Episode description

She grew up in rural Jamaica and had a sheltered upbringing marred by fatherlessness and destitution. When Chriseve moved to a more fast-paced life in Kingston with the intention of going to university, financial challenges forced her to delay her enrolment by a year and instead enter the work force at a young age. There she met someone she trusted and befriended only to be abducted and sexually assaulted. Listen to this story of survival from what is an unfortunately common situation faced by many young women in the world of work, who have suffered silently. She sheds light on how her negative experiences led to a full fledged hate for men and eventually brought her to her lowest point. Her story of rising from the ashes will inspire and bring more awareness to serious issues facing young women in our society.
