Peter Goelz

Arnie and Scott welcome back guest Peter Goelz to the KGVO airwaves. Peter is the former head of the National Transportation Safety Board and a Washington Lobbyist. The group talks about the recent tragic derailment in Joplin, MT of the Amtrak Empire Builder train from Chicago to Seattle last weekend. They talk safety, equipment and infrastructure – and delve into larger issues that are connected including climate change, Washington politics and policy. They also look overseas to countries in Europe and Asia, and how they are far more advanced than the US in infrastructure and transportation systems.
