Episode description

Today on the What Nik Knows podcast we will be discussing The Three Sisters: Perfectionism, Procrastination, and Imposter Syndrome. Why do I call them sisters? Because I see them as a family. The three of them share many many many characteristics and once you can determine where your behavior is coming from- meaning the deeper issues at hand -you can start to make progress towards the goals you want to achieve. All three of these sisters block us from leveling up. Today I am going to be sharing insight on all three of the areas while also giving you tips and support on how to beat them in your day to day life!

Some take aways from today's episode:

1. Procrastination is an emotional regulation problem not a time management one

2. Procrastinatory cognitions lead to greater distress and MORE procrastination

3. There are 3 domains of perfectionism

4. We often pivot once we realize that things are too hard or we "failed"

5. How can perfectionism be a good thing

6. Women suffer from imposter syndrome more than men

7. What is imposter syndrome

8. Where does imposter syndrome come from

9. How to manage procrastination, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome

Here are some of the resources I leveraged in the show today:
