While at Westdale she spoke with friends and was last seen at a jewelry store around 9 pm. Little did her friends know this would be the last time they’d see Michelle alive.

In 2006, a cold case investigator discovered unidentified blood, presumably belonging to the killer, while he was reviewing case files. A DNA profile was developed from evidence and was entered into CODIS, without any luck.

It would be another decade plus before the Martinko family would have answers.
