Well, you heard doctor Nex MacLean. They're saying it's a day for adventure, and if it's a day for adventure for you, then let's find out what Jeff Aleff is

up to. Thanks Amy, good morning. Strong rains predicted to continue in k Jon with a high of just fifteen degrees celsius today, strong winds from the north northwest, and last night the South African Weather Service issued a yellow level one warning for disruptive rainfall that'll push through until this evening, posing some potential risks again of localized flooding. And that's especially considering the very saturated soul conditions from

the frontal system that hit Cape Chwan earlier. And you asked to remain vigilant in light of a rising need for humanitarian assistance. The city is collaborating with a network of non governmental organizations or NGOs to continue outreach efforts and those includes provision of hot meals, blankets, personal hygiene

packs to those affected in the adverse weather conditions. Tomorrow showing signs of starting to clear with the wind swinging to the southeastern, it will be getting a few degrees warmer, but keep in mind those people who are going to be really struggling in these conditions Peninsua around us. The hike scheduled for today, I'm not sure whether it's going to happen due to the rain, but it's the Myburg Ravines two waterfalls, meeting at nine am at Farrier's Way

in hout Bay. But if you wanted to find out, you can send a watchapp to Les Watson eight four eight five six one seven four to two eight four eight five six one seven four to two. The hike foot to morrow is Corridor Ravine meeting at eight o'clock in Teresa Avenue. It's going to be along the pipe track up Corridor Ravine backdown Woody Ravine. A very strenuous five to six hour day out. Speaking of hiking, just a word from sand Parks. They are reopening some of

the trails in the Tokai and Silver Mine. It's going to be happening in phases from July. The first following, of course, the big fires that affected nearly two and an and attacts. So silver Mine Gate two located on the eastern side of okpp Zebek and that includes the waterfall, Colkbow Trails, Echo and Space Bona Valleys, Boys Drive and Steenberg Plateau trails. Those will be reopening on the first

of July. Likewise, Upper Tokai will reopen on the same day, excluding levels four and five, which will stay closed due to unstable terrain during the raining season. Silver Mine at Gate one on the western side of Okoppszebek and that includes the popular silver Mine Dam, the Elephant's Eye Trail

and the silver Mine Riverwalk. Those will stay closed and the targeted reopening of those trails is September of this year, while the silver Mine Dam and Riverwalker are expected to only reopen in December of this year, pending some ongoing structural restorations. Sand Parks would also like to thank the Honoree Rangers as well as the Kai Mountain Bikers for their continued support in the rehabilitation areas and once again

that appeal. Although some trails may appear unaffected visually, access has been managed to ensure user safety and support the ecological restoration. So there we have it. Given the inclement flooding in lower to Kai and request from partners, the organizers have also canceled today's visible safety patrol hike in Tokai, so if you're planning on going on that hike in Tokay today, the Visible Safety Patrol hike, please be advised that has been canceled. That's where I'm going to leave

it for today. We'll be back tomorrow. Keep yourselves warm, keep yourselves dry, and as I said, spare a thought for those who are really struggling in some of the areas because of the suriin So until tomorrow, yes, for now,
