Very often, if not always, we need to create jobs running periodically. It can be database cleanup, mail sending, statistics calculations, … One implementation among other is to create DirectActions invoked by Cron but there is a better option: Quartz. Quartz is a famous java open source library that allows developers to create jobs easily.
