Carly Hibert (she/her) joins Ross Oteri on Who Is with Ross Oteri and talks about everything from her food-related lobbying and community alternatives to food banks to her work with Roots on the Roof and Farm to Table. Carly shares how the infrastructure and laws around food waste perpetuate the problems. She explains how community canaries, community fridges, and other community-oriented alternatives have better impacts than the traditional model. Carly also talks about modern-day slavery in Canadian agriculture. Finally, Carly gives home farming advice to my mom and Grandma.
