What Pain in the Neck? Resolving Suffering

Ruth Elderwww.blairclinic.com

What Pain in the Neck? Resolving Suffering is a podcast about finding real solutions to stubborn suffering. Stories of people who got their life back in abundance or are helping others to do so. Your host Ruth Elder has devoted her life to spreading the message that healing is possible even in the most severely complicated and long-lasting cases.

Are you suffering and feeling like you have tried everything?  Gone from doctor to doctor, had tests, X-Rays, MRIs, and more, only to be told there is nothing wrong with you? But YOU know something is very wrong with you?! It is not all in your head. It is a real pain in the neck, but it doesn’t have to continue. Symptoms like Migraines, vertigo, Trigeminal Neuralgia, chronic infections, and nerve pain can get better, even completely gone. Could it be that YOU are suffering NEEDLESSLY?

What Pain in the Neck? Is a metaphor for all kinds of pain and problems that drag us down in life. But it doesn’t have to be that way.  No matter what hasn’t worked in the past, there is always a solution,. This is a show about people who have found answers and are willing to share them freely with you. How about going from  “What a pain in the neck all the time!“ to truly being able to say: “What pain in the neck?” Often when this happens, the pressing question is: “Why didn’t I know about this sooner?”

Your host Ruth Elder has worked behind the scenes in specialized healthcare since 1994, starting as an assistant to Dr.Muncy and now a wife and business partner to Dr. Gordon Elder, DCCJP. They have had a Blair upper-cervical chiropractic practice since 2000. Ruth’s passion is to connect problems with solutions and bring healing to those who suffer. She got well because she didn’t give up, and someone told her about a unique solution in the form of upper cervical chiropractic.

Several stories come from Ruth’s own life experiences and learning, but many come from interviewing people who have gotten help with things like MS, Parkinsons' disease, and more.  Suffering and sick people didn’t give up on searching for a solution. They found there was hope, their suffering RESOLVED, and they got their lives back.

The interviews with experts are based on many great discussions with some of the best high-level doctors across many specialties. Many of these experts share their specialties and insights on this show.

For more than 20 years, Ruth lived with chronic, debilitating pain 100%  of the time. Every year growing up was worse than the year before.  Practically speaking, she was an invalid. At age six, she started having low back pain. The neck pain was constant, the excruciating headache never went away, and the pain between the shoulder blades was nagging. The constant infections knocked her down. She couldn’t do normal things.  And yet all the doctors were telling her they couldn’t find anything wrong, it must be in her head.

She knows what it is like to suffer and knows what it is like to be well.

In 1994 Gordon Elder took Ruth to see a Blair upper-cervical ciropractor who specialize in neck injuries. He found an injury in the upper neck by the brainstem. It was corrected gently without popping, twisting or jerking. Gradually she became healthier and stronger. She has raised four kids and had an active career in fitness. Along with a healthy nervous system, a healthy lifestyle brings healing to the body, mind, and soul. This show will podcast stories about it all.

These days Ruth Elder and her husband Gordon Elder, DC, FICPA, DCCJP, serve as owners/directors of the Blair Chiropractic Clinic in Lubbock, Texas, where they serve West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Their desire is to spread the message of hope, healing, and solutions to pain worldwide.
