Hello, and welcome to Who Are You? We're a reasonably well done sci fi watchcast by a couple of friends who are currently watching Battlestar Galactica from 2004. I'm Laura.
I'm Traffair.
And today we have Season 1, Episode 6. Litmus. Yeah. I don't know if where you're watching Battlestar Galactica is doing this confusing thing that my Apple TV is doing, but it, in some places it calls it Season 1 Episode 6, and in some places it's Season 1 Episode 8. Right.
the miniseries? No,
Right.
that's not happening to me.
Yeah. It's really inconsistent and very strange.
No, are they like in the right order at least? Well, I mean they
They're in the right order. Yeah, yeah, it's like every time I see it, when it's misnumbered, it is just two more than what it should be.
Mm hmm
So I'm trying to make sure that I write down the correct episode number every time. But if I mess it up, blame Apple TV.
We open on an old favorite for us we open on space TSA
Oh, yes.
the Galactica.
Yeah. We gotta have a space TSA on like every ship,
Yeah, it's important to have space TSA. It's definitely not just space security theater. So,
Definitely, probably not. Like, if it was space security theater, you might have bad people slipping through,
yeah.
Yeah,
you didn't check for bombs on anyone coming into the ship, you
Well, I think they address
They do, actually, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I do not believe at this moment, when we are at Space TSA, that anyone has a bomb upon their, their person, their being.
That happens in a little bit. uh, we see a Doral come aboard here
Mm hmm. We only see them from behind at first. Yeah.
as Boomer and the Chief are hanging out at, like, a pool,
Yeah. I wondered, were they, are they in the water tanks? Because I have, I have opinions about that. This is a gross thing to be doing near everyone's water.
No sex in the water tank storage room.
Yeah. Yeah. It's weird. I, I would rather believe that Galactica has just like a gym with a swimming pool, but I don't
That's so unhygienic. Uh,
Ugh. So they're still at it. Boo. Boo. We see the Doral leave his group. Oh. I don't understand how, surely every time we have civilians aboard Galactica, which I guess there are probably reasons we need civilians aboard Galactica sometimes, right? Like, they're not just here for a tour, I would think.
probably not.
Cause I think we get a day count and this is day 17 and it's like 17 days into an emergency is not the time to be having tour groups.
Yeah, for sure.
but if you're going to have civilians aboard Galactica, you got to have a guy at the front and a guy at the back. Right?
Yeah.
Like don't, don't leave anyone unattended for any reason. At any
For
Seriously.
And like, I know it's like the premise of this episode, right, is like, oh, they've gotta tell the fleet about the Cylon human, like, I get it, like, I'm not trying to shit in that cereal, but like, you couldn't have put a picture of Doral up
Yeah. And been like this person wanted
known fugitive in the fleet. Don't let on board. That's all it takes. Someone might ask a question, and then they get no answer and just be like, If you see him, just fucking shoot him. You know, just like, believe me, he's wanted, we found out he's around somewhere. It's not that fucking hard. Leoben, when you've only got a picture of him as a body, might be a bit harder to go if this guy shows up. Um, you might have to like.
Contact your space mortuary and pretty up the face a little and make them look a little bit more alive.
Run the AI alive filter over the dead picture.
call up the space six feet under people from the other network and have them come by and do the thing and, you know but, but the very least, Doral, you've got like official head shots of
For sure. He was like real governmental personnel. You've got stuff on him. You could put something out there. And you know, okay. I, I did forget for a second the conceit that Adama, Rosalyn, Billy, And a handful of our main characters are the ones who some of them know about multiple Cylons and some of them kind of know, but some of them no, no, like, but okay. Not the rest of the fleet knows. Still seems like bad military procedure to be able to let a civilian slip away from your tour
for sure.
WTF. Come on, Galactica. Grow up. That's the theme of these episodes.
Anyways, Ty notices Doral, who suicides him suicide bombs himself in the hallway
Ty and Adama clock him and Adama actually tries for like a run at him.
yeah,
And Tai is just like, tackled him, like, no, that's stupid. Like, Tai tries to get on the phone and call for help, I
Yeah, broken clock. Write twice a day. Write two episodes in a
you know. Great point, god damn. Yeah, so he esplode to Thiem.
we go to theme and we come back to Galactica's burn ward.
