching ghost adventures and stuff like that essentially things you can say in the bedroom . Based on , you know watching ghost adventures and stuff like that essentially things you can say in the bedroom that are also in . You know ghost hunts , you know paranormal investigations , things like did you feel that ? I love that .
We're going to need to check the footage on this one uh , you know things like that , so how did this idea come about ?
did you guys yeah , exactly nope , we're gonna need some more equipment yeah , we're gonna need some more and then melissa .
Melissa said hang on a second , write this down because that's pretty funny . Put your shirt back on and write this down so you don't forget I don't think it's at the right angle well , that's a good one joke writing credit to hannah for that one , thank you .
Thank you , joke writing credit to Hannah for that one . Thank you , thank you .
Not going to lie . I'm probably going to keep it Just saying but yeah , so I you know , and we've done it .
¶ Cemetery Enthusiasts and True Crime
The cool thing is is that you know my lovely betrothed here . She's really big and like we're both Taffa files .
We love cemeteries , old cemeteries , a good cemetery .
Really cool headstones and things like that . With her . She's like oh , I love cemeteries . I'm like I like cemeteries too . They're literally the most peaceful place on the planet .
They really are .
We have some really old cemeteries out here . You know , being in massachusetts that would .
That is , would interest me instantly the , the age and the styles on the east coast I mean a lot of them um I used to work for a landscaper a couple years ago actually it was in 2020s , because I remember it was during the pandemic and I would mow one of the uh oldest cemeteries in east lung meadow and I believe the oldest uh headstone was from the 1600s
wow , it was yeah , absolutely crazy and of course those are just like name year of birth , year of death yeah
like yeah , that's and maybe how they died , right right well , and we had um , we had an episode a while ago that we were talking about , like there was a cemetery that got moved or something like that .
The thing with the older cemeteries in the older graves , it's harder to research them like I wanted to look up oh , who is this person , how did he die , where , where he lived and stuff like that . Well , back back then , in the 1800s or whatever , they didn't keep records like we do today , so you may never know who this person was .
Absolutely .
And with the , the older headstones you know from the weather , it might , you know , wear off what was behind there or they'll break in half , and then you have , you know , a group that comes together and tries to put them together in Boston , where we're talking about , uh , headstones anna , sorry , she stepped away for a second , sorry , um , we're talking about
headstones , but , um , what's the one in boston with ? Um , who's in there ?
sam adams or oh , there's several there . Uh , I think benjamin franklin's in there , yeah , so that there's um well , I know , when I went to rhode island , hp lovecraft is there , I don't know . That's a pretty cool one . I went to lizzie borden , or lizbeth , she's a great one too yeah , so we got .
We got a lot uh of good old uh cemeteries here in the northeast , you know , in new england also the first known vampire in rhode island .
She's also buried here , so I saw her .
She was great like she's wandering around or what like . What do you ?
mean . So I saw . I saw her grave . They thought she was the first vampire .
But did she have a cage over it like that stereotypical , like we'll stop this ?
no , so usually the cages they put over witches . So she did not have a cage . What ? Well , poor thing , what her issue was , she had consumption , or is nowadays tuberculosis , right , and so it was cold out while she died .
So , obviously , her body was so frozen in the barn because they couldn't bury her , and so they had this scare of people coming back to life .
They couldn't bury her , and so they had this scare of people coming back to life , and so they're like well , I guess we'll cut her open and see if her I think it was her spleen still had blood flowing , and of course it did , because it was frozen , um , and they thought that she was a vampire wow yeah , so , oh god , what is her name ?
hold on this is why I love google .
Yeah , google machine , that's , that's our , that's our friend . We do that a lot , most definitely . So what made you guys get into ? We're kind of bouncing all over , and this is the cool thing about .
Yeah oh , mercy brown .
Just so everyone knows mercy brown oh , mercy brown , yeah , yeah , okay , yeah um so you guys obviously uh , go when I was Mercy Brown , oh , mercy Brown , yeah , yeah , okay , yeah . So you guys obviously go into the . You know the true crime and stuff like that .
Yeah .
On top of you know the paranormal stuff . So , like what , what made you ? I mean , obviously you're , you're a big true crime fan . You just said that you and Jess were , like you know , talking about the documentaries and everything . But what's your favorite story that you guys have covered or want to cover ? That's the other question .
Like in the future , all right .
