Episode description

You probably know that hepatitis affects the liver, but did you know that certain forms can be sexually transmitted or even passed from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth? Other forms can even be transmitted through food. Fortunately, there are many things you can do to protect yourself!

In observance of World Hepatitis Day, otherwise known as July 28th, Dr. Susan Rutherford joins host Beth Chase to talk about the various forms of hepatitis, how they’re spread, the relevant symptoms and tests you should know about, and what precautions you can take to avoid this debilitating and often long-lasting disease!