Oh man. We have a very crispy person and a blood curdling scream back from Thiem.
Yeah, it is
Is. And Starbuck is like in the middle of this because she was still in sickbay from her smashing up her knee when she was being dragged across the ground by her parachute. So she's just like looking around
Yeah,
chaos.
I cannot do anything to assist here. I feel like I should be doing something, but I cannot be
Yeah. Like, I literally cannot stand at this moment. I think Adama told her at the last, at the end of the last episode that the doc thought that she would. be able to save her knee, but, you know, it's touch and go, that kind of thing.
it's bad.
yeah. She is not helpful. And Adama is demanding to know the body count. So we know this is, this is pretty severe.
After this the commander notifies the master at arms about the humanoid Cylons And of all the people you would tell, like, of all the people that are, like, in on the circle, the person who's in charge of protecting the munitions on the ship probably should've fuckin known.
For sure. Especially when we had not told her. You know, that many episodes ago, her shit went missing and was used to blow something up. Like, the water.
if you didn't tell her before that, you needed to tell her after that, for
In that moment. Yeah. That was the time you needed to do it. Especially when one of those G4 detonators, I think they called it, was also found on a Raptor.
Yep.
The same episode, the end of the same episode.
Yep.
I, I think she is pretty righteously angry here. Heh heh
for sure. She asks for independent tribunal, independent uh, Meaning, free of his bullshit, she wants to be able to do the investigation. And Adama uh, cedes, and then talks to uh, the president about it as well.
Mm hmm.
they talk about informing the populace. Tai put notes that keeping quiet about it humanoid Cylon's will.
Sigh. Yeah. I, I appreciate that this is a tough call for everybody. Because We see what devolves on Galactica here, with this independent tribunal and all of that stuff, but imagine what is happening on civilian ships, too, as, you know, we are all stuck together, hundreds, maybe thousands of us, on a ship that may or may not be big enough for us to be comfortable, and you take a disliking to somebody. And you get your conspiracy hackles up and start building the case for why they're a Cylon.
I mean, this could be chaos.
Yeah. Callie and some deck crew build and set up a still. The, uh, the chief shuts it down for being unsafe, and then also offers to help them out later that night fixing it up to actually a suitable still.
Yeah, this thing is a hazard and it is unsafe and we'll fix it tonight and make it actually safe. So,
Yeah.
not very long for those stills to pop up. You're right, because this is day 17.
Yep. which I mean, like So you still have to make, like, wine to make liquor, right? Mm hmm. It's a statement. Um, You have to have some base alcohol that you
have to ferment
You have to ferment something and then you can condense it into a liquor.
did somebody get into the potato stash?
Well, that's the thing, is like Two weeks is like, depending on what they used and what yeast that they're using. If they're not using a brewing yeast, it's typically slower if they're using like a bread yeast, which is likely what's available around on the ship.
Well, do you use yeast in a still?
well, no, you use yeast before the still.
Okay. Okay.
Yeast is what makes the alcohol in the first place to ferment.
Okay. Okay.
And so, You would still have to do that. That's going to take two weeks to get a brew of sizable quantity to be able to still, because when you still something, you're taking it and you're making it like a 10th of what it was.
Uhhuh.
know, and so you need, you know, five gallons becomes a fifth of a gallon.
I 100 percent believe that there was an alcoholic somewhere on Galactica doing that math the second things started breaking bad. It's like, oh shit, I need to get down to the galley right now and steal a bunch of yeast and start that, or I will be feeling really bad here in a couple of days.
Yeah. Well, that's the thing is like to get to this point probably is like 12 days of work. And if we're on day 17, that means as soon as we're done jumping every 33 minutes, someone started brewing alcohol.
