Episode description

In the spring and summer of 2017, network and cable TV aired endless “specials” and documentaries to commemorate the 20 year anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. Many of the programs claimed to have exclusive interviews or footage, and most of them focused on her finals days alive, re-igniting potential conspiracy theories. Jenks watched them all. He believes much of their focus was on inauthentic interviews and lazy storytelling oftentimes missing the larger, more important story of the change agent that Diana was and how Prince William and Prince Harry’s similar spirit, and empathy for the underserved, may prove to be her greatest legacy of all.
