[SPEAKER_00]: All right ladies, welcome back to the next episode on the weight loss for women 40 plus podcasts with Josh. [SPEAKER_00]: Now today we are talking about hard things. [SPEAKER_00]: So I did a podcast couple of years ago and I still get people tell me they're like, ah, podcasts is really good. [SPEAKER_00]: So I kind of want to hash the same thing today. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I haven't gone back and listened to it because it was fucking years ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: But what else talking about in the podcast is very relevant to life. [SPEAKER_00]: It's very relevant to what we all go through. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're over the edge of 40, if you're 50, if you're in your 60s, you're trying to lose weight, you're a woman, you've had some things happen, paramount applause, menopause, postmenopause, and it's made weight loss that much more difficult, then you are in the right place. [SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: life if we look at it like this and you've been on the earth longer than me. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're going to know this when I talk about it is, well, not that much older. [SPEAKER_00]: Ladies, I'm catching up. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm mid-30s. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm nearly in the, nearly in the bracket. [SPEAKER_00]: But life, life is a series of storms. [SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm pretty sure it was Les Brown.

[SPEAKER_00]: Les Brown, old school, black guy, motivational speaker, absolute ripper of a fellow. [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's still alive. [SPEAKER_00]: But he talks about, he talks [SPEAKER_00]: leaving the storm or in the middle of the space between now and the next storm. [SPEAKER_00]: So pretty much, life is one big fucking storm. [SPEAKER_00]: So are the raining on you, you're leaving it, or you're in that nice little gap until the next thing happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now that's not even like a pessimistic way of viewing things. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, [SPEAKER_00]: naturally in your life, like there's going to be things that are going to need to just rock your world. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a matter of if they're going to rock your world, it's a matter of when they're going to rock the world. [SPEAKER_00]: So like one of the biggest things that happens, like our parents, like our parents are going to die at some point.

[SPEAKER_00]: They might have already died, they might be now, they might be coming to the end of their life, they might be palliative. [SPEAKER_00]: But at some point, [SPEAKER_00]: your world. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not a matter of if that's going to happen, it is going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Your kids, your kids will get sick at some point, maybe have some sort of accident, who knows, you know, break an arm, have a car crash, something horrible is going to happen to people in your life.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that doesn't help the fact, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like we can talk about it and go, [SPEAKER_00]: big event normally throw people off of their access as in like you know you might be going really well and then you get made redundant and because you're a redundant or you're lost your job or your partner was out of work you're like man that really disrupted us and it disrupted your flow when you're trying to lose weight things like that but what I'm getting that like this shit's always going to happen

[SPEAKER_00]: It's always going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a matter of if it's going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: It is going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Something is going to happen to you. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you allow those things to rock you every single time, and just look back at the last 12 months, like how many micro or major events happen, that causes you to disrupt your routine in your flow. [SPEAKER_00]: Like little things, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe a massive expense popped up and something happened to your car and you weren't expecting it. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, fuck, barely got enough money to do this and that maybe something happened with your job. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe something happened to our talk related today. [SPEAKER_00]: Our family friend in the 50s died in the last seven days. [SPEAKER_00]: Like out of fucking nowhere. [SPEAKER_00]: Literally had like a good health screen like a couple weeks ago.

[SPEAKER_00]: Literally doctors like, yep, things were all good and then fucking died. [SPEAKER_00]: like crazy like things happen so we should almost be expecting it like now you're probably listening to the podcast and you're listening to the latest annual I fuck yeah actually shit does happen all the time regularly two people around people third parties all this kind of start

[SPEAKER_00]: So when it comes to your weight loss, if you are waiting for the right time to lose weight or based off your past, looking into your future, which is what we call prediction, it doesn't look very good. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, not in the way that you can't lose weight, but like, something's gonna happen. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you derail every time something happens, what do you think the likelihood of success is gonna be for you as an individual?

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's probably not going to be very fucking good, because the track record hasn't been that great. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, don't get me wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, between the storms, they're sunshine. [SPEAKER_00]: Like life is good and it's fun, and it's a big game, and it's challenging, and you're winning, and you lose, and all that kind of stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't give up, you keep going, you can never lose, really.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like you can't lose, unless you get to the end and go fuck, I've got like a list of regrets. [SPEAKER_00]: But that is a lot of people, a lot of people get to that point. [SPEAKER_00]: So, do you want to be one of those people who are forever off their game because of an event that happened? [SPEAKER_00]: Because now we know there's gonna be more events pop up. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just a matter of time.

[SPEAKER_00]: So when they happen, you can go, ah, I kind of expected something to happen, but you have enough resilience, [SPEAKER_00]: and forethought to keep going because you've already thought about it. [SPEAKER_00]: You've already kind of not planned for it. [SPEAKER_00]: Some possible to plan for randomness. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, in a way, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, right now, we're kind of planning for it.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you can predict it to a T. But you can go like when something bad happens, you're like, fuck, it has happened. [SPEAKER_00]: It did happen. [SPEAKER_00]: And... [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to keep moving forward regardless. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the ladies that we see win in this program, and I have new ladies start this program every single week. [SPEAKER_00]: Like 10, 15, 20 ladies a week joining this program.

[SPEAKER_00]: They probably don't know much about coaching and things like that, that they're in their workings. [SPEAKER_00]: But that's a lot of ladies. [SPEAKER_00]: Like industry-wise, that's a lot of people join in the program.

[SPEAKER_00]: Referrals, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen,

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's just really not. [SPEAKER_00]: So one of the only companies in Australia is plenty one than America, but like the diet's different, the vibes different. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, fucking go motivation. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's, you know, it's not very Australian, Australians are like, that's too much. [SPEAKER_00]: There's not many, [SPEAKER_00]: People that actually have a service woman over 40.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like literally I talked to so many individuals out there that are like, man, there's not much like catering. [SPEAKER_00]: Like even like most doctors, like, if I can't know, go on HRT. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's just not, because 16% of the population, it's not a massive chunk of the population. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's not, a lot of resources divert it to you guys. [SPEAKER_00]: But for us, it's only what we do. [SPEAKER_00]: So 100% of our clientele is in that 16%.

[SPEAKER_00]: off topic a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: So bring it back for a second. [SPEAKER_00]: That is the problem. [SPEAKER_00]: The problem is people derail all the time and like, oh my god, didn't do this coming? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, expect it, expect it to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Life is full of shit, full of fun, you're either in the storm, leaving the storm or you're just about to enter into the next storm. [SPEAKER_00]: That's how it goes.

[SPEAKER_00]: So account for that and go, you know what, even if you come and sign up to my six month coaching program. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, even if you start, in that six month, something's going to [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's just like Adelaide, one of her clients, poor fucking woman, slipped on the concrete broker leg. [SPEAKER_00]: Two months into the program. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I've done the lady had a car crash and they're mind you.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've got fucking, uh, we work with thousands of ladies right over the years. [SPEAKER_00]: So like, shit's gonna happen to someone eventually.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like crazy shit happens, car accidents, ladies get like cancer diagnosis, ladies start and go through fucking foreblown menopause, like just things happen and they always do happen now Now we allow for that and things and the things from precautions we take and things we can do [SPEAKER_00]: But just accept that it's not going to be a smooth ride. [SPEAKER_00]: Stop waiting for the perfect moment, because the perfect moment is very fleeting.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're never going to get a clean six to twelve months just to facken how I'm going to have this out. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't work like that for anybody. [SPEAKER_00]: So take it, run with it, plan for it, and just keep going, and I'll see you in the next one.