So that's definitely twofold . So I will say , my best story that I've covered so far would definitely be why am I blanking on his name right now ? Oh my , oh , my God , I'm a terrible person . Hold on .
John's here .
And this can't be edited out .
And this is why I edit every episode .
Because Hannah has a brain fart .
That's so good , you know ?
Know , it makes it more real , like if I wasn't stumbling over all my stuff and you know , trying to make the words you know come out correctly and everything like if I edited everything that we did it , oh , it would be choppy as hell , it's just terrible , because I'm like my favorite is wait , hold on , can't remember the name , god .
So I work for a school system for a living , so I've been on vacation the last like two and a half months , so I'm gonna blame it on that , but anyway . So danny croto , which is actually a local case and I wasn't gonna cover it , but but my family , unfortunately .
Oh , my God .
I'm so sorry .
It must be eight o'clock , it's an alarm .
Wow , okay , wait , interrupt me . So Danny Crowder was a local case and I wasn't going to cover it , but it's unfortunately tied in with my family . And it was this child he was around 11 , 12 years old was actually raped and killed by a priest .
So it ended up going into talking about the Catholic Church and the whole sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church . So it was heavy but it was well received by the community , which was amazing . We had like almost 500 listens over a-part episodes .
So oh , wow , yeah , and I I I am sorry I'm stumbling over my words Um , occasionally I'll reshare that with , uh , all the local Facebook forms and it will bring in , you know , an additional like 20 , 30 listens and stuff like that . Um , so that , yeah , that's , that was one of my , my favorite ones that we could cover and we did two episodes .
My mom came in for that one too . Um , but a case that I want to cover , that I'm hesitant to cover but I want to cover cause I feel like it's overdone is Ted Bundy . Everyone knows who .
Ted Bundy is I .
I knows who . Oh yeah , I I don't say I'm a huge fan that's not
¶ Horror Movie Discussions and Franchise Updates
it .
I don't agree with what he did .
I want to make that clear , but on , he's just sexy . No , that's not what I was gonna say .
All right , that was you , um , but I so I'm in the psychology field , so on a psychological level I find him very interesting , so he's definitely one that I want to cover , but I feel like every podcast that's in the true crime covers him , so I'm a little hesitant about bringing that one up well , it's no different than us .
Like , I know , dw isn't where they're going , like , oh my god , we have to cover the amityville house , but that's that's one . I mean , that's something we want to .
I mean , I know , personally , I want to do and I want to talk to the people that were involved in it Not that the fails , obviously , but like the people who covered it , you know , and stuff like that . But it's kind of hard . You know to what my credentials are . I have a podcast and people are like OK you know whatever .
So it's kind of hard to get that , you know . Get the right people to cover it . But the only way to do that one right is to have the right people do it . Like the people that were there Right .
And to have your own spin on things . I think that's important . You're not just talking out information that everyone knows . You need to have your own spin on it . But since you talked about the Amityville house , I'm thinking about about the conjuring house and all the drama that's been happening with that . Have you guys been keeping up with that ?
so apparently I don't know if this is what is going up , but , um , maybe like charging people too much money to to go there or not giving refunds or something with that . I'm not 100 sure what it is , but there's a lot of like people that are real high in the paranormal field .
They're like boycott it , like boycott the place , don't go there anymore so apparently she like , like , she , um , she fired a bunch of people that have been there for years yeah , she's like the ghost told me you stole from me and he's like what the fuck are you talking about ?
Yeah , so that's . The ghosts were the ones that were telling her what to do .
I mean I don't want to downplay the ghost Right , but that is interesting .
You know it's not like the movie . I don't think it's with bathsheba or whatever that . You know that was in there . I don't think that's exactly what . What that is , I I know for a fact . I you know bathsheba had nothing to do with the conjuring house um you know . But yeah , you have to sell tickets if you're hollywood , you .
But but I know that there was , according to the Warrens or whatever there was , there was some pretty sinister stuff that was happening in the area . So I mean , if this person was there it has been there day in , day out for years and years it's going to , it's going to eat at you , and if it does , then , things are going to .
You know , whatever , whatever , what's real is what you think is real . Might not be real to everybody else , but right you know it , it's kind of a a mind screw in a way .
So so I know you guys are asking the questions , but I have a question for you guys go ahead , all right so is there a recent horror movie that you've watched , that you've really liked ?
last horror movie I saw was psycho so um wow , around the time my uh beastie boys cd came in the mail , so neither of you guys saw long legs , the recent one , recent one , I haven't seen Long Legs yet .
