What's up? What's up? What's up? Welcome to the When All Hail Breaks News podcast. I'm your boy, Chris King, and I'm here with a live audience. I'm really excited. Once again, I have my sister as guest, miss Adrienne Rose. Now we're gonna switch it up this time. We're gonna talk about something dear to me, and y'all are gonna probably see me at a different in a different vein. Right?

I'm I'm gonna be really transparent this episode. I'm really transparent, more so than before. And so one of the things that saddens me, right, it really hurts my heart is that people now in the church, especially, we don't expect miracles. I always tell people, you know, we don't expect miracles because we stop talking about them. Right?

When you stop talking about them, you stop expecting them. When you stop expecting them, you stop experiencing them. And so today, I really wanna talk about miracles. And, you know, I talk we talk about the relationship between you and I, you know, brother, sister, all of that good stuff, but, you know, I'm gonna give a little insight into our history and just what we've gone through in the last I don't know how many years. Right?

That's it don't matter. Right? But even in the last 2 or 7. Right? I mean, that's been crazy. So many people don't know my mother passed away on September 6, 19 1997. Okay? So it's been almost 30 years that my mother has passed away. And, Adrian, you're the one that broke the news to me. You told me.

You picked me up from the airport, and my family wanted you to tell me, of all people. And you're the one that broke it to me. And not only that, the summer before she passed, you and I had a conversation. And do you remember what that was about?

Coach Adrienne Rowe

See, you asked me that before right before we came on, you asked me that. And I I don't. Not because we had so many conversations. So

Chris KingChris King

I'll tell you.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I know you're finna tell me, though.

Chris KingChris King

You told me the summer before my mother passed away, you were praying and god has shown you that I was gonna go through a major transition that year. I

Coach Adrienne Rowe

don't remember that.

Chris KingChris King

It was in the summer. I was home from school, and and you started praying for me because you were worried about me, that it was gonna be a major transition. Come September 6th, my mother passed away. I am a man. And you were there Yeah. To pick me up from the airport Yeah. And to tell me. And I I didn't see her. I didn't meet my mother. Oh, I didn't see her before she passed.

She had a stroke, didn't have a heart attack. But after that time, after she passed, we found out she had cancer, and we didn't know. I've been taking my mother to chemo and everything. And my mother, she had lost her hair and she, but she she was like, oh, you know, baby, you know, I was just, I put up one of those relaxes in my head and I fell asleep. She's always fallen asleep in front of the TV watching Golden Girls.

227 Amen and Golden Girls. Right? And so she left it in, and then she said, well, relax. I took took it out took my hair out. So we didn't know she had cancer. And then I saw in her bible, she was transitioning. She was underlining things and highlighting things about transition. Fast forward. Right? So imagine me witnessing her hair coming out, finding out she had cancer, and then she passed away.

Fast forward. A few years ago well, several years ago, you were diagnosed with something. Okay. What were you diagnosed with?

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I was diagnosed with the initial diagnosis was scleroderma, and they believed that the scleroderma had touched my lung. And the final diagnosis was pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease.

Chris KingChris King

So I bring that up because y'all don't we're talking about miracles. A year ago, you had a double lung transplant.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yeah.

Chris KingChris King

And, Yeah. A double lung transplant. And I remember coming to Houston in the hospital, and they wanted me to interview you on video because they didn't know if you would make it.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I knew that's why you was at it. You didn't tell me. Hey. But I knew it. I knew it because you start asking. I'm like, find out y'all trying to do it before she die, Dyer. So

Chris KingChris King

and that was triggering for me. I had to get out of my own because I'm seeing your hair had fallen out. So I'm I'm like, I'm reliving my mother.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Oh, I never thought about that

Chris KingChris King

long ago. Sitting there. I'm like, oh, no. I can't do this. I can't do this. No. And then to interview somebody you love, and the camera is sitting right there, and you're asking questions about what you wish, what you want. Yeah. And at that time, we didn't know you were on the lung transplant list.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Mm-mm.

Chris KingChris King

And there were all kinds of different options. Right? Tell about the options, right, in being on the lung transplant list and what that looked like.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

So when they'd offered me they'd asked me several times, my doctors, to be on the to get on the lung transplant list because it takes a long time to get on the list. And then when you're on the list, you don't control. You know, we ain't making lungs in a factory. Like, you you literally have to wait for someone to expire. And so I really had a hard time with that.