Uhhuh, There was probably somebody thinking about it and grabbing stuff during the 30 minutes, you know, at least running down to the galley. Okay, I got some potatoes this time. 30 minutes things happen. Okay, now I'm gonna go get the, you know, geese. Okay. Like Yeah. Yeah. So speaking of day 17, that's where we're going back to Caprica and we find out what date it is. And it's Helo and the rats.
Yes. A Six, Doral, and Sharon watch Hilo from a distance. He wakes up, he kind of stumbles out,
Mm hmm.
and, uh. they're just like, he doesn't quite sure, quite know what's going on. They're just watching from above and they discuss whether he'll go North for love or South for survival.
Mm hmm. Yeah.
dumb is this?
So, this is pretty dumb. Uh, Doral also says if he flees, he dies. And I'm confused, because does Doral mean if he goes south, he dies?
Like they don't need him anymore. So they're going to kill him. Or if he goes East or West, they're just not interested.
or, do you really just want him to stay put and if he goes any direction he dies? I'm confused, Doral. You need to be more specific. This is very
If you're going to scheme, scheme at an understandable level, please.
right, right, get on my page, Doral.
Meanwhile, the commander and president discussed letting the fleet in on the humanoid Cylons. Rosalind is concerned it's going to turn into a witch hunt,
Yeah. Mm
rightfully. So
I, I get it. You know, it's not just about the witch hunt in command. It's about the witch hunt in this fleet too, that, you know, we've had what, 12 days to start working on a police force and some sort of justice system. You know, people are going to start Offering up people they don't like as Cylons. Like, I'm tired of living with mother in law. She's probably a Cylon. Like, it's not gonna be good. She's afraid of collateral damage, as she should be.
The Master at Arms starts questioning the Chief's whereabouts, too.
Master Darms is asking around the flight deck. Callie and the still crew all give different stories about where they were. And where the chief was. Not a good look.
This is so painful. Just with each, like, new lie, and then she gets to him, and his lie is so inconsistent with all their lies, where he says that he was asleep in his bunk,
While playing Pyramid while inspecting the deck.
right, while being in the galley, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh. Oh, it's so uncomfortable. Rosalind holds her press conference, where she finally gives everyone the pictures of the two known Cylons. She has appointed the Tribunal.
Mm hmm.
They're gonna find the source of the explosion. She gives them that picture of Doral first. And then we cut to, like, Tyrell looking at Boomer. And I'm just like, No! No! And then she also shows the dead Lioban picture. And warns anyone who sees these men to call Galactica, or I think the Office of the President, either one.
Yeah.
So Hopefully we don't get any more Dorals sneaking around anywhere like pieces of shit. But I could still see, like you said, Leoban was a dead guy's picture, and that dead guy had gone through some pretty rough radiation stuff.
Yeah.
I could easily see, if we don't have a, an AI filter to correct for that, that we fuck up and Leoban gets on Galactica somehow.
While this is going on, the Master at Arms grabs Tyrell and Boomer for investigation. Boomer just lies a bunch and Tyrell is up next. to.
Yeah, Boomer says she's asleep, just like the Chief had said he was asleep. You just want to shake her the whole time so she doesn't know where Tyrell was. And then As Tyrell is getting questioned, the, the underlings I call them, because I don't know all their names yet, Callie I got, she's so naive, she's like, Oh, they're going after the chief. And then someone else points out that like. No, they're trying to go after Cylons. Like, if the chief is a Cylon, that's a problem.
And she's like, but he's not, I just know he's not, you know, the feelings. And uh, then there's a guy in the yellow jumpsuit who I don't know his name, but I think he's the one that's like being very practical
Is this the guy who goes down forward or the guy who doesn't?
No, not the guy who goes down for
I don't think he has a name.
Oh, okay. Well, I was immediately suspicious of him because he's being very practical about the whole thing, but then he tells them, You guys better watch your backs. Like, this, the game has completely changed. Watch your backs. And I was like, oh, Is he a Cylon? Like, I don't know. That was just very suspicious. It was probably written just to make me suspicious,
Yeah.
so there's more questions we cut back to Master at Arms. She wants to know about the hatch combing on Causeway Sea.
