My name is Jeff and I live in Cole Harbor, Nova Scotia, Canada with my wife and three kids. Back in twenty and thirteen, we had some unexplained things happened in our home. My oldest daughter was sixteen months old at the time. She had been waking up around the same time every night, and when my wife and I would check on her, she would be shaking in fear in her crib. We asked her why she was waking up, and she told us that nanny kept waking her up. Well, we

thought that was weird. My mother likes to be called nanny, but she lives in an hour's drive away. We kind of just brushed it off as her imagination. One night, when she woke up, my wife took her out to the living room to try to calm her and get her back to sleep. She didn't turn the light on when she went into the room because it would hinder the goal of getting our brought her back to sleep. Our daughter sat up and asked why there was a baby ghost playing with her dollhouse

across the room. This freaked my wife out, so she turned on the light and my daughter asked, where did the baby ghosts go. My wife never saw a thing. She came into our bedroom and woke me, and I went out and investigated, but I didn't find anything. The next night, when she woke, I got up with her and took her out to the living room and I tried to get her back to sleep. She sat up again and told me that there was a baby ghost playing with her dollhouse.

Again. I asked her what the baby ghosts looked like. She said she looked gross and had booboos on her face. I couldn't see this thing. It was very disturbing to me. She was too young to be making this up. What the hell was going on in our house. Two days later, my wife and I got our little monkey to sleep and we decided to watch a movie. We got some snacks and we went downstairs to get comfortable. We were watching the movie for a bit when we heard music coming

from the baby monitor. We looked at each other and then bolted upstairs to the baby's room, and when we got there, the music was still playing. It was coming from a rocking horse decoration that plays music when you turned the knob on the bottom. We had never turned that knob before. Our girl was sleeping in her crib, and this decoration was across the room. We were getting uneasy with things, to say the least. At the time,

my wife was working as a supervisor for a cleaning company. She would work until anywhere between twelve and two am while I was home with the little one. One night, when she arrived home at two am, she saw a toy teapot of my daughter on the living room floor, sitting on its side and spinning in a circle. Other toys would randomly go off through the night as well. The nightly sleep interruptions continued, and our daughter told us

that there were three people visiting her. There was Nanny, the baby, ghost with booboos, and the man from the car. I showed her some photos of various family members who had passed away and that she had never got to meet. She pointed to a photo of my aunt and said, that's nanny. The photo was my mother's sister. She and my mom didn't look alike at all, and I was pretty close to her. She didn't have any kids, so I think she always thought of my sister as her own.

It would make sense that she would be checking in on us after death if she could. The lack of sleep was wearing on us, as it does for any parent of a young child, but this was different. Our child was scared to death when she would wait trembling most nights. I had to do something, But how do I protect my child from something that I can't see? It was a pretty helpless feeling. I ended up looking up

a medium online and I reached out to him via email. He replied shortly after and asked for my phone number, and he said that he would call me that evening, and as promised, he called and asked a few questions about the dollhouse in our house. The dollhouse was given to us by my cousin. It was purchased from a department store by her, so we didn't think it had anything to do with that. Our house was a bank foreclosure, so we didn't have any info on that either. He suggested that we

do a smudging, which is a Native spiritual cleansing technique. He instructed me to say a prayer while smudging and to tell whatever spirit that may be in the house that they have passed and to go to the light. After I did this, everything stopped. My daughter's sleep pattern went back to normal with no more disruptions. We never did find out who the baby ghost was or the man from the car, but I'm glad they've moved on. I have

two other children now and they never mentioned these spirits. My oldest daughter has not mentioned them since then. She is now a beautiful eight year old little girl.
