Jesus often said shocking things, never for their 'shock value,' but because God's truth often contradicts our life's outlook in surprising ways. Few statements were more shocking or revolutionary than Jesus teaching us to address God as our Father. To some of His hearers, addressing God as Father was scandalous and to others it transformed their understanding of God and the faith from religious rule-keeping to a vibrant relationship with a good God. Join us at Westtown this Sunday as we begin a new sermon series on the Lord's prayer and see how being able to address God as our Father answers some of life's biggest questions.
