Yeah. And then this guy, Preston B. Nicholas, legitimized this theory when he detailed the supposed events in a series of books called The Montauk Project, Experiments in Time. And so he supposedly was one of these people that had had the experiments done on him.

He opens up the briefcase and you see light. Now, I don't know if we're gonna find this out in the show, but apparently in the play on Broadway, it explains that that is when Henry is taken

Vecna's gonna use whatever weakness you have against you, and that was Will's weakness, the fact that he was hiding from his family and friends that he was gay. So we needed that moment so he could be strong enough to fight Vecna, right?
