who's been watching sex Life? So I went back and looked and it was the girl keeping my dogs. Oh, I have an interesting matter. Twelve year old was concerned, but apparently it's good. And we have Hannah who works with us here at iHeart Radio, and on the breakdown it was like, Hanna tells sex life story. So I'm like, can we just get right into that. I am so embarrassed right now. Oh my gosh. Okay. So I am

like obsessed TikTok on TikTok all the time. And there is this trend going around and everyone was making videos saying, go to Netflix, watch the show sex Life, but go to episode three and fast forward to like nineteen minutes and fifty something seconds, and so my roommate and I are just like bored. One night, we're like, okay, like we've been seeing this trend, we just have to check it out. Be fast forward to episode three to this time,

and it's just like this guy's giant penis. And my friend and I look at each other and we're like, oh my god, like kind of mortified because we had no clue what it was going to be, but also a little disappointed because I thought it was going to be something like a bigger dick, got a bigger dick because it was literally giant, but just something like funnier.

And so then I'm working like two days later, Amy calls me because I'm staying at her place and using her Netflix account, and she calls me and she's like, was it you and your roommate Haley who skipped to episode three and fast forwarded to this part in the show. And I was like, oh my gosh, this is so embarrassing. Yes, that was us, and we just wanted to see what this was about. And she watches the show so she knows exactly like what we fast forwarded too, and I'm like,

I sound so creepy, So what's the TikTok thing? Is it like showing like your reaction or like, what is it exactly? So people were recording themselves fast forwarding to this part in the show and then recording their reactions, but it didn't ever tell you what it was. So I was really intrigued. I was like, what could this be? And I wish I recorded my reaction too, because I was so shocked. You didn't do it. No, I didn't do it. I just wanted to see what it was about.

Like at first time he saw dick, not the first time I seeing a dick, but the first time was of that size. It was actually insane and like then you went to your boyfriend, you go boy bye. Oh. It was so embarrassing. And Amy totally caught me too. She was like, I had a feeling it was, you know, I'm like, yeah, guilty, that would be so embarrassing. It watched one the other day and it was like this ninety year old woman watching it and her daughter was

filming her. Okay, I haven't watched it, but I saw it and her reaction was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Well, it was just her faces. I mean, she's a ninety year old woman. She's like, just her faces were unbelievable. She's like, I waited ninety years was unbelievable to see this. But I have not watched it. I kind of want to watch it because it I don't even know what it's about. To be completely honest with you, I haven't. I have not seen any of the show except for

those thirty seconds. But I literally here it's good. So maybe I should watch it from the beginning and not just skip forward. But we'll see I mean, yeah, I think I think we should definitely start watching that. But we have same Reuben coming on the show later, who's basically going to tell us everything we should be watching. So, I you know, I'm gonna be in Connecticut. I'm not gonna have a lot of time to like beIN shows. What is it sex Life on? Is it on Hulu? Netflix? Amazon? Netflix? Okay,

so then maybe I don't even have it. I don't even know if I have a Netflix, Like, I'm gonna get myself to get at you. I got one. It's already on there. You can continue watching. Like but yeah, we can't tell, but like Ramsey wouldn't be able to tell, would read it and be like, hey, my mom's watching sex life on. I remember the first time that I caught Jolie watching caught her. I saw her watching one of those like an with actual people shows, like a show yeah, but like she used to just always watch like Sophia the

Princess and Anymore. And I was like, what are you watching? It was like my mom when she caught me watching Saved by the Bell. I was like, man, I'm in fifth grade, Like I can watch Saved by the Bell. That's amazing. Yeah, but yeah. I was like I started like looking at all her shows, like what she was watching, and then like one kid that like just opens presents or something or toys or plays with toys, and I'm just like, what do they make so much money? I

was like, Julia, play with the toy. Let me film you. We're gonna make money off of you. We are going to have fun on this podcast because I just need to get out of this this. Yeah, we need some fun. They need some fun. So Riley send us pizza and I was on a I think I was packing, you were packing it. And then what happened at well, I

was on in the other room on a call. We were on a call, yeah, and the doorbell rang and I was like, you know, got up and they're like, oh, we have a pizza for Riley and I was like, yeah, we're wrong house. And then she came back like ten minutes later. Anyway, it's really not that great of a story. No, it is. No, the whole point of it was like, no, there's no pizza. I promise you being delivered to this house. I didn't really want to say that. Why it's offensive.

