Including first-hand accounts of their military experiences, what they learned from service, and how serving in the military impacted their lives, from the time of their service through today. Through these interviews, I hope to share with listeners the interesting stories that our veterans have, and learn more about what makes these men and women special and worth our respect. Lastly, I hope to learn more about what service means and how my generation can continue this legacy.

Episode 6: Christ Dangles and the USS Birmingham

A very special guest on the show. Christ Dangles served in WWII in the Navy on the USS Birmingham until he was discharged for disability after an attack. He has some great stories of both during and after the war. Christ is 95 and speaks to schools in the Chicago area about the war, and he invited me to his home and was showing me some incredible pictures of himself and what he did as a sailor. Enjoy.