This is where the chief and Boomer had their illicit encounter
Uh
It was also left unlocked which allowed Doral to get access to the small arms locker.
Yeah. Where he made himself his quick bomb. So that we did find out he didn't smuggle that through space TSA. So good enough job space TSA,
Yeah.
but not good enough.
Tyrell, in here, says the most sensible thing out of anyone's mouth until Adama at the end of this episode, where he's all like case in point, the Master at Arms is the person responsible for letting stuff out of those lockers. And also the person who's grilling me about this right now? We don't feel that that's maybe a conflict of interest?
Yeah. That, that is, I, I, I understand why Adama kind of caved and gave her the freedom to do this, but it is also. A conflict of interest because all of these weapons that have been taken away and used for nefarious purposes or placed in places you would think that the master at arms would have some kind of system that is good enough to prevent this under any circumstances. Or at least throw up red flags, like if Boomer had to subvert a control to get those six G 4 detonators.
There would at least be a record of a control failure, you know, even if we don't know who did it or what happened, but there was no record, I think, if I remember back to that episode correctly, that, like, it was just, she opened up a thing and there were six missing.
Mm hmm. Seems very
So, hmm. Also suspicious. Is it stupid or is it Cylon?
Mm hmm.
Hmm.
Uh, The Master at Arms goes through all the crew's lies here as well, where they saw the Chief. He invokes his right to remain silent, rather than admit to his illegal relationship.
I guess I get it, but I also don't get it.
Yeah, I don't get it. I would have just been very up front the entire time, at this point.
I mean, same. Like, I, I would have said, like, look,
When the It's It's so easy to explain too, like, Oh yeah, I was in that hatchway having an affair with a officer uh, who I report to. That, that, that, we were ordered to stop and we didn't. Throw me in the brig for it, that's fine. Um, negligence, whatever. Uh, Those, those, all those kids who said that I wasn't in different places, that's because I caught them building a stolen offer to help them.
Yeah. Yeah. Like, the truth would set you free here. And I mean, okay, it doesn't actually set you free in that you go to the brig, but it sets you free in that you're not a Cylon.
Not to mention, as we find out at the end of the episode, the Chief Wasn't the last one out of that hatchway. So how close is he, if he tells the truth here, to Boomer being implicated as a Cylon?
Yeah. I don't know.
Mm hmm. It's like, okay, we'll bring Valeri back and we're going to question her some more about why she left this shit unlocked and why she lied about it. Then put her in the brig.
Yep. Just some bri time for both of those two. And separate Briggs. We need them, like, there needs to be like deck three B Bri and deck two. Bri, they need to not be anywhere near each other, but a little Bri time would do some, do some good
Crewman A comes in after this and owns up to everything.
This guy, they, they all look like a bunch of buffoons, these underlings with like. covering for their guy when they should realize at this point that the stakes are so way different. We don't need to be doing that anymore.
Yeah.
Like, we need to be grown ups about this whole thing. They're all, I don't know about the actors, but they all come across as very young.
Yeah.
Not a good look for any of them.
No.
But we go back to Caprica for a minute.
Mm hmm.
Helo starts to set out south. Dusk, presumably.
Mm hmm.
Six starts mocking Sharon for Helo not loving her. He stops, pulls out his gun, and heads north. And Doryl says, oh, he loves you. And then asks Sharon if she's ready for the next step, and she confirms. So this is where I want to have the conversation. What is up with these Cylons and their obsession with making humans love them? Six, as we talked, SixPT, in the previous episode, is extremely jealous of Starbuck.
And you could almost make a case for it just being something about the Sixes at first in this scene, because Six is like, mocking Sharon, like, Oh, haha, he doesn't love you, But Doral also seems to care and buys into the love language. And I'm wondering, is it just like a you know, psychological problem of like, Sometimes children of parents who neglected them in some way will, like, seek out partners who also don't treat them well because they're reenacting things, and I don't know.
Ja'far has picked up a piece of pizza, listener, and he is eating pizza. At me, because I think he doesn't want to try to say anything. He's nodding now, yes, and a thumbs up. Because Laura's getting too close to something. But boy, it's, it's odd that these Cylons really want to be loved.