My my I kept telling God, I know you can heal me and I don't want somebody to have to die for me to live. Jesus already did that. I don't want somebody to have to die for me to live. I wrestle with that and you know I did. And so the doctors told me and said, okay.

Well, you're gonna have to keep pulling this oxygen. And prior to going to the hospital, I was on 20 liters of oxygen around the clock. I got so fly with it. I learned how to put a splitter on my oxygen tank. So I had 2 of those big tanks and it was coming in at the same time. So I had learned out of fear. I'd learned how to cope and survive on oxygen and not get on the list. And so once I got in there, they told me they said, okay. Look. We're not gonna let you go home.

We're gonna keep you here in the hospital until some lungs come in. And when you came, they were still trying to get me on the list.

Chris KingChris King

Yeah.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

And, they said if we don't get you some lungs, you won't make it till the end of the year. We don't know if you'll even make it the next few months. We don't know. And I just looked at that good old doctor. I said, well, I trust God. He made me. He can fix me. I understand you're limited, but God's not limited.

Chris KingChris King

Now this wasn't, this wasn't a reply where, you know, people get a report and they'd be like, oh, well, I don't receive that. The devil is no. No. No. No. Because you were doing what the doctors told you to do. Mhmm. Right? Sometimes we get in situations and we say, well, now that ain't that's a lie. The devil is a lie.

I don't receive it. And you're totally miss you you know, you're you start misdiagnosing yourself. You start, you know, pushing away, you know, wisdom and people that were sent to help you. Yeah. But you didn't do that. No. Right? You you didn't do that. You were like, okay. I understand what the report is, but I'm believing in a new report. See, we're talking about miracles today because we're looking at 1.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Absolutely.

Chris KingChris King

We're looking at miracles. And I want people to see walking, living, breathing miracles because you don't you don't just have one new lung.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

No. I got 2.

Chris KingChris King

Right? You got 2 brand new lungs. And then on top of that, you started traveling before they thought you could travel.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Right?

Chris KingChris King

Go there. And and there's even more. So we're looking at a miracle. And when my when different situations and my just all hell was breaking loose in my life. You know what I said? It's like, I've seen miracles.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yes.

Chris KingChris King

I've seen miracles. So since I've seen miracles, I know that God is still doing miracles.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yeah.

Chris KingChris King

And so, therefore, I can lean on the faith that says I have witnessed. Yeah. I have talked. Yeah. I can call up miracles right now. Yeah. And and so I can continue. A lot of times, we don't have nobody to pull on, nobody to look at, nothing to no no reference, but you are a reference point. If y'all ain't never seen a miracle, here's what meet a meet miracle.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Thank you, god.

Chris KingChris King

Alright? So whatever you're going through, there's miracles. So I I I want, though, that wasn't the powerful thing, though. The powerful thing is our conversation in the hospital. Yeah. When I was interviewing you Yeah. And we have conversations all the time. That was probably the most difficult conversation I have ever had.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Me too.

Chris KingChris King

But help me understand. Help everybody else understand. Well, because I know because we've talked about it a lot now. What was going through your mind when the doctor said you probably won't be here.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

So I remember saying to god, I don't think that it's my time to die. But if it is, then help me to understand that and help me to be okay with that because I'm not okay. And I told God, I said, God I need you to give me peace with this truth if it's my truth. But if it's not my truth then give me the strength to walk this out because this is a hard place. I got a son.

He sit over there and that's my only son. And so all that's going through my mind, Chris. I have a son. I have a grandson. My grandson's little. Will he remember me? Will he know me? You know, I have nieces. I have nephews. I have sisters, brothers, my parents. I have a business. I have a dance company. You know, I'm sitting I'm laying in a hospital. Feel like I felt like I was losing everything. When I tell you everything, I mean everything.

You know, you you you you you couldn't work anymore. So, you know, I don't have one business. I have several businesses. I had to switch how I was was doing those. I had to begin to leave someone in charge of those things. I had to look at myself and say, okay. You gotta get this life insurance in place. You gotta get this will in place. What are you gonna do? How you gonna like, my whole life shifted.

It felt like the entire bottom fell out of my life. And I remember asking God, what did I do? Mhmm. What did I do for this to happen? And I remember and and a lot of times, and I'm talking about me now.