No , my son wants to see it really bad . He's 16 . He wants to see it really bad . He was really looking into it . He wants to be a filmmaker . Oh , that's cool . Yeah , so he kind of really dives deep into the films and everything the story behind them . Yeah , yeah , I haven the films and everything the story behind them and yeah , yeah .
Um , I haven't seen it yet . No , Uh , you know , taking , taking the betrothed to a horror movie is few and far between she . She scares easy . I don't like violence .
I can handle the paranormal . I just don't like seeing people get hacked . Usually it's animals .
for me , if a dog doesn't get hurt , I'm usually good . I don't like to see animals get hurt .
Kind of the same thing with my wife . We went to see a movie a while ago and they had a preview for Speak no Evil and she had to turn away just for the preview . Like she put her hand up and she was like tell me when it's done . Like she couldn't , she couldn't even watch that .
That was like me a few years ago with the movie Nope . Oh , that preview came up . I'm like absolutely not , no , not even watching the preview . I don't want . I want nothing to do with whatever is happening right there .
I , I don't like that have you guys seen baba duke ? That was the most reason why I watched um , I haven't seen it .
No , I , I've seen parts of it and everything else . Like I'm kind of the one of the weirdos that um pops in an earbud and and uh , you know something else while you're watching no pops in the earbud and and like goes I go to sleep to that stuff . Oh wow , as the betrothed is , uh is trying to .
You know , nestle in and go away to dreamland I'm I'm either watching attempting to watch like the office , or big bang theory . Oh yeah , two good ones or I'll uh , I'll pop in a like a horror movie . I guess the the one I watched most recent had Melissa Barrera in it from Scream and it's called Bedrest .
See , I'm a huge fan of the Scream franchise because they're coming out with a new one next year and I am pumped for it .
The thing that makes me pumped for it is they're actually like Neve Campbell's actually coming back into it now .
Yes , yes .
Because you know the other girls had to . They went and pissed around and pissed people off , so they were off the movie now . So now it's gonna be well . I was gonna say part of the original people . I , I don't know . This has to be the last one .
They have to be able to wind it all down I feel like isn't it like the 30 years though next , because they started 1995 ? So I think it's like the 30 year thing ? I love Jenna Ortega , but I'm like you guys aren't the original cast . It's kind of weird . It's not the same deal .
That's just like um , I know what you did last summer we watched two and then I was like oh , there's a three and it's there's no one in it from the original .
It's a totally different storyline , so we need to watch it .
Um , I know what you did last summer dw is a movie from back back with I know boys and facebook I hear about these movies , I know what they are , I just don't see them . So you like 50 first dates , don't you ? I don't see .
I go to see like family movies with the daughter . I'll go see comedies if it's just me and the wife , and so that's why I have to watch , like my action sci-fi movies by myself , because I'm not going to be able to get anyone to go with me so he likes the john wick movies . I bet , uh , I watch by yourself I watched um , I watched the first one .
I haven't seen the other ones yet , but I was was intrigued by him . I I watched Equalizer recently . I mean I know it's been out for a while , but I was like what is this ? And so I watched that and that was cool . But yeah , like stuff like that .
Or , as an example , like I am super excited for the new Transformers movie to come out and no one else in this house is .
I didn't even know they were coming out with one .
They're doing computer animated this time , and Michael Bay is not putting his filthy mitts anywhere on it , so that's why I'm very optimistic about this one .
Okay , fair enough , I'll give you that one . I was waiting for DW to be like you know , so that's why I'm very optimistic about this one . Okay , Fair enough , I'll give you that one . I I was waiting for DW to be like you know .
The their counterpart , go bots , would be a way better cinematic masterpiece , to be fair well , I have to say , if you guys can ever get out to the , to the east coast I mean , there's so many locations I would love to go with you guys , as you know , podcast hosts , but also , as you know , like you have some , uh , you know some stuff with the .
You know paranormal and stuff .
I think it would make an amazing couple episodes for us yeah , if you guys came out here and then we went out to boston and we could uh hook up with lists from ouch was that a ghost ? And then we can do like a uh a thruple kind of podcast kind of thing . You know what I mean yeah , yeah , you know .
I was just sitting there thinking like this is this is what happens . Dw is crap . Here we go . I know for a fact , because now there's a , there's the idea of the circling here , and then this is going to be the next six months of my life Perfect .