It sure is. It's good
Yeah. Sharon doesn't seem to react a whole bunch to this. But Boomer certainly has some reactions in this episode. So. Let's just keep going.
Baltar brings Starbuck a cigar in the medbay.
Uh
And she's like, man, this is crazy. Um, given how close they were to your lab, you, you must have totally been the target, right? Because you're building the Cylon detector?
Uh Huh. He has not thought about this, listener. He is so far up his own butt he didn't even think about, you know, that his project was on CDEC and they blew themselves up on CDEC and maybe these Cylons in the fleet really don't want to be found. You see him shit his pants right in front of Starbuck here.
Yeah, and it doesn't help that 6BT is literally pulling strings behind a curtain.
Uh Huh. She's like, you hear the music and you see her hand in the curtain.
it's so good.
Does, does Gaius hear the music every time 6PT shows up? I hope so. Because clearly, you know, she can be like behind him where he doesn't know she's there. Like, you know. He might get, like, a feeling, but I want there to be music in his head, so it's, like, for sure, and he gets to, like, cringe internally.
She quotes the 70s Hulk show, which is fun because that aired at the same time as Battlestar Galactica, the The, The, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry. That was
Yes, yeah, he starts, he leaves, you know, unceremoniously, very abruptly. Uh, Starbucks bedside and immediately starts whining to 6PT in the hallway that they're trying to kill him so he's going to destroy his Cylon detector.
Yep,
That's when she hulks out.
yep.
throws him against the bulkhead, the hallway, and again, he looks weird as fuck in this hallway. up against The, the hall talking to something and a crewman sees him doing this. Like we see a guy, I think with a gun walking through the hallways and just like, look it gaas. Why is no one suspecting gaas of being asylum yet
Did you notice that like whenever they're walking down hallways, they're holding hands So his hand is like out like someone's holding it when he walks down hallways when
Yeah, just like curled with the, yeah. That's fucking weird.
Yep,
People should be questioning Gaius at least a little bit. And you know, he's pissed people off. So, you know, witch hunt, you know, it's gonna come around at some point, I would think. So weird.
After this, we cut over to the set of Eiffel 65's Blue music video, where Sharon gets beat up by Six and Doryl to give her convincing injuries before Helo finds her.
And Doryl punches her once. And then Six goes to town.
beats the shit out of her.
And I'm wondering, is this a manifestation of Six's jealousy? That Hilo loves Sharon? And so, I'm just gonna get a few hits in on her to make myself feel better? Like, she punches her in the face, she like, gets her down and kicks her, and I was like, huh.
I mean, is this the same Six who Gaius was sleeping around on?
I mean, I don't know. We don't really know, right? We don't know what happened to the Six that was on Caprica during the bombs.
Uh,
True.
it's not necessarily the case but it's possible. Uh, It's possible that if Cylons are individuals, that this is the same one reincarnated, or if there's a shared consciousness, that she would remember that
Yeah, she knows all those things. Or are Sixes just jealous?
maybe Sixes are just jealous. Maybe that's just part of their, their thing.
I don't know, man.
Dom and Rosalind talk about the tribunal's initial findings as the commander is summoned to the tribunal.
Yeah. Yeah, they get a brief moment here where, you know, they're like, Oh, this specialist has owned up to some gross negligence. Mm hmm. But Adama's not convinced, because he read the transcripts, and it, we saw the transcripts, so we know, like, this is suspicious. This does seem like somebody's taking the fall for somebody. And Rosalind seems very suspicious of Tyrell, as she should but it's too late for much more discussion, as Adama gets called before the tribunal himself.
Yep. Yep.
But we go back to Caprica real quick. We're not done with Helo and Sharon.
Hilo lurks around a Cylon facility of some variety that has like two Centurions.
Oh, it's a facility? I thought it was just like an empty
Well, I mean, I think any, anywhere where the Cylons are at this point is a Cylon facility.
