Ep 228 // Jay Wolman

Jay Wolman is a chef, excuse me, executive chef who is based in Brooklyn.

Jay has cooked in NYC landmark kitchens such as King, Diner, Marlow & Sons, and Hart’s. Jay was the Executive Chef at food scene newcomer Lalou and also the chef at Mimi.

Jay is inspired by the producers, local and small, that bring their blood, sweat, and tears to the product of him having the honor of showcasing on the plate.

Jay is dedicated to teaching, creating, and inspiring others through food.

I first met Jay when I worked over at Homecoming and would always love seeing Jay and his wife as well as taking their coffee order. Great to have them in the neighborhood. 

I ran into Jay at Leo’s in Williamsburg eating their delicious pizzas. We love chefs eating at other restaurants. It’s like when you’re in school and you see your teacher at the grocery store. Not the same but mans gotta eat.
