Darby Irrgang is a Cinematographer, Camera Operator and Camera Assistant based in Philadelphia and New York.
I first met Darby on the set of Soul Glo’s music video for ‘Driponomics’ directed by Dan White, Assistant Director by friend and guest of the show Marisa Dabice of Mannequin Pussy and Director of Photography our lovely guest, Darby Irrgang.
We run in similar circles. 1 degree of separation. The music scene in Philly is one of the best music scenes I have ever seen. It is so supportive. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone used to work at the same coffee shop or restaurant and everyone who has a music project makes a music video.
Darby has worked for many of your favorite musicians such as Kurt Vile, Soul Glo, Tigers Jaw, Sadie from Speedy Ortiz
Her film photos are bomb too. Her photos of Rivka from Spirit of the Beehive for Radmad Jewelers are lit.
