Ep 23 - Dr. KAY's Cancer Update #3 - Being Open to Receive
Episode description
Welcome to a solo cast about my post-op Cancer experience with me, your host, Dr. KAY.
Two weeks after my procedure, I have been doing what the doctor ordered: rest and take it easy. Pero let me tell you that it is really hard for a type A mami like me.
In this episode, you hear about how I had to permit myself to rest because I am used to caring for everyone around me. Instead of ensuring I picked up my son, everyone had something to eat, or my team needed what I needed, I needed to turn inwards. My body needed me to take it easy, and I had to give myself the grace to say I didn't have to do it all.
Other chimse I share:
- Using my time effectively to leave space for rest
- Learn to accept the help that was being so kindly given
- Take in that I am worthy of receiving gifts of time, love, energy
- Start to open yourself up to build up a chosen familia
