Universally, when we talk about Taekwondo, what comes to the conversation instantly is General Choi Hong Hi as he is called by many as the "Father of Taekwondo." Won Kuk Lee, is Choi's predecessor and teacher who essentially created taekwondo with the name Tang Soo Do Chung Do Kwan. Thus, it's safe to say that Won Kuk Lee is the "Grandfather of Taekwondo."