I remember I would think to myself and I would see stuff on TV and I'm thinking, not that I want I I don't wish this disease on my worst enemy. Like I told you in the hospital, I don't wish this on the devil and I don't even like that. Mhmm. But, oh, I wouldn't wish it on anybody because when you have lung disease, you feel like you're drowning without water. Every waking moment, you feel like you cannot get a breath, not enough, but a breath.

So in order to just breathe, you have 20 liters of oxygen just blowing in your face at any given time, and I didn't get the permission from God to stop. I'm still preaching. I'm still doing productions. I'm still going to dance rehearsal every Monday. I was laying in the hospital. They have a dance rehearsal on Zoom.

Chris KingChris King

Yeah.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Where do you do that? So part of me was like, God, I'm so angry because I don't understand why you're allowing this to happen when I can just repent and we'd be done with it. See what I'm saying? But then the other side of me was like, you built for this.

Chris KingChris King

Mhmm.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

You coach this. This is what you do, Adrian. You built for this. And I'm a tell you, Chris, I didn't shift my perspective until I heard God say, why not you?

Chris KingChris King

Yeah. You know, you're bringing up a good point. One of the revelations I had a few weeks ago about all the hell that I've been through throughout my entire life is the story of Job. Oh. And so a lot of people will use Job and be like, well, God gave him double for his trouble, but hold on.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Hold on.

Chris KingChris King

Hold on. Job was going through hell.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I'm telling you.

Chris KingChris King

Right? He was going through hell. He lost everything. Everything. And there's a process, and there's a mindset. There's some questions. And, no, he was human, and he he lost everything. Everything. And he didn't know God was gonna bless him with devil for us, trouble. Stop relying on that. But one thing that I I I understood, there was a conversation.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yes.

Chris KingChris King

There was a conversation, not between God and Job, but there was a conversation between God and Satan. Yes. And he said, have you considered

Coach Adrienne Rowe

That part.

Chris KingChris King

What hit me recently you just said God was like, well, why not you? God said he he he he he he he told me about the conversation, and I stuck on that have you considered. Have you considered my servant, Chris?

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Mhmm. Come on now.

Chris KingChris King

Have you considered my servant, Adrian? Mhmm. See, that's a whole different level of living. Mhmm. When God says, have you considered Have you

Coach Adrienne Rowe

considered?

Chris KingChris King

I'm a let him touch you, but you you can't touch her life. You can't take a life. You can't take his life. I'm a let him touch you. Have you considered? That that now trans forms my thinking from struggle to it is a freaking honor.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

It's an honor. You can trust me with this trouble.

Chris KingChris King

It's an honor to go through what I'm going through. It's an honor. It ain't easy. Don't let the smooth taste fool you, but it is a freaking honor It is. For God to say, have you considered if God hadn't said, have you considered my servant, whatever your name is, we need to check what's going on in your life. Yeah. Check your commitment. Check your purpose. Check what you're doing. Because now I'm seeing God said, have you considered my servant, Chris?

Have you considered my servant, Adrian? And that's what brings light to the conversation that we had in that hospital room that we were videotaping. Yeah. Because when I asked you, what was your concern? You didn't tell me about anything like that. You started talking about your purpose.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Your purpose.

Chris KingChris King

That's what that when you were facing you were knocking on death's door because real talk, you were going through the stages of transition.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I know it. I know it now. You were going

Chris KingChris King

now there are different if if you've ever met anyone that serves in hospice or any particular types of, you know, medical field, they will tell you there are certain stages of transition that they start seeing. She was going through stages of transition as I'm sitting there talking to her. Yeah. But as I'm talking to you, the only thing you could talk about was fulfillment of your purpose.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

That's the thing. Like, that's why when I coach, I coach the way I do about purpose. Y'all true story. I coded.

Chris KingChris King

Yes. More than once.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

One particular time, when I tell you there is no in between. Do not let people make you believe that you get a period of time where you in between. You think about it, talk about it, then we uh-uh. Uh-uh. If you really can see your eyes as windows and imagine that my eyes are my spirit.

This is my spirit. And these are my human eyes. As I was coming out of myself, when I got right here, see how my eyes are over my over here? I can see where I was. I can look down and see the light, but when I looked up it was getting darker and darker.

I knew I was in a tunnel. I couldn't it was the blackest black I have ever seen. And I knew I was in a tunnel, I just knew it. And when I tell you way, way, way, way down there, I'm talking about way, way down there. It was a little bitty pinhole of light.

