So, as promised- Gigi has a happy ending to her seizure journey! Listen in as I pick up where I left off in Part 1 where we discovered her “gelastic” seizures were due to a non cancerous harmatoma deep inside the brain.
I start this episode with a funny story about how I found her life-saving surgeon and team through one of my first blind dates in over 8 years! I also share the experience from diagnosis, to meeting her new team, to tests, to the actual surgery and recovery.
Finally, you’ll hear about my daughter’s courageous sharing of the disorder through a presentation to her third grade class, thanks to her remarkable teaching team at her wonderful elementary school.