¶ Paranormal Explorations and Greek Festivals
I just want to go out with people that have done EVPs before , because I mean Rob , rob's getting there . He cares a little bit more about the paranormal . But it's just me by myself . I'm like that's boring . I want cares a little bit more about the paranormal , but it's just me by myself .
I'm like that's boring . I want other people to hear it . Yes , thanks , thanks to your podcast , that I actually , uh , pay more attention to the paranormal stuff oh , that's awesome .
See me and the betrothed . We'll go , we'll go out all the time , we'll hit up a cemetery and we'll just straight up do evp sessions that's awesome .
So do you guys have like a spot you upload if you get anything ?
I mean I . I have some that I've yet to upload .
I mean , I would listen to that . That's awesome .
On Tik TOK . I know that there was a couple of them I put on there , but um , yeah , so I mean we'll do that stuff .
Um , that's cool .
Yeah , and you know she likes to go in . I mean , we'll do that stuff , that's cool . Yeah , and you know she likes to go in . You know I got to get her over to the , to the East Coast , anyway , Get her over to Salem or something .
Oh my God , Salem , that's a great place , it's great .
Yeah , and I always wanted to like go all the way up the East Coast anyway , maybe get to Cooperstown , go to the you know , major league baseball hall of fame and whatnot , all that good stuff , you know , whatever . But but yeah , you see , the thought that I have in my head right now , since you were bringing that up , is a scolariously wandering .
I think we could . We could like that .
See I love it or the wandering Scalarius .
Or wandering Scalarius .
Scaliriously wandering is funnier .
So , like you know , do a combined show in front of people out there if they liked it or whatever . I think it'd be fun .
Oh my God , that would be amazing Because there's so many old cemeteries in Boston that we could go talk to Benjamin Franklin and see if he comes through an EVP . I mean , that's cool , that is amazing .
Very cool .
And then you could get some great Italian food in the South End . I mean , what more could you want ?
I mean , how's the Greek food out there ? Oh , are you guys ?
Greek . No , I'll tell you what . I'll tell you what . So we're in Springfield , massachusetts .
You want to tell them our address and our social security number , yep .
And we like to vacation up it's a big red house on the end of the
block . We actually live in an old . Oh my God , Rob , Just keep telling your story .
We actually live in an old high school in Springfield , but anyways , we like to vacation up in a small little town it's called Wells , Maine , and I kind of forget where I was going with this . Oh the Greek . And there's this Greek place . Actually it's in a gun quit . It's called a gun quit house of pizza .
Yes , but I thought you were going to go the great greek festival we have here in springfield , massachusetts .
Well , yeah , I'm just gonna get to that after this festival that happens in september they make the best greek pizza and it's three hours away from us they do , but anytime we go up there , we always make sure we get a greek pizza , because there's no greek pizzas around here . But hannah wants to talk about um , the greek festival . What is it called ?
it's the greek festival once we last chance , it's called blendy . That's what it's called I was dancing and there's uzo . Do you guys like uzo ? Yeah , yeah yeah , it's great , and then so there's dancing , and then they also have like a flea market , uh , and they have tons of food which is just you know , chef's kiss amazing .
The only time we had a problem was when we went on a sunday and they let their I don't know if it's called a priest or in the church but they had had him cut the line . Oh , come here , father , you guys can eat first . We're like what the fuck ? We've been waiting in line , and then let him go first did you say that to the priest ?
because that would have been funny .
Absolutely not . I want to get to heaven . I don't know about you .
All out hollowed ground . That's my way of doing it Fucking priest cut in line what the fuck .
Oh yeah , you think your euro is more important than mine .
I hope yours is burnt .
I just love how they have that leg of lamb up on the fire and it's spinning around .
It's staying warm they just take the knife and shave it off and give it the knife and shave it off and give it to you , the betrothed actually had lamb for the first time .
Two weeks ago at a ? Um , we had a greek fest here in saint paul um at the greek orthodox church and I got a greek platter and , uh , had all the really cool stuff and a spack of the pita and a gyro and the lasagna they have yeah . So it was the Greek fries , you know , which is basically , it's just fries that you dip in tzatziki sauce .
I mean to say to the betrothed , though that's the only time I eat lamb fries that you dip in tzatziki sauce . Essentially , I mean to say to the betrothed , though that's the only time I eat lamb , just so she knows , I don't eat lamb either . It's the only time I do .
