Episode description

When thinking about the lessons my Mom taught me as a child I am reminded of Proverbs 31.   Yes, she is a virtuous woman, but I specifically remember the passage which said “she watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness (Proverbs 31:27 NIV).   Her goal for her children was to teach how to manage household finances and prepare them for a prosperous future.     We share that goal in this episode as we will talk about the lessons we learned.

TODAY’S CONVERSATION

What Mom said about:

Saving and putting money away for emergencies

Making sure there was plenty for the family, I didn’t know I was considered poor

Shopping without going into debt, lay-a-away

Credit Cards, yes with proper use

Dealing with creditors when you don’t seem to have enough

A WORD FROM WESLIA and WILLA

We believe in living abundantly in Christ and not allowing money to pull your focus from the gracious God who gives us all the ability to produce wealth.    Our goal for you is faith in Christ, confidence in managing your finances and the ability to live a fulfilled life of purpose.

Bye for now and remember to celebrate the lessons you received in your childhood as you manage your money confidently, love life and live abundantly!