I like pizza, but I only eat it, like, you know, when I'm either moving, Like I love pizza when I'm moving, and I love pizza when I'm on my period. We're very grateful for the pizza. No, Riley does not Riley. Okay, So the real story is she comes to the door and she's like, hey, a pizza for and I was like, you can't have the right house. I was not eating pizza for lunch. And she was like it's for Riley

and I was like, yeah, definitely the wrong house. And then she came back and I was like, again, this cannot be pizza for Janna. There's the real story. However, I ate the pizza, so I was happy. I mean I had pizza over fourth of July. I mean it's just like five pieces too, four but like yeah no, but yeah, it's not like my afternoon. So that was just funny because you were like you are at the wrong house, like Gina's never in our life ordered pizza.

But Riley was very thoughtful because you know she but I will eat it for dinner. How's that? She She just wants us to smile and have a party today. So we're going to have a party. Thank you, Riley, You're very sweet. It was delicious, Thank you. Oh my gosh, it was the whole crew. We just want you guys have fun and a fun episode and yeah, just let loose a little bit. that on date line. So can we just talk about dating apps for a second, because yeah, I went on there for like a day and I was like, I can't do this. This is giving me so much anxiety. And I even signed up for Hinge, so I did. I did too. I did Hinge and I did Riyah and I was like, I can't do this. This is this is like I can't, I can't. It was so much anxiety. And then did you are you on Riah? I'm on Riah. I don't want to delete it ever, because it's the process I'm getting on. It is so difficult.

It feel like I'm getting into like brad school or something. So I literally I'll probably be married and maybe still have it just in case. But yeah, I'm on Hinge too, and I literally was so excited I match with this one guy because it's hard to find the guys that you're really excited about now, and like, I mean, I'm thirty eight and I was engaged before and broke it off in the whole nine yards and so like dating to me is very you just have to have, you know,

good old sense of humor about it. But I matched with this one guy on Hinos. He was the cutest. I was like, he's definitely my future husband. And within within like five days of us just messaging back and forth, he writes me He's like, I'm so sorry. I know we have a date tomorrow, but I met someone else and I was like, I can't believe I've been broken up with before the dates like like I'm just like I and I had what I did name that like, oh, I don't want to say it. Well, yeah it's Brendan,

super cute. I won't say last name, but hopefully he's listening, and I hope things are going well for you and that girl. Yeah, Brendan, you missed your shot. Man. No, but I will say, like it was like a man maybe, Like I mean, how long have I been April May? It was like it was like two months Orto and so I went on there. So I got accepted obviously, well it kinge. You don't have to be accepted. So I was like, oh, I just see that kind of

what's out there. And I was just like, oh, this is like why I didn't want to get divorced, like the dating world. I'm like, this is like one of the things. was amazing. She's the owner of the Giving Keys and I think Katherine you were there too, But I was like, guys, I have gotten zero matches, like not not well for the ego, you know, Like I'm thinking like, okay, I got this really cute photo, like and Caitlyn's like, well, what's your photo. I was like, what's me and my two kids? And she's like that's why you're not getting

any matches. And I'm like, well, I'm not taking down a photo of me and the kids, like no, I'm am who you are if someone doesn't want to like me or like like heart my thing because I'm like, I was like absolutely not. So I immediately was like screw this, I'm getting off all these and you know, I'm like I probably thought it was a fake profile.

I mean seriously, like no, not on that was the one like Rya, Like I didn't I did a fake one on Hinge, but like I was Sarah, I'm Sarah on Hinge and You're like, I know, oh I'm not anymore. I'm totally off. Yeah. No, I was like I was just like okay, obviously, like you know, because Hinge. But like with Rya, I was like okay, Rya, like we're you know, everyone is somebody Like you know, I was like, oh, there's training taintum. I was like hell wait, but I

matched with zero, Oh my god, I know. I And also like the thing is though, I mean it only kicks one, so it's sort of like Vegas. I feel like it's like you gotta like put your cards on the table and put yourself be all in otherwise you're not going to get the jackpot. Like I'd rather be sitting at the table than not at all, well, I just didn't believe it. Like if I put up like some other like sexy st probably would have gotten more