Well , it tasted fine , but mentally I could not get past the fact it was lamb . I know you go bye yeah bye-bye , bye .
There was only one light hit at me oh please be careful so we discussed on the last episode of , we were really trying to figure out what we want to do for bonus content and you know I have ideas .
You know , with DW breaking down DW and melissa breaking down treehouse of horror episodes from the simpsons , I think that'd be fun , that's awesome that we could do . Yeah , it's paranormal and comedy in a way , you know . Uh , also break down beetlejuice . I think that would be a fun one to do .
The the new one that's coming out .
Or , you know , I don't know about breaking down that exact one .
¶ Paranormal Podcast and True Crime
But you know , and then other small things you know or whatever , but you know we need feedback . You know , like if we're putting stuff out for me and his entertainment , it doesn't matter . You know , what we need is the entertainment for everyone who's actually listening . You know what I mean .
Like we can do , we can do shows for us all the time , whenever we want to . But yeah it's best that they get what they want . You know , and the best way of doing it is having you know as much paranormal as we possibly can . You know , you know , having the spooky stories , whatever else , and then still hitting them up with the comedy .
And you know , um , yeah , so I don't know , we're just going through different things and my creative juicer over here she's , you know , she's kind of um trying to help us along with with some stuff and yeah , I don't , I don't know , we're uh , we're looking to bonus it up and we just love it everybody let us know what they want so for our , our uh paid
subscribers , our bonus episodes , we've done uh .
I I've put out there like um , our outtakes and stuff like that , but we've also done uh . I don't know if you're on reddit , but they have a page called am I ?
am I asshole ?
am I the asshole ? And we've we've done a whole hour episode where we've gone through and talked about um the different categories on their different posts and stuff I mean .
I think my favorite , though , is the banter . Right , I know , sometimes people don't want banter , they want just . Okay , let's just get to the episode . But I think sometimes , if you have really good chemistry with people , and just hearing the banjo part is probably like the best fucking thing ever and that's .
That's kind of the stuff that I put out as our bonus episodes for our paid subscribers that's cool , I I mean , you know , like I , we , we all are in this to entertain everybody you know what I mean . I feel like the best way to entertain people is to give people absolutely 100% what they want and I heard that the Wicked Wanderings podcast .
People have a certain thing that they like you guys .
I wonder , what that is .
Why don't you take over for a minute and then , when you guys are done doing your thing , we can do ours ?
How's that sound ? I'm doing your thing , we can do ours . So at the end of every episode we pull out this card deck and it's from the Massachusetts state police and it's called the Massachusetts unresolved cases , homicides and missing persons .
So they're playing cards and I just shuffle it up and I'm gonna let hannah pick one oh , you're gonna meet the honors and then she'll , she'll read it and she'll tell you how uh to get in he can't read . That's why he lets me do it , yeah I got adhd and , uh , I don't I don't really read too well but anyways , here we go .
The dyslexia hits in . Okay , let's go . So I have the eight of diamonds , and this gentleman's name is richard king . On sunday , july 31st 2011 , at approximately 4.43 am , the victim was stabbed in the area of 25 Trotter Court in Boston . If you have any info about this case , please call 1-855-MA-SOLVE the end .
Holy shit . So that's like hold on , I'm kind of blown away here . So those are legit like true crime . Like when you say true crime , that's true crime , that stuff's not solved .
Oh , 100% . Yeah , so we actually got these cards from . They were actually at one of the games we were at .
Yeah , the district attorney of Hamden County , uh , was there and they were doing a dna swabs . Because , you know , uh , police , nowadays they use , like ancestry dna or you know any of the number ones to figure out , um , who killed who genetic genealogy exactly very much , thank you , so you could get arrested for something you didn't even realize .
Yeah , exactly yeah , and and so , um , they had these deck of cards and I picked it up and this was actually right after we did the danny croto . It was probably like two weeks after we did the danny croto case .
And so I was talking to the uh , the da it was an DA and I told him about the case and he's like , oh yeah , I worked on that case , I helped solve that . I was like that's awesome . And I picked up these cards and I thought , hey , maybe we can use these for the podcast .
And these are the cards they'll give to inmates . Like hey , we want to play cards , these are the ones they'll give so they can remember . Like okay , I saw the Eight of Diamonds , like we did today , and like , hey , that guy looked familiar . I wonder if I know any information about him . That's crazy , yeah , wow .
