Episode description

Dr. Jeanette welcomes Tracy Schlepphorst, author of The Emotion Belly Books for young children to share how to help young children process emotions through reading and play tools.

Are children's emotions innately inbreed and they are born with all emotions ready to pop? Are they born with anger, depression and sadness?

Perhaps what you 'see in your child' is what is reflected upon the child, from the parents and society, or something that is learned and kids take on?

Can we empower kids to take care of their own happy and learn how to shine in all life situations when other around them are still in the old beliefs of how children should act, behave and socially exist?

It is imperative to let kids know; it is ok to be angry or sad but they are not a bad person.

How to bring happy back to children's lives may be our goal however it is really about finding our happy as it is reflected in our children.
