Even though it sounds (and looks) like some legendary, newly revived, pre-Prohibition whiskey brand, Old Carter is actually only 6 years old, with virtually no backstory and zero ties to the history of whiskey in America. But you wouldn’t know it from the prices they charge or the cult following they’ve achieved. So, that begs the question: Is the ultra-premium, ultra-small-batch brand of sourced spirits all it purports to be? And how the hell did we even score a bottle?