Oh my god, I love it. So but yeah, I don't know, like it's yeah, no, I'm I'm very happy to be off of those. But yes, girl, anxiety, it's

it's a struggle. It's anxiety rudding for sure. And you know what's even worse when you see your ex on there and you're like, will they match with me again? Or not. And so this is all about, you know, when we're going through those like times in our life when we don't feel like getting out of bed. I feel like that's the time for self care, but it's

always the time when you don't feel like it. And I really believe that when you look good and you you feel good, I do, And I mean, I don't know, you know how it feels when you like get your nails done, you like walk in feeling like a troll vagabond, and you be like feeling like Jennifer Lopez, like you're just like yes, like and it's just a manicure. Okay, So we got a rundown of a bunch of shows, and I have to be honest with you, I have not seen one of them. So we have it was like Ted Lasso, Handmaid's Tail, Women Kill? Or is that women kill? it's sex life? Why women Kill? I need like an elevator pitch to get me because I'm about to leave for a movie in Connecticut and I'll have like some downtime on set. So I need to know, like why I need to watch these shows because it's like, you know, when I have time, I wanted to be like investing my time. Well, okay, so what we could start? So so Ted Lasso incredibly, I love Jason Zadikis, Like I have a little crush on Him'm not gonna lie. I've

always liked him. This your water jug like it's literally bigger than you are. I love it. It's so funny. Are you are? Is that like two gallons? It's it's seventy three ounces, So I don't know. I'm really bad at math, so I'm not really sure I have any gallons. That is, but I googled what my weight is and then what I should be drinking, and that was seventy three ounces, and then doesn't have an encouraging things like way to go, you know, keep at it. No, it's

just my brain saying drink. So all right, back to your your downtime viewing. Here's the thing about this ted last one. This is why it is caught on. It has this fantastic spirit to it. Here is just an overall warmth to it. There are funny moments, it's not that ha funny, but he's the character he's playing has got this really sort of can do spirit that is very infectious, and without giving anything away the start of the show, he is hired to run that he's sort

of programmed to fail. He's deliberately hired because the people who've hired him think he will not succeed, and they sort of don't want him to succeed and it sort of goes from there, and then this is there's sort of also a good real life lesson twenty Emmy nominations, most ever for a freshman comedy. Then one of the guys, there's a character that you might come to like who plays like his best friend and he's completely silent, he hardly speaks, he never talks, and he's called Coach Beard.

And the real guy who plays Coach Beard is actually the basis for the character. An American guy who moved to Europe and while in Europe, you know, used to look baseball, football, all the stuff we like, fell in love with soccer and was like, Soccer's the better sport and here's why, and so, you know generated all and so his real life love for soccer. Then he and Jason in real life created this ted Lasso character who came to life six or seven years ago in a

series of commercials for NBC Sports. And then somebody's like, jeezz, commercials are good. He's really good. Let's try to do a series. Nobody would do it, no one would take it, even with Jason attached really hearing those stories. Five years later, this Bill Lawrence, who did Spin City, and he sent

Cougar Town. He's done a bunch of great show. He's sort of it's like, oh, this is good, nobody in the world wants it, and then Apple agrees to fund it, and you know, here's Apple with an absolutely inexhaustible supply of money. Everybody's starting these streaming services. Apple, if you look, has the far the fewest shows. They've made the most

cautious kind of little steps. This is their runaway hit, they thought, and they thought their runaway hit Morning is going to be Morning Show, which is successful but not like this. Yeah, so there Wow. Interesting And I you know, I've I always love like hearing those stories too, like that his especially like Jason is he's huge, he's a big actor, and you hear these stories of shows that like won't get picked up. But it's it's nice to

hear that. But also I feel like, I don't know, there's just something about like the timing of that too, like especially from a split with Olivia Wilde, Like you know, it must be so I don't know, it must be like hey, like I'm okay, you know, like good things are happening. Well, one thing that you might be able to understand better than that folks who don't have these kinds of jobs. Is the difference between when you shoot

it and when it comes out. Yeah, that's so. Yeah, he probably he probably shot the first episodes close to two years ago. Yeah, and then they've just completed this second season. And then, as you know, it made reference to he has a really big article in Gentleman's Quarterly about the split with the Libby Wall. I heard that and I got, like, it broke my heart. I read it.