It was bright, but it was so far away. And immediately I heard in this ear, I finally got her to die. It was the most eerie and unsettling and creepy voice. And I immediately knew, I said, that's the enemy. And then in this ear and it was so calm and peaceful. It was like, do you wanna live? And my answer was, I haven't fulfilled purpose. And I let you point this out, I love my family, you know it.

Chris KingChris King

Yeah.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I ain't think about none of

Chris KingChris King

y'all. Mhmm.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I didn't say I want to live for none of my family. Not my son. No. Nobody. You hear me? And I love him with every fiber of my being. The only thing that came to mind in that state was I have not fulfilled purpose, which confirmed what I know as a life coach. You are here to fulfill purpose. This other stuff is a added extra.

Chris KingChris King

Check it. I told you when my mom when my mom died, you remember some of the stuff that went on, but I was so upset with God that I was praying for God to take me. There were times I I took pills

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I to

Chris KingChris King

try to end my life.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I was praying for you to stay.

Chris KingChris King

And, you know, I just was like I I started daring I started sleeping on my back like this because I wanted God to take me. There was one night where I could see I I began to I could see myself. It's like spiritually I could see my physical body Mhmm. Lying in the bed and I could see everything going on out there. And I heard God say, do you want to live?

But prior to that, he had shown shown me all the other things that he had for me to all the people, all the millions of lives, millions, black, white, brown, you know, purple, polka dot, what I don't care. Every nationality. And I did not once think of my family.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

It's true.

Chris KingChris King

I did not once think of anything else. I didn't even know my purpose at the time, but god show showed me all of that. And I said, god, I want to fulfill my purpose. I was in college.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Mhmm. Mhmm. And

Chris KingChris King

so it wasn't till we started having these conversations that it started I was like because at first, I thought I was crazy. I wouldn't tell people you know, I told you, and I told people other people. And I thought I was crazy, but I said, god, I wanna fulfill my purpose. I wanna do what you have me to do. Now this was BC before Christ, Chris, so I was still trifling. You and you know all my bodies are buried. I was still trifling. Trifling, y'all. I was yeah. Man, look.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

3 of y'all.

Chris KingChris King

I cannot run for office again because they will come for you, but, like, hey. Tell us where they buried. But but no. But I was still I hadn't given my life to him, but I knew I had been in church enough, and and I knew that that was the voice. I knew some I was like, look. This is it felt so calm. Yep. That's it. Like and and I was just like, I wanna fulfill purpose. And my family were close.

Mhmm. Very, very close. I didn't think about them once. And so, there were other times in my life that certain things happened and I gave my life, to God and I said, God, I'm going to live my life as if my life depends on me fulfilling purpose. Yep. That's a different type of living. That's like, God, I'm totally committed and sold out. You say go, I go. However it looks, you say move to Georgia, move to Georgia. I know.

You say get on stage. I didn't wanna be a senior pastor. Lord knows, I didn't like church folk, but I served as a senior pastor for almost a decade.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

You did. I know you did.

Chris KingChris King

I didn't want to. I didn't like y'all.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

That could be hard.

Chris KingChris King

Right? I didn't. Yeah. And and I still question sometimes. Right? But but but I I but I did because I knew that god had told me to do it for that season.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yes.

Chris KingChris King

And now and I'm like, god. Whatever you say do, I'll do. Me and me. Because my life truly depends on it. Too many people play around and say yes, but they don't really mean yes. But when you say yes, it's an honor for God to say have you considered. But that opens you up to experience miracles. Now what people don't know is that you were suffering from that disease for 7 years.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Mhmm.

Chris KingChris King

K? Yep. But you were diagnosed right after you came from what con what country in Africa? I can't remember. Africa. I know it was Africa. Africa's a continent. Uganda. Okay. Alright.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I was in Africa.

Chris KingChris King

Everybody be everybody be like, let's go back to Africa. What part? You know? Egypt is a part of Africa. You know? Uganda. It. Okay. So so after that now in Africa, you told when you came back, you came to preach at our church right after that. Mhmm. And you told me how different the level of faith was

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Oh, that's right.

Chris KingChris King

That you experienced. Please help us understand what you experienced in Africa and what was going on.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

In Uganda.