So Richard King is the Eight of Diamonds for this , and it's an unsolved homicide .
Wow , that's nuts . Hey , dw , yeah , do you have a this or that this week ?
I thought would your betrothed have lunch ? I figure she should do , I'm very excited .
This is like my best part of your whole podcast . I love this .
I left it in my other bra .
Oh my God , I need to meet you . Get out of there .
Lucky for you , I know how to work my way around that bra so .
She needs to jump on camera after we're done recording .
We need to meet her . She sounds amazing .
She is amazing . One day she will be my wife , whenever that is , we don't know , but it will um . One day . She will be my wife , whenever that is , we don't know , but it'll be one day all right , so dw you don't , you don't have a this or that I you know what I ?
I left my this or that uh upstairs . It's not in my bra , but it's in my other boxers . All right , hang on .
Hang on , talk amongst yourselves oh he's gonna do it holy crap , all right yourselves . Oh , he's going to do it Holy crap , all right . Well , you know what he's doing it .
Yeah .
Let's go DW . Yeah , here's the deal . He's away now so we can all talk all sorts of smack Talk trash .
So do you come up with these nicknames for him every episode , or do you write them down and then you're like , OK , I'm going to use this one .
No , no , no , I'm not that good . I also have . I also have help because there's a lot of D words , there's a lot of W words and not all will come together . All right , I have a lot of help with that . You know , my my betrothed is .
She's my best friend in the whole world and she I swear to god and she legitimately , um helps me with every single thing in my life and I wouldn't be here today , literally , if it wasn't for her .
You're going to make me cry . That's just so sweet God .
Rob pick up on something here , it's the truth , it's 100% the truth and I'm not trying to have people go back and listen to episodes or anything else . But if you want to know why 100% , go back to episode five . And it was my episode , it's my happy death day episode .
It was the DW was the two year anniversary of it on that one , because me and you had a show on the first year .
Yeah , it was 2021 .
Yeah , so this last November was my two year anniversary of my death day , and this coming November 26th , will be year number three that I'm circling the sun again because of the , I thought you were going to say circling the train . I circled the train before .
I have not listened to that episode , so I'm definitely going to have to listen to that one .
Number five . You said I think it's episode five .
Isn't it called John's Story ?
It's called John Olsen . Essentially , it's pretty hard to mention .
I'm glad you're here today . Thank , you , let's see .
Alright . So hey , dw , are you ready to give them the this or that ?
Hang on , hang on . I was going to look for the episode . Oh , you were right , episode 5 . All right , it's just John Olsen , you're about to get a download for it .

So this , this is a a double dip , because we're gonna get two responses to each one .
So apple pie or chocolate cake oh , I'm gonna go with apple pie I would totally go with apple pie .
I don't know if I'm dropping the gun .
Oh wow , all right .
All right , batman or superman batman superman I think it's because I didn't know . I think it's because I watched that . Um , oh god , what was that early 2000 show ? Damn it smallville the huge Smallville check . I think that's why .
Okay , all right . All right , since it's a current winter or summer Olympics ? Oh , definitely Winter 100% .
I mean you got hockey , curling , skiing , I mean . Everything winter related is amazing . There is not one summer Olympic sport that I watched this year I mean , did you watch the break ? Dancing like what the fuck was I saw the highlights on tiktok , but everyone says that when we talk about the highlights olympics , every everyone's like .

I love them all right , would you rather fly or drive ?
drive I'm gonna . I'm gonna say what everyone else says . It depends where I'm going you can't do that .
No , you have to pick .
Drive for me but if I'm going like to minnesota , I'd rather fly . Yeah , yeah , I I mean I'm going . If I'm going to new york city , right ?

Anywho , tmi , anyways , keep going , we'll get back to that later , if you want that , that that'll be episode two . Well , uh , that's , that's bonus material that's nice I like that , all right for all , for all of the things said in the bedroom and also on a investigation .
Or that too .
Alright , last one Las Vegas or New Orleans during Mardi Gras .
New Orleans definitely .
Absolutely , I'm going to have to agree .
We watch the show Cops all the time , and watching them in new orleans during mardi gras is fucking hilarious . Oh , I thought I could show my area without any problem your penis . Well , I just you know it's live .
They're not gonna edit it out , so I just thought you know , private area you've already been swearing , so yeah , but I think it's yeah , you basically , you basically said you told a priest to go fuck off right , exactly , and that was after the priest that raped and murdered the little boy .