But you know, at the same time, there seemed to be like he said, He's like, you know, I don't want to I'm gonna quote it wrong, but he basically said like he's okay. But you know, there was I mean, and he split his heartbreaking, you know. So I but I'm happy and I think he might have a new girlfriend now I don't know, but and he seems to

be doing good anyway. All all that maybe leads to, uh, the show sex Life, which actually I think has a more interesting real life story than maybe the show itself. It wasn't they weren't they? One of them married? And then they did they? But was it did they leave for the for the co star? Because I was someone told me that and I was like, I didn't, I never, And then I went to go look and then like, I didn't see that in the press. I just saw that they got one got divorced. Was it the man

or the woman that was? It's a woman. So her name is Sarah Shawe, and she's worked a lot and you'd recognize her, and she's second only to She's unbelievably gorgeous. She is beautiful. It's been on our show a million times. And she's married to a guy you may know named Steve or was married Howie. He was he was a regular on Reba. He's an he's a working actress to come out and three kids under ten, but apparently and seemingly very happily married. They were on our show a

bunch of times, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. So they're shooting this I think in the fall of twenty twenty, or maybe even a little earlier, and suddenly she and Steve are divorced. Show comes out and then and this must be another heartbring thing. All these social media posts from her, and again she's been married to this other guy quite sometime.

They have three children. You know, you know when you know when you meet the one that is absolutely the right one for you, you know, and all the stuff. And she talks about meeting in the makeup trailer and she kind of knew right then. And then they started and again an experience you may or may not have had, they start doing these scenes together and she totally it's

way more than the page. And then so that the thing about it that so I've heard mixed things about the show, but the thing that you might find it of interest is it's very explicit, intimate stuff but directed by a woman and quote unquote from a woman's point of view. Oh interesting, Oh that would be interesting to see. I mean I definitely like, oh, that's hard because you know, being on set there is that I mean, you have

to have chemistry with the person that you're with. I mean I would think so, yeah, I mean it's hard, not like when I've all it's only happened once where I didn't have great chemistry with one of my co stars. But you know, and then there's that line it's like you have to be so careful. I mean, so many people fall in love on set and that line is very blurred when you're spending so much time together. But at the same time, it's also a fairy tale. It's

not real, like those emotions and those connections. It's all like you're going to like I'm going to Connecticut to basically fall in love with another and then I'm never going to probably talk to them again, you know. But it's like the character like that's and the and then you have to be able to separate it, and you know, it's it's it's so crazy because yeah, but at the end of the day, it's like, in a year from now, are you is it still going to be like that explosiveness?

I don't know, or is it just that that love, you know, and which I totally can relate to, being like oh like this love and this addiction and like all this things and like the one and maybe it is I don't know, or it might just be like the fantasy. I just have been in that world before where it's like, okay, this is you know, statistically it usually doesn't last, but what I think fuels it to some degree. You've obviously spent far more time on sets

than I have. But two things. It's all I find set life is all hurry up and wait, so you've got all you're spending so much time sitting down talking about everything, probably in marriage or this or that or you know your fears. I mean you're you're having like every time they say cut you go sit down with

your co star. I never thought about that. Yeah, I mean they know you know more about me, some of them than some friends, do you know, because you're spending like so much intimate time with all day sixteen hours. So yeah, okay, give us, give us one more that we should be one that. I tell you what that ladies love and again, sometimes these things are on gender lines and this might just be really good fun escape of stuff for you guys. Have you heard about Virgin River?

Oh I just started that. I wasn't in love. Well, I started it before and then I started it again, and now I'm on like episode four or five. I like it. I loved that show. We see okay, And this is how people assume they know about your life. The dilemma with the morning show for us who work on morning TV, oh you hate it. Nobody looks like that. We all we all get up that early. But besides that, the

similarities fall away. And I will say this too, like when you talk about like you not liking that show, you know, for me, like it was hard to watch Nashville because I'm like, that's not country music. It's hard for football players to watch Fride night Lights. Like I was talking to my friend their day, who was you know, He's like, I didn't like one Try Hill because the basketball was like not real. Or you know, my doctor

friends are like Gray's Anatomy that's so fake. So I think it's hard when you're actually in that like profession, but it's so good for the people that are on the outside of just dony believe that it's real. You know. I'm like, I'm here for it. I didn't love the casting of Reese for for that girl. I wanted her to be like a little younger, like more of like a Rachel McAdams or like a someone just a touch younger.