Chris KingChris King

In Uganda. Yeah. Because Africa is a continent. Okay.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

They have such a reverence, saved or not. In Uganda, every single church I went to, whether it was made out of mud or someone's home, If you were not saved, Chris, they wouldn't even cross the door. When we were in there dancing, preaching, whatever, you would see people and I had to adjust that. People looking in the windows or hanging on the windows because the windows didn't have a window pane. So they would just hang on the window seal and kinda look.

And I kept thinking, what are they doing? Because they'd already told us too that witchcraft is very high. They tell you a monkey in the morning, you're a monkey. I'm like, woah. Woah. I'm good. So I had to adjust to that. But let me show you the miracle. They believe in the miracle working God. They believe the god that can do the impossible god because they don't the part I was in, they don't have access to what we have.

So they can't go right to the doctor. They can't go get a double lung transplant. So God's gonna have to do it or it ain't gonna get done. And that's how they believe. But watch this. I asked one of the guys, one of the, he's an apostle. That was one of our tour guys that was driving us. And I asked, I said, why are you all this way? Why do you believe like you what is it? He looked at me.

We passed the building, huge building, jam packed, people outside around the corner. I was like, oh, they're having a church service there? He said, no. That's devil worship. They climb in the walls.

I was like, what? And he told me this particular person had come there and been coming there and people were bringing everything, all of their things, their valuable things, because he was giving prophetic words and they knew that it was witchcraft. I was like, wow. And I looked at him and I said, so what do believers do? He said, we have to believe on our God like that because they believe on their God like that and they get results.

So we get results. I said, what? At the service, it may have been the next night. It was over there almost 2 weeks. Little over 2. Right at 2. A man, we had an outside night. They have an outside event. Anyone can come. Mhmm. Saved or not. But they tell you be very careful because of witchcraft. So we're on the stage and y'all, if it was a 1,000 people there, it was 2,000. So many people there. And all of a sudden, the crowd starts to move like this right down the center.

And I'm thinking, what is going on? And so my armor bearer, she comes, the security comes up, we're all standing there because we can't see. Right up to the stage, this man comes and he's speaking in their language. And one of the ladies there, she put her hands on his eyes. I heard God say, put your hand on top of her hand and move your hand like this.

As I move my hand, he was totally blind. He was totally blind. So blind his eyes were gray. As my hand moved her hand, I could see his eyes turn brown. He began to scream and shout and jump and run with all those people. So we it just shook everything up. The stage was literally shaking. And what he said was, I see you. I see you. I see you. The next day, we had service again. I was up preaching. He walks in the back. He wasn't saved. You don't do that.

He walked in with another man. Because he was unchurched, he walked right down to the front and the interpreter began to interpret for me. And he said, my friend and I have never seen each other. We're both blind. My friend wants to see like I can see him. And immediately I told him, I said, I don't have that power. God is the only one that can do that. Watch this. Scripture is so exact, Chris. I pray for the man. We all did. First time he said, I can see light. Bible reference.

Chris KingChris King

Mhmm.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Pray for him again. He said, I see figures. Bible said, I see men in the light tree.

Chris KingChris King

Mhmm. Mhmm.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

And the Holy Spirit said, don't pray again. It's contingent upon his faith. And so I told him, I said, now the rest is between you and God. But they are that's common.

Chris KingChris King

Mhmm.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

They see that kind of stuff all the time. I didn't see that in America. And I would never forget the first time I met a black Orthodox Jew at my godparents house. I would never forget what he told me. He said, in America, y'all don't see miracles like we do. Because he wasn't from here. I said, no. He said, you know why? He said, y'all all go to church. I said, you're right. He said, you know why? I said, no. I don't know why. He said, because you don't believe. Because you don't have to.

I looked at him. I said, what do you mean? He said, you put your trust in your doctors. You put your trust in the people that you think can fix and heal you when God made you. Whenever you all get to a place where you're desperate enough to trust God, he'll show you a miracle. I held on to that and I saw it in Uganda.

Chris KingChris King

Wow. Yeah.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

And I think that that was the thing. Because in the hospital, I kept going back to the I kept telling God, I know what you can do. I've seen it with my own eyes, my own hands. I've seen it, so I know what you can do. Just heal me.

Chris KingChris King

You know, a lot of people think, we're talking about this. Right? You saw miracles blinded, eyes open, and and I've seen miracles in in different capacities. And I've my life has been a miracle. I've been healed in areas you've been healed.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yeah.

