This listener suggestion is the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and, honestly, while we probably would have never picked it ourselves we actually loved it. Wrath (yes, that's pronounced how you think it is) is the king of the vampires/angsty man trying to turn down his destiny. Until Beth shows up, turns into a vampire, and turns his word upside down. Vampire god makes an appearance, there's a cat, and there are sweet fight scenes. And yes, Alison will be reading the rest of the series.
