Hey, this is Ilya.

And I'm Arnab.

We are the creators of Metacast. We're a small team on the quest to build a perfect podcast app.

Let us give you a quick tour of the app.

The screen you're looking at right now is the episode player. It has a transcript that syncs with audio as you listen. If you want to read or skip parts of the episode, just start scrolling. You can double-tap the transcript to play from there. To synchronize the transcript with audio, tap the blue sync button at the bottom right.

When you hear interesting parts, you can bookmark them. Just swipe anywhere on the transcript to create a bookmark or copy a quote. You can also search the transcript to find relevant bits.

In Metacast episodes are automatically split in the chapters. Just above the player buttons, you'll see the current chapter. Tap it to see the list of all chapters. Use it to find interesting topics and skip intros and ads.

Another important feature of Metacast is playlist. Follow a podcast and new episodes from it will be added to your Following playlist. Think of this as your podcast inbox. Listen Later is your listening queue. Add episodes to it to listen to them later. All your downloads appear in the Downloads playlist and custom playlists are coming soon. Stay tuned.

The rest of the app is very intuitive. Just remember that everything is a swipe in Metacast. Swipe to add an episode to a playlist. Swipe to download. Swipe to share.

We're always adding new features to the app. Subscribe to our "Metacast: Behind the scenes" podcast and stay up to date. We love to hear back from our users. Contact us via Reddit or email and you can find these in the Setting tab.

Now, follow some podcasts and enjoy Metacast. If you like the app, start the free trial for unlimited access to all features. Thanks for listening.