Chris KingChris King

And so some people think that it has to be this big spectacle. Mm-mm. So one of the things that I wanna encourage people to do is to identify the miracles that have already taken place in their life.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yes.

Chris KingChris King

Because we're at a place in America where if we don't have anything else, we have to be able to rely on faith in God. We have to because all hell is breaking loose. We have to be able to rely on our faith in God, and we've become these old soft, I can't say what I wanna say, type Christians, you know, to where we don't even expect it any we don't even expect God to move. It's like Yeah. Oh, it'd be nice. You know?

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yeah.

Chris KingChris King

And and then we're just really talking about, oh, god. Enlarge my territory and all this other stuff. You know? It's like so help help us understand how can we start looking at even the smallest moves of god in our life so that we can start something.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Every day that I wake up now, every day before my feet touch the ground, I speak to God, I speak to Jesus, I speak to the holy spirit and I say, thank you God for this day and help me to live it to its fullest. Holy spirit, give me wisdom. Lead me, guide me, connect and direct me. But this day, let me live it to us. Let me tell you something.

When doctors look you in your face and tell you, I'm a drop these 2 lungs in your chest. And if you make it a year, you doing good. Mhmm. Because they don't belong to you. And you wake up in the morning and you're like, oh, I made it another day. You know how many times I did that the 1st year? Mhmm. Oh, I'm still alive. Like for real for real. Like right now right now I'm talking to you and my chest is tight.

Not because I'm in any pain, not because that is the way it feels when they open your chest and close it back up. It's just as tight. So I have a daily reminder that God sent you a pair of lungs from heaven and dropped them in your chest. So when you expand, when you inhale, when your when your when your chest and your ribs and your all this expands, you feel it to know that that is the presence of God that is allowing you, Adrian, to breathe today. It has nothing to do with your humanness because you couldn't do it on your own.

That's a miracle for me.

Chris KingChris King

It's a miracle.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Every day. Every day. Chris, do you understand? I would sit in the car. I would ask my siblings and my parents. Okay. I just wanna go to the store with you. I'm just gonna sit in the car because I couldn't get out of the car and walk because the oxygen would run out and then I wouldn't be able to breathe. So I would sit there timing my oxygen. Mhmm.

Chris KingChris King

And

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I'm like, okay. Y'all go ahead and go in the grocery. I remember thinking, oh, if I could just walk through the grocery store. If I could just pump gas in the car. If I could just walk around the park one time. Not even a whole mile. Just one full lap guy. Just one time. And then when I had to stop dancing, that's what I do. And I'm the director. So I'm still choreographing. I'm still going to rehearsal. I'm still ordering flags. We're still traveling. We're still dancing, but I can't dance.

And I would say, God, if you just let me dance again. And we ain't gonna say nothing about when they took the breathing tube out of my throat and I lost my voice for all those all that time. And they told me I'd never talk again. What you mean I'm not gonna talk again? I'm a coach. This is what I do. I preach. This is what I do. And so I was silent. Can you imagine when you come out of surgery and open your mouth to say, hey, and this what comes out?

Not, hey, but nothing and you didn't know it was gonna be gone. Nothing. And then they tell you if it doesn't come back in 2 weeks, we're gonna give you a trach so that people can hear you. Are you kidding me? How am I gonna do this with a trach in my throat?

So so all of that, being able to sit here and and and to talk to you all and and to not have to put something in my throat, to be able to look you in the face and say, there was a time I didn't even think I would be here. Like as much faith as I had, as much as I believe it did cross my mind, Chris. It did. What if I told you I asked God. Well, now if this the case, you're going to have to help me to accept this because I don't this is not what I saw for my life.

So every day and that's the thing. We get so comfortable with God that we forget the daily blessings of just being human and alive. Okay. So you might want a little more money. Okay. So your light bill went up. Okay. Gas is going up. Alright. You burnt the cake. Let it go. Right.

Chris KingChris King

Yes.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Like, do you know how long I couldn't even cook for myself? Let me tell you something. Laying in a hospital and you gotta depend on a nurse, god, I thank you for nurses because I had some good ones. They come in there and do everything from wipe your face to wipe your bottom. Man, please. Let me tell you something. Glad to go to a restroom. What? For real? For real.

So yes, the daily miracle of life start if you don't have anything else to be thankful for. If you think your life sucks, you got one.

Chris KingChris King

Yep. Yep.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

The daily miracle of life. Because see, I think we forget and I had to remind myself everything I've asked God for in the Bible. He says his answer is yes and amen. He just didn't tell you to be. Mhmm.

