Adrian Goldberg is an investigative journalist and West Bromwich season ticket holder. he's taking you inside the boardroom with Charlie Methven, boyhood Oxford United fan, one time Sunderland director and now an investor in Charlton Athletic…
This week – they look at multi club ownership. Why do owners want to own more than one football club? What’s in it for supporters? And what are the riks it poses to fair competition in football..
The City Football Group which owns Man City has 13 clubs under it’s umbrella. There are others like the 777 group who have an interest in 6 clubs as well as Everton: Red Bull – five clubs…and a handful of owners with two or three clubs under their control like Gino Pozzi of Watford and Udinese.
