When the people of Israel fought against Amalek, God allowed Israel to prevail as long as Moses lifted up his hands overlooking the battle, but Moses’ steadfast leadership depended on the physical support of Aaron and Hur. Similarly, our prayers hold up the hands of our pastors so they can continue to carry out their sacred responsibility to lift up the Word of God.