Chris KingChris King

Let me

Coach Adrienne Rowe

tell you the most profound thing to happen those 6 months in the hospital was while I couldn't talk. Then God had some conversations when I couldn't say nothing. One of them conversations. I was like, what is the purpose of this? I know this is happening for a reason, but what is it, God? And I heard clear as day, glory faith. Glory faith. What is glory? I never heard of glory faith. Even though I had to learn to walk again.

Even though I had to learn thank God my speech just when it came back, it it just came. After they did everything, they told me they didn't know what to do. It just came back, Chris. Well, you know. It just came back. My hands never stopped working.

Chris KingChris King

So

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I could still get my phone. I could still Google. I could still type. Like like this part kept working. I remember I start to research that. What is glory faith? What is glory? What is faith? Then I took my hands off of it and I said, okay. Holy Spirit, teach me what you're trying to get me to know.

Let me tell you what God said. God said we're moving into a period of time or a dispensation when it will require glory faith for you to function. Said, okay, God. What is glory? Glory glory faith is the level of faith that requires my manifested presence in your life to function at the level that I've called you to function.

And there was a cross that you will carry to receive that anointing. And he took me back to the garden. God got quiet. Chrissy got quiet in the garden. That was a lot to bear for Jesus. Mhmm. It was a lot to bear. And in that moment, the Bible tells us his sweat was like drops of blood. That means it was thick and it was heavy. But it required that level of watch this. Of laying down what he wanted.

Chris KingChris King

Absolutely.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

It required that level of surrender for him to be equipped with the manifested presence of the God like person and who he was as Jesus to be able to walk Calvary out, hang up on that cross and decide when he was good and ready, I'll give up the ghost.

Chris KingChris King

Man.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

That transition required a surrender. So when you get to the place where God has called you to be and you begin to walk in your true calling, it requires a place of surrender. What that surrender is is determined by what you're called to do, but you will surrender. Absolutely. You will surrender.

And in that surrendering, you're not giving up everything. What you're doing is you're releasing that that you're holding onto so earnestly for God to replace it with him, for God to replace it with his anointing, for God to replace it with his power, for God to replace it with the call of God on your life, to be equipped to do what he's called you to do in the earth realm. We are here to change lives forever.

Chris KingChris King

Absolutely. Amen.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

That's my moment.

Chris KingChris King

Amen. Amen. And as we close, we go through all of that because you talked about dance and that was what you did. And your dream was to dance on stages that you only imagined. After you went through that, had a double lung transplant, I'll just say those things started to come

Coach Adrienne Rowe

true. Absolutely.

Chris KingChris King

Briefly just tell us how that came about and what happened. What what stages you've been on now and

Coach Adrienne Rowe

God, it's so good. So I'm dancing again with flags. We're traveling. We're touring. But the most amazing thing was God opened a door for my dance company to go to Disney World.

And we dance at the Disney experience, Disney Springs, Disney Orlando, and at several places, Hollywood Studios. We were just all over Disney. And I think what blessed me the most was while we were there, one of my dreams has been to create we do a production called the past experience. But I want it on the same level as Cirque du Soleil, as Shen Yun because I want people to experience the presence of God through the arts. Not just see it, but have a whole experience.

And so I wanted to meet someone that worked for one of those companies. God would have it. We were able while we were there to sit down with 1 of the dancers and directors of Cirque du Soleil. And we had the best conversation and we connected and I told her about what we were doing and she looked at me and she said, I think it's a great idea. And not only is it a great idea, I'm here to help you.

What do you need? What do you need to know? And that was what I asked God. I said, God, send me someone that can show me what to do. Connect me with the people that can help me push this forward because it's yours. I'll be the vehicle, but you gotta send the people. And God has just been opening doors left and right, opening them left and right. And I'm thankful, like

Chris KingChris King

And when I asked you in that hospital room, I said, what do you want most After everything is said and gone, you you told me I want the passion experience to be on a global level to bless so many people and to be able to where people could experience God through the arts Yeah. And to go on that level. And within a year

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I know right.

Chris KingChris King

You were on that stage and god was directing it to where all of that is now happening.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

I can't wait.

Chris KingChris King

You can't tell me that god is still not performing miracles.

Coach Adrienne Rowe

Yeah. Yeah.

Chris KingChris King
