Episode description

In week four of our “EPIC” series, Pastor Terence shared about another dream that King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt in Daniel 4. The king is warned for four chapters straight that although the children of Israel find themselves in exile, and experiencing hard times because of their disobedience, that God is still God and that no matter how big Nebuchadnezzar’s kingdom gets, it will never usurp or take over The Kingdom of God. For four chapters we see Nebuchadnezzar stick out his chest so to speak in a way that suggests that he is in control, but God in the background is telling this epic story of His sovereignty. God gives Nebuchadnezzar all these warnings. Thirty years after the dream of the statue, the king has another dream, and God is giving him a final warning, “break your sins, seek righteousness, and show mercy to the poor.”The entire epic story that God is telling is that we must break pride and pursue humility in reverence to the One that controls and owns it all.
