Dramatic Opening: The Financial Dilemma We All Face

So I titled this episode, Why Are We All Screwed Financially? Now that might seem a little dramatic. Really seem dramatic. Even for me. But I do think a lot of people Millennial, Gen Z, baby boomers, whatever label you want to put on yourself might be facing hard financial times. Now, the news does tell us every day, I mean, again, since 2014, I mean, again, social media, lots of negativity out there. That's what sells. So, we are faced with two different things, right? What can we do here?

Avoid the chaos and really build a foundational plan that helps them. Now, as I've been doing financial analysis, we've done countless of them, lots of them.

Breaking Down Financial Personalities: Ostriches vs. Clouds

We've been seeing basically two types of people. And I was thinking about this a lot recently, hence why I'm doing this episode solo. And I thought about the two, two business names. And I will say it as. Two types of clients that we see and where they're kind of being taking control of their own financial destinies. There is the ostrich and the cloud. So one of the financial services names I wrote down was head in the sand financial services. We deliberately refuse to accept the truth.

just like you, right? So you all know those people, those people that put their head in the sand, hope that it's going to, um, change, that things will be different, or they just don't even know that anything's going on around them. Their head is literally in the sand. I mean, that is what it is. That's what that means is to deliberately refuse to accept the truth. That's how that slogan came around. And the thing is, is, You know, that's okay in some regards.

Sometimes I don't really care to know. I want to just put my head in the sand when it comes to, maybe, some of the politics or some of the negative media out there. I'd just rather be oblivious to it. I mean, that's, that's me sometimes, right? And then there's the other type of people. Those are the Head in the Clouds. Uh, Head in the Clouds Financial Services is the other one, other company name. Um, again, these are two, uh, companies I was like, oh, these are pretty good.

People will would join that people would be a part of that and head in the clouds. Financial services is where they have these humongous goals. They're they're going to have a, uh, I don't know, a jet or all kinds of, uh, A hundred or a thousand properties in three years, whereas they've never actually done anything. They had never actually built a plan or a strategy. Their head is literally in the clouds. Right? And sometimes that's okay. You want to have some vision?

You want to have something, uh, where it's, it's, it's a little far off. Right? And so that's, uh, Good thing to kind of be optimistic in that regard. Um, but sometimes it's like, eh, you know, you need some reality. You need to put your feet on the ground, right? That, that kind of thing. So I've seen those different types of people. Now, now the reality is that we, are in a place in our world where there's a lot of negative news.

And so we'll put our head in the sand and then we're in a place where economic data, jobs, all kinds of stuff seems a little scary. And, and we're told, well, let's just go. Go do this or that, uh, and you'll be fine. Uh, just don't worry about it. And so our head goes in the clouds. Now, I think that we have to be in the middle. We have to be in both worlds.

Sometimes it's, it's a, we need to, um, kind of put our head in the sand in all areas, different areas of our life to be able to really focus on what needs to be done. To be what's important to us, right?

Strategies for Financial Stability and Growth

So that's one of the reasons we wrote the book, right? So, so a lot of times we'll have clients that are almost like they're poking their head out of the sand and they're like, man, I need to figure this out. I need to figure this out. I need to do something. And so are. Five Spoon Stones book helps them to get a strategy together, right? And, and so that's really important, right?

To, to be able to set their sights, track their in and out, inspect the progress, look for 1 percent and live deliberately, right? That's important to take our head out of the sand and really figure out a plan, right? And to know that we are going to go somewhere, not just avoid the problem, right? And then for the other ends.

You know, the head in the clouds, maybe it needs to go down to reality where we make those 1 percent adjustments where we are saying, okay, I'm going to get there, but we need to do the little things, right? The little things that help us get there. And so how do we go? From up in the clouds to, uh, in the real world and making sure that we are doing those little things that help us get there.

Right. So that's something I I've thought about is we can be a part of two financial companies and re the reality is in, in the financial services world, I bet you we would, Join either one of them and they would make a lot of money being a part of San Financial Services or Head in the Cloud Financial Services. Um, if you think or have heard that, you know, let me know. I'm, I love to hear.

Empowering Your Financial Future: Beyond Ostriches and Clouds

But, but the re, but what I want to do is help our clients have a good plan, a good strategy. That's again, why we've built our financial company and where we use a lot within Infinite Banking. Profit first to help us not just think that it's okay to avoid problems and not just be in the place where we're avoiding everything and we have some hope where we maybe need to have some of the head in the clouds. idea, right? I think that's in our business.

If we did not in our former business, the coffee shop, we did not, uh, have some idealism. We probably wouldn't have gone into that whole thing in the first place. We were a bit naive. We had our head in the clouds a little bit, but we needed some guidance to help us navigate and overcome those things. So that was my solo episode. The idea is that we are not screwed financially. The world, the news is going to tell us negative things.

Uh, there is going to be news that says one thing and you'll find the same news somewhere else and it'll be spun in different places. And, and we might say, well, that news is, is, uh, horrible. So I need to just put my head in the sand and forget about it. Or we might avoid it altogether and just keep going with our head in the clouds.

But we need to take control of our own financial destinies, regardless of what the Fed's doing, what this is doing, what president is, is coming up or not coming up. How do we overcome that? How do we not be the, um, person who has, um, I don't know, screwed if you will, right, because I see them all the time. I see some baby boomers. That are doing amazing. And I see some that are not so much. Most of the time.

The reason I see this is because they've been a part of those two camps too often, whether you're a baby boomer, a millennial or whatever doesn't matter. But they've been a part of those financial companies for too long. And my hope is that you. our listeners are going to be a part of something more. That's again why Wealth Wisdom Financial is in existence. So we are not going to be a part of either of those companies.

We want to help empower you to build your own foundation, to build your own trajectory and plan.