Anywhere where two or more are gathered as a Cylon facility. yeah. We've got this battle bot that's dragging a human is it the same BattleBot that gets a drop on him?
Uh, He gets a drop on one. There's, I think there's two battle bots here.
Mm hmm. One gets a drop on him. Yeah.
But he's able to take them out. Uh, And he finds Sharon.
Hey, we didn't talk about this. In the last episode, and I meant to, but I didn't write it down. This time I wrote it down. It seems really inefficient, or really poor design, that a headshot should take out a Cylon.
Agreed.
Like, if you have the ability to create a robot, you should put redundancies in, or something? Or don't store its brain all in one place?
Yeah.
Why would you make it so easy to disable one with a shot to the brain?
I don't know, but I didn't design Cylons, so hard to say.
we rescue Sharon, and she says they should go, with an ominous look back toward Cameron. I
Yeah, the Master at Arms is starting to interrogate Indama here and make sure, to make sure, that the security failures are Indama's fault for not telling anyone that they needed to change.
mean, one of the questions she asks very directly is like, Why did you not inform Galactica's security? Which includes her. So, I get it. Like, yeah.
Mm hmm.
She asked him directly, does he believe that a Cylon blew up the water tanks?
Yeah.
And he does.
Mm hmm. Are there Cylons on board? Probably.
Yeah.
did you let Tyrell and Boomer continue?
And then she basically implicates the lack of discipline as a cause of Cylon infiltration.
Yeah. Dama is culpable because of this.
Again, I don't know that we're totally wrong there.
I don't think so, but also this is a bit too far. And Adama agrees. He shuts it down. The Master of Arms orders the guards to make Adama stay. He orders the guards to restrict her to her quarters. And just looks at him and is like, Make a choice, son! Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah, he, he speechifies that this is now a witch hunt and it's over. And the men choose to obey Adama. So I, I think they've probably observed a lot of this tribunal. I, you can't, I can't imagine you have like a constant guard rotation on this whole thing. So they've probably seen enough to make them just enough uncomfortable. with the whole thing that they'd rather listen to Adama right now. And then we see Rosalind give another conference.
So that specialist we got his name, but I didn't write it down. Socinus,
It's a sinus. Something like that, yeah.
Yeah he's been thrown under the bus, but just for negligence, not for being conspirator, yeah, or asylum. And. Tyrell goes to Adama to admit the truth about the whole relationship and everything. Tries to, you know, say that Sassinus is innocent, shouldn't really be there. but Adama points out that he doesn't really know what Sassinus was up to, does he? Because he wasn't there. He was with Boomer. And we know that Sassinus lied under oath at least once.
Because he said one thing, and then he said another thing. One of those times had to be not true.
Yeah.
And then he just, like, stabs him in the dick. And says, you know, if you kept your pants zipped, none of this would be happening right now.
Yup. Yeah. The chief is going to have to live and serve with his guilt here,
Yep.
which, I mean, I don't know that the ship operates without the chief.
Yeah, I don't know that I want those little buffoons as adorable as they are, trying to run this on their own.
Yeah.
I think we can be, I'm starting to like develop a picture in my mind of, I can't figure out who is a Cylon at this point.
Yeah.
Not enough context and material, and some of it's going to be very misleading, right?
Yeah.
But I think Adama gave me enough information. And earlier when he and Rosalind were talking about Tyrell, he said that Tyrell's been on the ship for five years and he's had plenty of time to take it down if he really wanted to. I think Tyrell is not a Cylon
Okay.
because of that. And then also like he has, having been on the ship that long, like knows all the quirks of the older machine. Right. And the Cylons would really need to know that stuff. Right. So, it would have been very easy to get from him already. So, I don't know. I'm, I'm writing for team Tyrell is not a Cylon. Um, the other ones I've been thinking about that I could get behind for sure, they're not Cylons.
Yeah. Who's not a Cylon? Let's get a list.
Ah, Adama. Not a Cylon. Because he's too prominent. You can't have multiple Adamas just running around the fleet. Like, he would have to be the only one. I guess that's possible, is that there could be a model that there's just only one of them
I mean, only one in the fleet.
Yeah.
sense.
Rosalind seems pretty safe to not be a Cylon. for the same reason.
Okay.
You would have to have just the one. And I'm, I'm putting a caveat there. You could have a model where you have just the one.
Okay.
Also, It would be really odd, but I guess it could be done for the Cylons to give one of their own breast cancer. Like,
Yeah,
it could, it would be weird, but it could be done. But it seems too weird. So that's pretty much, like, where I'm at is I don't think those three people are Cylons.
three. Okay, Okay, I'm gonna do a thing. I,
Oh, do I have
hands, no, no, no, no, no, On my hands, I have three numbers, right?
Uh Huh.
One of these hands shows how many you got right. One of these hands shows how many you got wrong. I'm not gonna tell you which is which. But I will show you the counts. Okay.
Okay.
Okay,
Hmm.
I'm holding up two fingers on one hand and one on the other because I just remembered that this is an audio format and y'all need that, sorry.
Oh boy, that sucks. Okay. Neat. Neat.
a little air of mystery, you know?
Okay, well, Anyway, after we stabbed Tyrell in the dick he goes to meet Boomer again.
Yeah,
But this time, it's over.
yeah, he ends the relationship. He refuses to put his relationship and happiness above his crew,
Mhm.
is the nice way of saying it. She does not handle this well though.
The fact that she even demanded an explanation from him is wild to me. Like, you are close enough to this whole situation that you should fucking know exactly why you're being broken up with here. And you should have, like, been grappling with it before you got to this moment in the water tanks again.
for sure.
Like, What the fuck, Boomer. Don't be so stupid. She's a stupid Cylon. She's stupid and Cylon.
Yeah.
She's pretty petulant here. When he explains the obvious to her. And starts to walk away. And that's when we have the moment. He asks about the hatchcombing. And she refuses to answer him.
Yep.
Just walks away.
That's the
Credits.
On a scale of 1 to 12 colonies. How do you feel about this one?
Well. I think I like it a little bit better than the last one because I'm not distracted by those like, how did you get the thing to seal? And how did you find the oxygen tube and not the poop
suing all over the universe? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. And it has that, you know, like 12 angry men, like the crucible vibes. Mm hmm. It's really, really intense and really strong. So I would bump this one back up to 10.
Yeah. I love this episode. This is an 11 for me.
yeah, yeah, I, I am mad at some characters because they are behaving stupidly, but it's believable human stupid. I'm very curious about our Cylons, who really want to be, they just want a hug from Mommy and Daddy, I think. I think that's what they really need. Maybe we just need Adama and Rosalyn to sit down and love their children. I don't know.
There was a lot to chew on in here, a lot to wonder about, and I would be really surprised if we just completely leave witch hunting in the past, in the show.
Well, we'll see how Gaius's work goes.
Yeah.
Clearly it wants to be stopped by the Cylons. So,
Yep. And it's so strange, 6BT really wants a Cylon detector. Or something that looks like a Cylon detector, perhaps.
Does she?
Well, I don't know. She really wants him to continue
She really wants him to have a nuke.
Yeah, that's true. She really wants Something about the project to be continuing. Is it actually the Cylon detector or is it a nuke or is there a secret third option? I don't know about yet.
Yeah. All right. Well, you ready to hear the description of next episode? I,
Yeah, I'm, I'm very curious as to the description you got, because I had the Apple TV one that was kind of spoilery, but not too
I wrote this one to be less spoilery than the one that I saw,
Okay.
which is when, when Baltar and the number six who lives in his head have a falling out, she abandons him only to surface a short while later aboard the Galactica has Shelley Godfrey, an associate of Dr. Amarak.
Hmm. Yeah, we remember Dr. Amarak. He was the doctor that was going to come on board in 33.
Yeah.
Is that the episode where it happened? Yeah, I think it was 33 because like we're jumping all over and we can't get this guy on board and then he happened to be on the Olympic carrier. But he claimed to have proof that Gaius was involved in the shutting down of Caprico's defenses.
